Me, My wife and I are driving 5 hours tomorrow (Saturday) to my oldest sisters. My mom and 2 sisters live within 20 minutes of each other. While there, I'm gonna replace the decking and rails on my sisters Front Deck 10x26. Wednesday evening we are going to a local steak house for grub. Thursday, the middle sister is hosting us for food and festivities. If I'm not finished up, I'll finish up on Friday and we'll come back on Saturday. If done, then on Friday, we'll drive up after breakfast.

All in all. I enjoy doing the blue collar work, not the white collar work I do on a regular basis. So as long as I don't put a phillips driver bit through my thumbnail like I've done in the past, I'll be golden. Pro tip (not a pro, but I play one at the big box stores), use start T25 deck screws and an impact driver. Goes a long way in saving your nail beds and nearby body parts.

Enjoy the Week. See you next.

So I walked into my office yesterday, sat down, looked down to the left of my desk and found a mostly empty box of 38 special bullets on my filing cabinet. Made me stop and wonder what the missus has planned for this years Turkey?!? Wish me luck folks!

I hope everyone has a wonderful ThanksGiving, in whatever way/form you decide to celebrate it. Or if you don't celebrate ThanksGiving *Looking at you "from Sweden"*, have a glorious Thursday day and know your 'Merica pond neighbors are killing things, cooking them, then eating them.

MD has got some unusual permit requirements, but i've heard the process is pretty straightforward.

what part of MD are you heading to? I'm over on the Eastern Shore, the sunsets are breathtaking this time of the year.

My mum is back in AZ, won't be able to see her this holiday season - but still TallWife's family always does something on thanksgiving DAY, and then ShortWife's family was supposed to do something this past saturday, but great-grandma was in ICU, so lots going on for us here! It is a blessing all the families to visit - but man does it do a number on my waistline!

We didn't end up going to the Calvert Cliffs. Tried some new restaurants, hotel had an indoor pool so my daughter went swimming as much as she could, went to see the Nutcracker at the Kennedy center, and watched the new Zootopia movie. I was also pressed into service to move heavy things and hang pictures while I was there.

On the permit, it was pretty simple. Sat through class, no written test, shot the next day (super easy). Got fingerprints done at the class. Submitted everything online. Had a letter from state police, saying I had passed the MD background check, by the time I had gotten home. So now just have to wait for the permit to show up.

We ended up with a turkey and a ham, 5 different casseroles, mashed potatoes and gravy, rolls, and a pie.

Hope your family is doing okay, and that y'all had good visits and food.

We're doing Friendsgiving this weekend so we get to do it ALL over again! The big decision for this one is...cheesecake or pumpkin pie?

porque no los dos

(correct answer is "always cheesecake" - so you can have cheesecake AND other stuff)
