Was this a mandatory or optional patch? From what I saw this seemed more for EQ2 then Everquest;

Attention players: we will perform maintenance beginning at 4:00 AM PDT* on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. We expect this maintenance to take at least four hours.

This will impact the following SOE services:
Commerce functions, including purchases for all games
Game, web and forum logins for all games

Game servers will be down for the following games:
◦DC Universe Online
◦EverQuest II
◦Landmark
◦PlanetSide 2

Thank you for your patience as we complete this maintenance

Just asking...

Anyone else have trouble connect to EQBC after patching? When I try it says "DoCommand - Couldn't parse /bccmd connect"

Apparently this patch is not required, I had a computer disconnect from EQ yesterday and still running fine this morning without patching (0721 Vanilla MQ).

Second computer with a different IP did not even disconnect from EQ and is merrily chugging along.

It's not required but since Mask already got the new compile up, may as well go ahead and patch it lol

It seemed to work fine for most things after the client patch, but there were some issues with a couple pointers or timers for what I could tell. Most things worked though.

Has this compile been nerfed? I just downloaded it, wiped my MQ2 folder, reinstalled it and updated EQ and still get incorrect client version.

Do you have Macroquest loaded before you are logging in? If so that is why, you need to open it at the char select screen.

2 basic reasons you get incorrect client.

1. Wrong compile
2. EQ needs updating

Please check to make sure you are using the latest compile.
Please run the EQ launcher and try to update your everquest.

Not entirely true. If you launch the standard Launchpad application then you might run into issues.

Now if you do what alot of other folks do by running the eqgame.exe with appropriate arguments then you can have MQ2 running before launching Everquest.

I figured it out :) not too long ago my main harddrive died and when I patched EQ with launchpad it installed it in my User\public directory for some strange reason. I always use winEQ2, and it wasn't pointing to the correct directory. Thanks for all the quick replies :)
