Very Vanilla comes with some features enabled that I do not want active. Layer 2 shows map hacks. I can also see things in the world that I should not be able to. Is there a way to run Very Vanilla without anything active that allows the use of Kiss Assist, follow and the //tell server thing with nothing else active?

I ask because I use no plug ins and very few features of MQ2, but I was recently suspended for cheating. This is my first suspension and you can see from my join date that I have been running for a long time with no issues. I have convinced myself it has to do with the MySEQ or picking up a collection item I shouldn't have been able to see, but obviously I have no idea why I was suspended other than "cheating". I don't run anything other than kissassist. I am going to try to discontinue using MQ2 but I will definitely miss it. Mindlessly mashing the same buttons over and over for a caster box definitely dilutes the fun, and with my play times, I can't get anything done without my boxes.

"hacks" is not really a useful term in that context and kind of silly. All of MacroQuest is not allowed by DBG and would be considered "hacks". Very Vanilla offers a "non-active hack" meaning we don't warp, or insta-1shot mobs or do any other "active" hacks.

you can unload mq2map if you don't want them on.

/plugin mq2map unload

/plugin list will tell you all active plugins

you're still living in the past with macroquest2 "legacy" so you will be able to unload everything you want except MQ2IC.dll

MacroQuest is definitely against EverQuest's Terms and Conditions

Is this allowed?
Very Vanilla only works on servers that allow multi-boxing, and does not contain game-breaking active hacks or cheats. While playing, please follow these guidelines to be a good representative of our community:
  • Stay at your keyboard.
  • Be considerate of other players.
While our goal is to make multiboxing software accepted by the entire EverQuest community, Darkpaw Games doesn't endorse any software but their own, and they have suspended users in the past for using MacroQuest. Use with caution on their servers.

per usual "please no tinfoil hats" warning otherwise right to fippy.

/plugin mq2map unload
I'm not sure what you mean about being able to see things in the world you shouldn't be able to see.

To be clear, Kissassist is cheating...macroquest is cheating, MySEQ is cheating. Everything here is cheating. Except perhaps talking :-)

mod edit:
Unfortunately, MacroQuest of any flavor is against > DBG's Terms of Service <

DBG's stance on 3rd party apps > here < 3rd party apps include things like MacroQuest and MySEQ

Does Daybreak not take action because they can not see the application running to take an action or do they just turn a blind eye until an action is forced? Everything I have read seems to indicate they are pretty content with a don't ask don't tell attitude towards us. To me, if they know it is occurring, but don't take an action unless it is harmful to the game or the community, then that works in my grey area.

Again, just trying to understand how I could have got on the radar to make sure I don't do it again.

no one can answer this question outside of anecdote and behind closed doors except dbg, and they're not going to. Plus it doesn't really change anything for anyone.

We have had people suspended for sitting in GL with MQ loaded. We have had people suspended that hadn't logged in in a week but used MQ previously. We have had people suspended in all modes, all times, all play styles.

You load up MQ on your computer while playing EQ and you are rolling the dice on a suspension all day every day.

If you want to be "safe" delete MQ from your computer. It really is that simple.
