Leveling - to get to 100 fast

ok well by now alot has heard of folks who were 100 the first day and maybe first 4 hrs of server openeing this is one way they did it and i beg you to use common sense with this as one person didint and basicallly caused alot of unwanted attention.


first this will require you to have 45.00 dollers in station cash 30 minimum

2 accounts one will recieve the exp other wioll get the exp

if 100 is goal you take a 95 toon you no longer want and kill him down to say level 40 to 50 to be safe

next change that toons name but dont log him out

next take the toon you want to be 100 and change his name to the old name of the corpses

then use your veteran aa or put him in a group with 2 or 3 cleric mercs and let them rez him up and bam you are now 100.

this is where the extra 15 comes in if you want after you are done change name back to original name and there ya go.

i do not reccomend this on the first day of any expac as it just draws attention to yourself.

i dont know of anyone else knowing about this as i figured this out about a year ago after wanting to take a name of a toon for another and then all the suddon i was rezzed on new toon by merc and bam.

im sure you can figure out ways of achieveing this but this is basics of how it works dont do this in guild lobby or pok lol.

could you be banned for such an activity? It seems kinda on the edge of *not allowed* type of things that would maybe be considered an exploit since they already wipe corpses when expansions come out. They even removed shroud NPC's so no one could bank shroud XP. They don't want people doing that. so if we do it another way, wouldn't that be against rules anyway? Anyone feel like testing this? I don't wanna get my main account banned forever. lol

not sure i mean they making 30 to 45 dollers in the deal so who knows and simple fact is you had to earn exp on a alt so it isnt like its free exp

This is an exploit and can get you suspended/banned. The idiot that did this four hours after the new expansion came out was suspended about 15 minutes after doing it because he was reported by players. He was not in /role or /anon so everyone in City of Bronze could see and report him.

Just used a potion of amnesia for name change and the pop-up box says "Name change will destroy any corpses you have, reset UI to default and possibly remove you from guild"

So...Im guessing they fixed this if namechange will remove your corpses

Arrrgh! spent 2 hours making corpses, but gave up and used expedient recovery when I saw that LOL

Try #2 ....

delevel from 86 to 62 and then use the method described. Went from 64% into 96 and to 53% into 99. So pretty much 3 levels on the corpses generatred from 86 to 62 (387 corpses )

Just a thought as I am at work but would this work for say... Delevelling a toon from say, 70/80 and then deleting/ changing name on toon. Start another toon with same name as deleted then Rez?

That doesn't work. When you delete the toon all of the corpses will disappear. The toon you kill/delevel has to stay alive with the name change or it doesn't work.

as long as you are discreet im sure there isnt going to be a problem unlike doing it the first day a expac goes life and taunting the others in the zone who are griding like mad with your insta levels.

It figures, I bought two potions to level my monk and now they're on sale. I already used them a few days ago. I might buy a few for the next level increase though. If I petitioned for a refund since it's close to the sale think they would look into why I bought two potions?

Did you try this after the recent patches? I'm wondering because I did my two before the most recent patch and then emergency patch that followed. I used my own account and a separate account and didn't have any problems taking names immediately after changing them, even when taking the name from the alt account and using it on my main account. I just find it odd that suddenly there would be an issue with name changing. They do silently nerf things all the time though, damn sony.

I did the following after the patches.:

1. Made 77 corpses
2. Changed name on toon with corpses
3. Tried to take old name with new toon

It did not work, waited and tried every 10min until corpses expired.

I got two of my guys up via this handy bug. RC'd mroutlaw. I know they made leveling easier in this expansion and just doing the merc/partisan tasks gets you boatloads of xp, This was just amazingly faster and I enjoyed it. Thanks a million for letting us in on it before the nerf.
