Release Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt 4.1991b

Having some pathing issues on the abysmal sea quests. Not doing turnins.
Tonlyri Lyhin is 90 degrees to the left on Simple belts, on tailoring.
I did check and update my meshes.

a SQLite browser of your choice, I use DBBrowser

Prolly can do it in VSCode .. Don't quote me.. (with extensions)
My workaround was to set the RecipeSkip field to 1 for all Rk. II spells. This is forcing the lower level recipes to go first. Wow, are there ever a lot of Research recipes though.

At least there is one person out there that isn't like me.. when crafting this is me:

I made a new character, ran it, and of course, no issues..

Appreciate you taking the time.. Not sure on the "of course" comment. I wouldn't have reported it if I hadn't, re-patched eq. Re-booted my PC, re-patched redguides, updated meshes(there were none) and verified everything I have going on. Did it do it every time in the beginning no, but when doing the shirts portion is when it manifested.
I also had a issue running into the pottery kiln by the small bank in pok. But it was inconsistent when the toon would cut the corner short. Hence why I didn't report it yet, as I wasn't sure how to replicate it.
Thanks anyhow.

I have noticed if the recipe you are learning is something you already have in your inventory (thickeners quills magic clay etc) it will sell or destroy all of them you have in your inventory when its done with the combine instead of the one you just created. I just destroyed all my inks while watching it do combines.

Yes, it is designed to destroy or sell anything that is the final product with the checkboxes on..

Both these methods were designed for things like making a bunch of worthless pottery, or selling a bunch of made jewelry, or skill ups.

I have to think of, if I go by count, what the implications of that would mean.. it would probably do something similar but not all at once..

When issues arise, and I am not being facetious, I wish it happened to hundreds of people, because it is easier to track down and potentially correct, when it happens to a couple of people, life is hard..

All that said, if I cannot re-create it, it is an uphill battle.

Yes, but it was selling an entire stack of stuff it said I needed for later recepies. also, had an issue with not selling low level spells on research with extremely low value. LIke less than 1 plat with sell set to 0.

1711850743433.png
Edit: Bunch of spells it didnt sell and/or made twice.

another small thing i noticed, when it was trying to make supernova and ice comet spells it would try and make the spell again and fail cause it didnt have fine supple runic hide. Not sure if i had more than one of those it would keep trying to do it and eat all my hides.

Yeah, that is an issue.. because if you set the threshold to 0, these all "exceed" it and should sell, if it is the spellcaster's essence ones, those are worthless, and no drop too I believe.

The other ones, yeah, I have seen that, and, vexed, stymied even.. I could just remove the threshold and figure people will sell it all if selling, or that would backfire...

So.. yeah.. the reason I don't/didn't see that is because I usually do a complete run without all the parchments and let it make all the lower stuff.

The issues I can see arising by "fixing" is if I set the sell to 1, it will sell 1 and if it got a stack or more than 1 from the craft it will sell the just the 1, not a world ending conundrum, but a conundrum none the less.

Ok, is this because the recipe may be wrong, or continue is on and is a "hide eater"? or something else?

I see 2 different comet spells, and one supernova.. there are other recipes that will eat the hides that is for sure..

7 recipes use the fine supple runic hide.. (SupaNova)
10 recipes use the Pristine Fine Supple Runic Hide (Comet)

It would complete the combine, succeed, then try again. thats how i ended up with 2 ice comets.

I don't mean to brag, well, yes I do, three-peat for winning the software awards for Tradeskill Construction Set NeXt!

Two questions.
First - When I click the x on the upper right of the tcn window because it seems to stop working it closes, but the Lua does not stop. How do I re-open/display the window? When I type "Lua run tcn" it tells me the Lua is already running and does not re-open/dislpay the window.
Second - when I attempt to do some crafting and do not have a particular item I attempt to find out what I'm missing by checking the "Info" checkbox, but when I do I'm greeted with a blank white window that looks like this:

It used to work but now appears broke. Is there a remedy to this?

Have I stated how much I love this resource yet......

I have watched the video over many times and I may be missing it however, "How can I tell if I already know a recipe?" Thanks
In the context of Artisan crafting, it writes an output file from EQ and then compares it to a list and determines what recipes need to be made and ones you know.

In the context of everything else, well, other than loading every recipe skill every time you do a recipe or for the session, I know not. The only alternative is using the UI for a container and it will show (mostly) what you know based on your search parms.

When the GUI goes away and it is still running it is caused by (TCN) no money, no space, typically, to get it back, /Lua pause tcn or /Lua pause if nothing else is going on.

The white screen of death is a new one, I wonder if it happens with any other ImGUI based apps. It sounds like something got corrupted or a setting went awry.

Just got this and am having some problems. Hope you can hold my hand a little. I am sure this is something I haven't changed yet.

1. Won't open doors...do I just need new meshes?

2. Gets stuck on everything at small bank. I spend more time getting my toon unstuck then he actually crafts. Hopefully this is another mesh problem.

3. Can I make it so I can tell it to make X # of items to skill up and it will buy ALL the mats to do those X# of crafts, instead of doing 1 at a time?

Like I said I just got this so kinda new at it.

If you are using an illusion, levitating, or riding a mount, bad things will happen for sure.
I did include a mesh (outdated) in the package when you get it, it should be in the root of your Lua folder.
Places I see people can get stuck at is the mixing bowl and running by the alchemy and poison crafting table, as shorties (gnomes primarily), other than that I have not seen it happen. I imagine run speed plays a factor too, as in there is a delay when moving and you moved x distance when you only are required to move y distance. Possibly focus also, I make sure the screen is blank when I am not on it as it has different behavior, I assume ISBoxer is fine. It does try to rewind, duck, and jump for toons that are in your way when it can.
If the doors is a distance thing (which shouldn't be by default) you can go into /nav ui -- debug tools -- door handler debug and increase the slider over 20 (not recommended).

Lastly, in the instructions/FAQ it outlines general steps to perform skill ups. I recommend selling or destroying, with continue and skill on to reach the desired level with a decent amount as the make count. if it is stackable, find out the stack size, and look at your free slots and plan accordingly, use UI. if it stacks to 1000, like MTP's not much to worry bout. Note: If you fill up all your slots while crafting it will stop and sell or destroy.

If I have missed it, apologies, but cannot find the information.

When I am running the Lua and something happens that interferes with pathing, or I need to get an item, etc., the Lua gives a message that is pausing. When that happens, the UI disappears. I cannot seem to find a list of commands that will bring it back up, unpause it, and so on. Tried expiramenting with /tcn help, but no go. Is there a list of commands somewhere?

Code:
/lua pause
should unpause and bring back the UI

First of all, i know there's probably a huge backlog of ideas to add/upgrades and people probably tell you them constantly, but I like the program, just want to brain dump some ideas so they stop bugging me. I don't think there is a day gone by I haven't used your program for something, but Just some thoughts/ideas Ive got from using your program for the last year or more now. Maybe there's a way to get the program to do them and I'm not aware of it:
  • It would be amazing if I could sort artisan's combines to be completed by trivial.. so I can do the easy stuff first and work up from there
  • Being able to program in a fail rate when shopping, would be nice, and requesting missing components... but mostly shopping. I have noticed there is a 7-10% fail rate even on trivial combines which result in many extra trips to vendors
  • Being able to search for pre-combined items required for your recipes using missing-style request tool. I have tens of thousands of pre-combines already made and have no idea what its gonna want without looking them all up
  • Being able to build a list of which other characters have what and go get them all at once and bring them to you would probably save me hours of waiting for request items. Tradeskill consolidation tool does something like this and its wonderful time saver.
  • If you have shopping on, and guildhall on, and you need an item, topping off everything you're short on while you're out would save dozens of trips to POK. I find my self stopping it, running a mass list, buying stuff, and then going back to the guildhall quite often.
  • being able to choose if it searches depot, bank, inventory or some combination of them so you don't search depots on toons that don't have depots
  • Requesting tools function, make missing tools function, or showing what tools you don't have when you build a mass list so I can get them
  • A way to save some items from destroy. If I am making high level tradeskill gear with destroy on, I'd like to not destroy all of it. Most of it has keywords like "conflagrant", "restless", "memory", etc. I do know there's a place you can load all the items you want to save in.
One issue I had doing artisan fletching, I had plenty of lumber, with continue on, doing COV fletching, and it would say I didnt have enough boards after it just failed to make an arcane staff, which would result to moving to the next recepie. I would run the artisan again and it would make the boards and try again, it dumped the recepie 5 times cause I kept failing for some reason.

Tip for users to save time when doing artisan or large batches: Equip the tradeskill trophy you are going to use the most during a batch before hitting go. This will save hundreds of trophy swaps.

Anyhow, I know you do a ton of work on this program and it's a wonderful work saver. I dont expect these all to be implemented or you to resolve all my issues. I know these are not "easy fixes" and are likely on your radar already, but just food for thought.

Edit: Forgot this one... would like an option to stop at 350 on artisans prizes so you dont eat a bunch of unnecessary tradeskill mats.

just had another issue of something selling stuff i didn't want it to sell while doing artisan combines... I had 3100 restless velium fish scales on me, it made 1 patch out of them, and sold the rest. It hasn't even done the other two recipes yet. It didnt do that with twilight or conflag scales.

So, poking around, yes, I remember our convo about I want 5 but I have 3 already so I should sell 2 or destroy.

The current way I do is have destroy on mostly for fletching, pottery, blacksmithing, sewing, etc.. and sell on for baking, brewing, tinkering, jewelry..

I do know that this does or should apply to the final product only..

I have to think about it and how it may be implemented and if it will apply to all modes (standard, batch, artisan)..

I would say that you should only sell what is made if its gonna sell it, not sell everything. I had this issue with magic clay blocks. If you sell "one yield" of things, its not a big deal, if you sell all the things, big problem rofl.

not sure what you can tell me about this... I have 6 Half-Moon Cut Reflective Emberquartz Crystals and plenty of raw crystals to make more if i didnt.

I update everytime i restart, so it would have been updated in the last few days.

Edit: I ran LS updater again, and still have the problem
is the LSO updated is the question.. if it is "watched" and being updated, should be no problem.

I just checked my running DB and the LSO db and the item has the right item ID.

If you open up the LSO db or artisan db what item # do you have for Half-Moon Cut Reflective Emberquartz Crystal

I think at the very least there needs to be checkbox for all or some.. but even then you will still have a still nagging issue, unless you take into account the amount that you have when you start.

So, basically, you have to say I want 30 MTP's, and you already have 4, and you want to sell them. So you sell 26. sounds easy... but if you make 12 you will sell 12. I will have to add in something to account for less than and more than for a stack.

for destroying items, you would have to again record how many you started with.

for Artisan, I am thinking you want to make a scale, so you record the amount of scales you have, and whatever the result is, you destroy whatever is on the cursor, or you sell the amount (record again) made.

I am sure it is easier than a manned mission to Saturn.
