To me this mission was a bitch!
I've won it but really would like to get it done on a few more characters but I'm dreading it lol so I'm looking to hear how others won it and suggestions to my strat.
My group is sk,clr,healer merc,bst,wiz,ber....normally I run an ench in place of the healer merc but I needed the extra healer ( or not ). I plan to swap the wiz for the ench to get her the achievement.
To win my strat was this:
Bst set as group MT with pet tanking minis in one corner focusing on healing pet and light nuking, everyone else at the other end of the room and spread out ( casters leashed to a camp spot ), everyone is setup running kiss with any burn abilities/holies turned off except when called for and the clr who's running autocleric with cures off and the sk which is manually controlled. DPS the boss SLOWLY and have the SK pickup and kill each add as it spawns then back to the boss, rise repeat and like 30 minutes later win! Sound about right?
The problems though...holy jesus
So it started out with constant dying on the first mini cause my group would blow it up and have like 3 or 4 of the beguilers up tank gets mezz'd, clr cures and gets silenced next beguiler mezzes tank adds run around and wipe everyone while I stand there and watch...ok next time I'll dps it slower and only burn when the beguilers start popping, everything goes as planned, beguiler pops I hit burn and its gone in a second and back my crew jumps on the mini and BOOM its at %1 and locks till like 4 or 5 mobs pop with 2-3 being beguilers and the same wipeout happens. Lesson learned, no more burning on the first mini...later on I learned no burning on any of this fight because as soon as I hit burn and killed an add my bots were back on the mini and would smoke it down to 1% were it would lock while it spawned health based adds + any time based adds.
During the winning fight issues:
After about the 2nd mini the bst pet bit the dust...I didnt have one suspended so the Sk tanked everything, next time I will have one suspended, I'm pretty sure this helped really drag the fight out cause while killing adds theres was 0 dps on the mini.
After the 2nd mini the merc was oom, my autocler bot was damn near full...this was about 10 minutes in so autocleric basically solo healed the next 20minutes with the merc probably only throwing the occasional heal....did I really need the merc? maybe it cured me of a mez on the beguilers and ate the silence?
Again after the 2nd mini my wiz and bst were oom basically the whole fight, exception being paragon, harvest moments then they were oom again quickly and being that they were being run by a macro...as soon as they had enough to cast any spell on their list they would and be oom again!
My last oops I can think of is I didnt turn on my bst melee...after the pet died he stood in the cornor and nuked when he had mana....next time he'll be getting told /meleeon
Burn was called after the last add on bale and boy was it pathetic lol!
In the end everyone was oom and I had used every disc / ability I had (some twice or more) and I had basically just ground the event into dust by autoattacking for long enough.
So how did you win?
What could I do better?
Is this just how this mission is? not a whole lot of info I could find on this event.
Is there was way to throttle dps up and down to burn only the adds and not the mini? or how can I keep the bots from jumping back on the mini?
Any input is appreciated and while I won I wiped a lot and still almost feel like I got lucky.
