Problem - Update erasing my game settings.

The last two times I've ran the updater it erased all my in game settings. my keys, and chat colors, ect. I've never had this problem before. I finally got them all set up again and today's update wiped them out again. Did something change?

Does anyone know which file contains all of those general game settings please? I can't have this happen again, need to copy that file.

Hotkeys ect are :

UI_Toonname_Servername.ini

Combat abilities, options i.e. sound/music toggle

Toonname_Servername.ini

Make sure they arent read only. If using ISboxxer check your virtual file configuration.

When I change the settings in the main everquest settings, it changes it across all my accounts. The color of the chat, and which filters I see in the chat windows, ect. There's no place it saves the general settings, instead of each individual characters hotkeys? I looked through though files and don't see anything about my settings that keep changing.

That is really odd. MQ2 shouldn't touch the files in the EQ folder. Do you keep your MQ in your. Everquest folder?

no, I don't even keep it on the same hard drive. It's never done this before.

Have never seen this happen before. Did you log in before running the updater to make sure it's the RG updater thats adjusting the settings and not the DB Launcher itself? As others have said, the updater shouldn't be touching your EQ settings.
