Problem - Very common KA issues I experience

Can we get a fix for characters that are Silver chain buffing because of them not being Gold? KA isn't recognizing that they can only use rank 1 despite it saying rank 2 and just chain casting, we've been over this already though =P

It's been an ongoing issue for like a month now (11/20 is when I made the thread. We discovered what the issue was around 1/15 - 1/20th). Also people have started asking me if I know anything about a fix since I have a thread on the issue and since aforementioned it's been 3 weeks with no official fix. I also saw at least one other thread opened about this issue. I haven't checked for more but it seems like a common enough issue.

Can we get a fix pushed for this already? <3

I will go back through my notes and see if I can find the fix. I remember us fixing this a while back. I you need to you can use the Dual tag for buffs as a temp fix for now.

Yea dual doesn't work - it may work on some but it doesn't work on everything sadly.

It's all good and no hard feelings, just hopefully get the change into the next release. It can be frustrating getting characters to follow and listen to my commands when they're too busy chain buffing constantly =P

Bumping this for Maskoi and Ctaylor22, just checking to see if there has been any progress on finding a fix for this Issue for some of us.

Yea. We have been working on it. Just haven't had much time and still needs some final testing. Should be done with it this weekend.

I am noticing that my healers are spamming heals again in the revamped TBM CoD because of the zonewide debuff. I know you had said before that you guys made it so it wouldn't do this, it seems like something got broken the last update to where it now spams heals again.

I tried to do TBM this weekend and between the buff spam and heal spam I had to play my healers manually =P

- never mind I think it's because I started kissassist in another zone, then zoned into this zone without restarting it. It now seems to be working fine (Obviously the program can't tell it needs to run that line of code if it doesn't know it's in CoD/CoSul - so I am going to assume that was the issue)

Yep, KA uses the zone it is started in to check for the debuff or not..

Kiss seems to still be unable to determine between group beneficial and AE detrimental in some cases:

That's the paladin group armor spell and it won't cast it when too many mobs are around cause it thinks it's gonna agro more. That's when I need you to cast it dammit!!!!!

Also, I must ask, is there any writeup coming for MQ2 nav working hand in hand with kissassist? I meshed my zone this morning and turned it on and only to have my tank run into another room, get stuck on the wall and my whole group wiped. I still swear I gotta be doing something wrong with MQ2 nav for everyone to be getting excited about it and all it causes me is a headache.

The biggest issue I find with MQ2 nav is it hugs the walls too much. WAYYY too much. I feel that it should run up the CENTER of all hallways. When it hugs the walls any little bump on the wall will get you stuck. Also when experimenting with it today when it started to do something I didn't want it (like it would start running into a room i didnt want it to run into) to do it was impossible to stop the bot while it continued on its path. This lead it to agroing the whole room and wiping my group. Then I released and the tank was doing something weird in guild hall, running around in the room and doing glitched movement side to side. I couldn't get it to stop no matter what I did and I watched my character do it on another one of mine that died and it looked VERY bot like. I had to /q to get it to stop.

When I start up Kissasisst the first thing my tank does is run straight into a pack of 8 mobs and I can't get him to stop doing it because of MQ2 nav. He keeps trying to follow some path... I really don't even know what. He won't survive long enough for me to see what's going on, all I know is I am getting very frustrated as I have spent the last hour or so wiping.

Here are two pictures I took cause I keep wiping:

This is what the mq2 window says

This is where he runs to and dies, my group is the large black blob obv so you cant see my names.

I'm going to send Ctaylor22 a video of what happens when I release and get to guild lobby, different things happen each time but I think it's really stupid to have it so your characters move around in Guild Lobby when you die. I think MQ2 Nav is staying on as you zone

You can unload nav and it will default back to LoS or advpath. You can also tell nav to stay further from walls but I haven't taken the time to figure out how yet. Make a hot button for /nav stop. That will stop his nav movement and allow you to take over.

I unloaded it but I had to actually /q the character for him to load up kiss without it. It was giving me a lot of issues so I just did the good ol' turn it off and on again.

Each time they make an Mq2 nav announcement I get excited but it still feels so far off from being actually good. It's a shame too because the amount of time, love and money that are going into it are worth better results than what we have.

I don't even want to play around with it any more today because each time I released my tank to the guild lobby they were moving around in it and I couldn't get them to stop. /nav stop /afol off /end - nothing did it, only /q finally got them to stop moving around.

One time it was glitchy looking quick side to side jerky movement and another time it was the standard them backing up and then strafing a few feet, backing up and strafing a few feet...... I can just imagine someone leaving their chars AFK with this and a youtube video ending up on daybreak forums of a bot broken in Guild Lobby ....

You need the newest version of nav and kiss. The issues your explaining have been resolved. Their not nav issues but Kiss trying to use nav. It moving around is KA trying to find a spot nav can move from / to.

Edit the latest KA and make the changes listed or I can PM you my edited copy until the latest MQ2 compile comes out.

I have the newest Kiss, which i think i would have to have in order to even be having the issue, right? =P

This is where I can get MQ2Nav, right?

I'm not really sure how to update a plugin so I am not sure what I should be downloading and replacing in my directory. I've only updated macros before. Me not having the updated plugin would make a lot of sense of why I am having issues though. I figured it would have to be a problem on my end.

Make sure you have KA 9.2.3 and change the then make the change for the /nav to remove the extra items at the end of the line to remove the things before the .Z. Keep in mind it's case sensitive.

For NAV plugin only it's not tied to anything else in MQ2. So you just download from the link your provided and replace your local files.

Mq2nav doesn't have any dependencies, just drop it in the release folder and overwrite the old.

There are settings when creating your mesh, that will increase the buffer from objects, keeping you off the objects like walls. You should be able to mark doorways and rooms as off limits or even the entry to a room as a higher cost as to not enter the room and continue down the hallway.

I still need to play with the new meshes more and see what works best.. Let me know what zone your pulling and I will see if I can re-create the same issue.

Right now MQ2 nav does two fatal things that make the whole plugin obsolete (imho)

The first is it cuts corners too sharply, if you can actually adjust that it would be major. There are some zones (like Crypt of Decay, the one I was in) with lumps on the walls that can get you stuck.

I also had an issue in Riftseekers where MQ2 nav was running up a flight of stairs and it would cut the corner at the top of the stairs too closely. Smaller races would get stuck on the lip of the stairwell because of this. I had to use levitate to avoid the bug.

I haven't been able to test it out that much because wiping 5 or 6 times an hour is enough to piss anyone off. I'm just really glad to know the issue is on my end and it's not MQ2 Nav sucking. I'd love to see a kissassist that works as well as it does now just with MQ2 Nav. I will update it tonight or tomorrow and play with it some more.

The macro will test to see what will work when you start the macro. The macro will check if you have MQ2Navigation plugin loaded and if a mesh for the zone loaded. If either of those checks fails it defaults to LOS. MQ2AdvPath can only be used by setting the Path entry in the ini file or passing a path via the command line. So check and make sure your Mesh is loading for the zone you are in. Also make sure you are using the correct path name when using ADVPath, or you will default to LOS pulling.
