I wouldn't do it for long as it's a somewhat trafficked area but with the TLP activity levels and the move to TBM, this has opened up.

Centered in the black circle (southeast of the main temple area) in the shissar area is a camp where with a pull range of about 175 you will pull ~10 mobs per cycle.

I've gotten 2 TDS rares and multiple <= 103 briny essences as well as diamonds and other vendor trash.

I currently run a War/Brd/Nec/Mage and 2 healer mercs here with Castaway visibles and a random sampling of non visibles.

Breaking the camp will either require CC or a fd puller to pull the mobs to between the stone pillars north of the black circle to separate the spawns.

I haven't personally tested the yellow circle area but it should be similar and perhaps slightly smaller camp size.

No names spawn within the circles so they make for good AA grind spots and people are less likely to get too crabby about monopolizing content.

If you move to the south edge of the circle and stretch your pull radius to about 210 or so you'll pick up an additional 3 ish mobs and (for me at least) it becomes non stop kills with nearly no downtime and nearly always full mana but you're kinda stretching towards the area where another group may be camping.
 
if thats the area i think there is one named pops in the yellow circle at eastern end, Vizat the Defiled. you can also get Yulin the Flameweaver to spawn just south of the yellow area.

ive never afked there but did camp with in the yellow area or just south of it to farm the two named.
 
How well geared is your tank? Rough AC/HP unbuffed?

mine? not sure what his hp/ac was then, but was around lvl 100-101 as was the rest of the group. would have been at best in latent etheric gear and Rof t1 invisibles as was rest of grp except zerker who is raid geared.
didnt have any CC, used snare,hates attraction and fd before it was nerfed. grp make up was SK, Shaman, Zerker, Bard, beast and j5 cleric merc.
 
judging by the numbers for cleric merc surety, I'm running a warrior with ~86k hps and 8k AC unbuffed.
 
I pulled 5 tunics and 2 arms today in that yellow area with the rare spawn bonus running. Id suggest setting the pull distance to 300, otherwise I had the occasional 6 -8 pull when a mob took the creative pathing route.
