Instructions

  1. Use the Patchme command to bypass the SOE Launcher
  2. Download the Very Vanilla compile zip file at the bottom of this post.
  3. Download the RGUpdater.
  4. Use the RGUpdater to update your MacroQuest files. Instructions are here.
  5. Run MacroQuest2.exe from that folder
  6. Run EverQuest.exe
  7. In-Game, type "/plugin <plugin name>" to add all plugins you wish to use
  8. Click Here for Plugin Commands/Descriptions.

Updated for today's eqgame.exe client patch.
If you are having issues looting, please get the new compile post with Ninjadvloot.inc v4.6.2, this fixes corpse close timeout issues before fully looting.

Buffing with gear died for some reason. (at least for me) Checked all six of my toons and the same thing they are using spells but not gear to buff

1) You are referring to the KissAssist macro.. and not the compile for MaqroQuest2 itself having the issue.
2) The problem with KissAssist not buffing using items properly has been resolved, and updated in BOTH the current compile's zip (i just updated it) and the KissAssist thread itself.
3) As of the time of your posting, you have not downloaded the updated MacroQuest2 zip, nor the updated KissAssist.mac file.
(I just checked who downloaded the updated files)

If you're using the redguides updater, make sure "overwrite macros" is checked.

Mine crashes on login... It does get a bit further after I updated with RGupdater. I'm also using ISboxer and Inner space.

First, as I am usually just lingering and enjoying your work, I would like to say thanks for your work. It is very appreciated. I am a mild user, maps and melee mostly but still, it is very helpful boxing.

I am having the same problem. Just as the toon enters EQ it crashes. I am only running 1 modified window in my UI and they did not modify any UI files with this update. I am not running any other mods. However, just to be sure I loaded the default UI and tried again. Same results. I even deleted all the files in the MQ2 directory and started over. This actually got me into EQ with MQ running.

After that I loaded my plugins up again and reloaded my UI that is all default except the player window and so far everything seems to be working fine again...

So, as I started this I was looking to get help, but as I typed I did some trouble shooting to see if I could figure it out and in the end, maybe I can be of help if anyone else is crashing.
 
Did they change the way ini file loads plugins? I noticed this when using the updater

- Fixed the EQRAIDWINDOW struct
This means caption classcolors for raidmembers will again work as intended.
- Changed how plugins are loaded from MacroQuest.ini
I don't think this will affect anyone, but from now on
when a plugin is unloaded the [Plugins] section will not be erased
The old mq2plugin=mq2plugin is still valid, but eventually
you will end up with a list of plugins where the entries
will look like mq2plugin=1 or mq2plugin=0
I did this because I'm preparing the loader for being able to unload/load
plugins directly from its iconmenu.
 
I am crashing if i zone or try to unload mq2. its my first day back after a couple months. Not sure if i am doing something wrong or what

Most likely an out-of-date plugin.


Open RGUpdate, click "settings" and uncheck:

"MQ2Autoskills"
"MQ2Otd"
"MQ2WinXP"
"MQ2Timestamp"
"MQ2BagWindow"
"MQ2Dps"
"MQ2GearScore"

If you're still crashing, please post your MacroQuest.ini
 
I crashed before i ran isboxer too. I did have to uncheck MQ2BagWindow. But i still crashed with isboxer but have tried it without since i unchecked it. Also for the last year i been running isboxer an never had any issue. I took a couple month break an just got back an this problem came up. I am sure its something simple. I ran it without an even made a new Character i crashed when i zoned. What ever is causing it is tring to send in a crash report that is being blocked.

Delete all teh MQ2*.dlls in your mq2 folder and use the RGUpdater again
 
The nice this about getting the eq has crashed dialog is that it also tells you where it has created a .dmp file, send me that file and I can usually determine if it's a mq2 bug or a eqbug.

I got two of those dmp files today..... they are large files, but I'll shoot you one of them.
 
Servers going down, probably a patch. I won't be patching if i can help it. Can't live without KA
