Question - Toggle Aggro on and off

Anyone have a way to quickly toggle aggro on and off. I had to run in manual mode on a raid today since I couldnt get my SK to stop taking aggro from the raid warrior.

What automation are you running? If you're running the plugin, just change to assist. If you're set as the tank, it'll always do tank stuff.

a lot more info is needed here... First if your not tanking you shouldn't do tanking things... some examples, being marked as MT for group, being in a tank mode on plugin like sictank or tank or huntertank, also disable bold attack on sk and have usevoiceofthule off.

a couple more things HT is now an aggro hammer as are swarm pets now that they dicked with them.
Happy hunting

Consider not using automation on a raid unless your raid is expecting you to run multiple toons and knows you're running MQ. Case in point, you do things like pull agro off the raid tank. We had pally a few years back that used automation on raids and it was painfully obvious that he was botting even though he had just 1 character to play. This was not a guild that wanted people running MQ during raids. He constantly taunted mobs that were not assigned for him to tank and I saw all the tell tale signs of a kissassist run character. I pulled him aside and had to tell him to either get his shit together and figure out how to not be so fucking obvious or just stop using automation on raids. It wasn't like he was playing multiples. He had just 1 character to worry about so either L2P or GTFO.

Could be mq2melee, so I think the commands are '/melee taunt=0' and '/melee save' to turn that off for good or just '/plugin mq2melee unload' to get rid of the plugin. Make sure in the melee section of the KissAssist ini you have UseMQ2Melee=0 or the plugin will be loaded up again.

After that just check the aggro section of your ini that you don't have an entry there to taunt also that would look like 'Aggro1=Taunt|100|<', that would be the only thing in KissAsssist that would trigger a taunt as far as I know.

Then just watch your spell line up in DPS section as plenty of SK spells and AA abilities generate big aggro by design... you could throw in a feign death every now and again to drop aggro like a necro, could add that to your aggro section but has the potential to fire when you don't want it to so probably not a good idea, would probably be better to have a hot key to pause the macro and cast a feign death spell.

Sounds to me like you are running CWTN? "manual mode" as the key indicator I got from that statement as I never hear about KA/RGMercs running in a manual mode.

If so, on raids, make sure you are not the MT of your group, and set a Raid MA, and run assist mode. Have hotkeys made, that you can switch on the fly back and forth if you need to OT something, and then go back to assist mode.

This is a kissassist question in that forum.

Kiss does have manual mode

If its a kiss thing, cou should consider to create 2 different inis like charname_tank.ini and charname_dps.ini.
one hotbutton “/mqp on” will pause your kissassist.
one hotbutton “/mqp off” will resume your aktiv kissassist.
than 2 more hotbuttons to launch your char either in tankmode or dpsmode and you will be better prepared for the future.

It is likely mq2melee doing it. But without seeing the ini, it is guessing at best.
Anual mode allows you to start kiss without it doesn't stuff. And then select which things you want running with slash commands.

I'd suggest unloading mq2melee and turning off mq2melee in your kiss ini

I would also check that you don't have mq2afnuke running as well

Sorry all have been distracted by shiny objects this week. I should have posted the ini to begin with. Here it is...

This is a kissassist question in that forum.

Kiss does have manual mode
Does this mean I can just do /mac kissassist toon_name manual ?

No, just kissassist... Will try all the above suggestions and see what works.

Consider not using automation on a raid unless your raid is expecting you to run multiple toons and knows you're running MQ. Case in point, you do things like pull agro off the raid tank. I usually only automate when running two or more on a raid....

What automation are you running? If you're running the plugin, just change to assist. If you're set as the tank, it'll always do tank stuff.
Sorry, posted the ini....using kissassist

looking at the wiki, there are commands to toggle the DPS and Heal sections, /dpson 0/1/2, /healson 0/1, /mezon 0/1/2/3, but there isn't a command for /aggroon 0/1. So I'm guessing that there isn't a way to turn the aggro section off after you've already started the macro in Tank mode.

Even if there was a command to turn Agro section off, you have agro stuff in your dps section (namely Taunt and Terror)

Yep. OP probably needs a different ini for raiding without all the taunts and agro stuff.

The Agro routine can be used to increase and/or decrease agro. So for a raid your agro settings should be set to reduce your aggro.
