I have been farming Remnants in the Task "Under the Robe". While there I noticed in the very south of the zone there is always a named up called "render". He is not listed as the named mob for this HA. He is supposed to spawn in a different task, however, of the last 11 runs ive done since I noticed him, he is always up upon zoning in. He can be reached using IVU and traveling through the tunnels. Its a short run, not a terrible named except for the mana drain. Can kill, drop task, and get a new task and kill again. Drops rings, and sporadic armor pieces/spell essence. Good luck to you all!

I was doing that mission regularly, never noticed Render, thanks. The named is easy enough to kill if not for the fact my healers are OOM when he mana drains and so I have no heals for my tank and Render is still @40%. Killed him the first time with my manaburn wizard and rogue doing frenzied stabbing. Tried him right after using my mage in place of the wizard thinking the pet and rogue could keep doing DPS with my warrior even without mana....but no heals so that didn't really work lol.

Tried hiding my cleric behind walls, but he still got mana drained.

I have the same problem with the high bokon fanatic, still trying to figure out how to get past it (I only run NEC/MAG/ENC usually, trying to do it with that 3-box).

they must have fixed this, tried getting task/dropping it 5 times while checking to see if the named is up. never seen.

I had to adjust afnuke and my wiz's holies to save burns until I adjusted a variable via eqbc from my warrior. Fanatic stomped me the first time I saw him, then I came back with burns saved for him and burned him to the ground. If you have your mage/necro burns (not sure what necs have for burns these days) set to fire whenever, try changing them to be able to be saved for the fanatic. It will make a world of difference.

I think I just need to burn harder. I actually figured out how to pull everything single and save the high bokon for last (it involves FDing the nec on the pedestal and parking the MAG/ENC elsewhere). It might be that the nec is much better at sustained DPS and can't burst too well, so I might just exploit that with the longer lasting dots (stack the splurts) and hope I can stay up that long =P

Also, need a second wiz merc on burn, one cleric merc is enough for this guy since they both run out of mana from the dot anyway. Might be a good strat for Render as well. I'll try them out.

Still spawns a lot. I was thinking the same because the first few times I tried, Render was in each of them. Went to workout and when I started playing again, very first two request were just placeholders, but the third one had Render as well as the 4th.

I think he only mana drains 4 players, it does not say that on spell info, but I noticed when my cleric was slow to heal, he didn't lose mana on the first AE. On the second AE he lost mana, but by that time the fight was pretty much over. Next once, I left invis up on my cleric so he wouldn't get on agro list first and once again he didn't get mana drained on the first AE. Now the fight is pretty easy.

Also, the spell info says the AE is 600 range.

I think the only reason to do Render over and over without completing the mission is to get the rings. As far as armor drop goes, that's so common you will have a crap ton of rot before you have enough remnants to aug them all. Under The Robe mission, besides having Render, also spawns a chest as well as another named and if you complete it you get 500 remnants.

It's a hatelist AE, so anyone on his hatelist in 600' is going to get hit with it. If it's a timed AE, you could try to time your cleric/whoever's fade to drop you off his hatelist to avoid the AE as well, but that could just cause more issues with the fight as well.
