the sweeper focus effect

I am a level 72 mage, using the sweeper to increase the pet power of my essence of air pet. But I don't see any change in the pet with or without the focus. Has this item been nerfed? any input welcome. thanks

Look at the item details and see if it's within your level range. It only works within a certain level range.

Slot 2: Limit Max Level (xx) xx=level
Slot 3: Limit Min Level (xx)

The best thing to do is go to PoK to the Level 51+ merchant near the Crescent Reach portal, and buy the Elegant Summoners Earring. Cost about 6.5k Pet range is 66 to 85.
