Tip - TBL- Group Mission Fire Fight

ya, wiped like 5 times, bard cant mez fast enough.
The key to using a bard for the first 8 is not mez…. its going around to the left of them targeting the first mob and hitting silent displacement and then running off to side and fading them.

After that if you quickly go to the remaining mobs, you should find three. Second time, use silent displacement and go back to group. Use the same trick on the second wave...

Isn't the loot notrade though? I have notrade set to ignore so I can loot manually

I don't set it up that way. I have it hand out everything. When I'm playing I make sure to do a /autoloot turn off on my MT (also my master looter).

Damn, well, at least its the same mission! I've never had two loots drop in one mission before.
3rd or 4th 4th/5th timethat 2 dropped. Guildmate had 3 drop in one mission.
Usually have it set to turn off when I do this mission was on a warrior that I started playing again so forgot about his settings.

nodrop is a curse ! I play on FV so rarely see nodrop items :woop:

Edit: just had shoulders and boot drop in same mission, ranger correctly looted it this time.

What kind of messages are you guys seeing for the evolving item loot drops? Do they drop off any and all trash in the mission?

I'm having trouble with this one.. WAR, SHM, MNK. WAR has 15500aa and 6200ac
-I have NO problem with the first 12 mobs.
-The 4 lieutenants are giving me fits though

Does anyone have any specific strategies I should try out?

Right now I'll get invisd and in position then shoot one with my tank. I'll then be on my SHM trying to time the ae root perfectly to catch them all. I'll also have mqp on for my chars because I want to keep everyone rooted on the SHM and not go break root with the WAR or MNK,

The problems I run into are:
1- missing a mob with root
2- whenever the mobs unstun themselves it's hard to get snap aggro back with the before they take out a merc or shm while I'm trying to focus on the other 3 with the SHM

Maybe there is an emote I can look for to know when to pay attention to my WAR again? I'm just worried about root breaking, because it seems to happen somewhat often (SHM has max aa for roots)

Let me know what you guys think

the 4 pieces only drop from the 4 dudes - drop rate is mixed --- you can get 3 or 4 pieces in one run, or nothing with 50 runs lol it kinda sucks.

I haven't done this mission with mercs, but TBL nameds are very rough. you will start to feel better over 6.5k-7k AC

Save glyph for the last 4 dudes if you have a problem with them - if you are far enough back you can even set up without them becoming active to buy yourself time to get cooldowns refreshed and whatnot. This mission isn't bad once you figure it out, just give it some time, if you can make sure you have shield sunder and flash ready to go - so you can get situated, make sure you're using culminating stand, and if you got your timers back up, roll in there with concordant expanse on for aoe aggros

Trying to revive and come back in an already active mission sucks and i wouldn't recommend it --- having said that --- and this is important --- upon killing 1 of the 4 dudes you get a LOOT LOCKOUT that is independent from the zone lockout - this is due to people farming the 4 dudes without finishing the mission to farm the loot. ---because of this loot lockout it is possible to get a new mission and zone in while still under loot lockout (which means you will not get any loot, supposedly the check is done on the zoning in, and not upon the death of the 4 dudes).

With the monk just single pull. on death of last mob in 2nd wave

1. invis
2. mqp everyone
3. stand monk a little bit on front of the 4 (far enough so when monk uninvis they clump up)
4. stand shaman 2 feet behind monk facing mobs
5. hit monk disc (this should break invis and they aggro) think it is shaded step (one that basically makes you dodge everything) it is 3 ticks so 18 seconds (just don't panic you have enough time to tab over and hit 2 AA's on shaman)
6. wait till they are clumped up
7. hit shaman aoe malo AA
8. hit shaman spiritual rebuke root AA
9. turn everyone back on
10 use monks moving mountains to get one mob at a time out of the pile, kill it, wait though stuns repeat for others
11.. check the time remaining on root you may have to use shammy to punt/root them again

Once you get the timing on the stuns down I started killing one till stunned then pulled another and just switched between the 2.
This is slow but it does work. Used to do this mission with a monk and dps before I got my team up to speed. Manually tabbing between 2 toons

When you are busy killing the one mob add it manually to extended target so that kiss? doesn't think it is dead and turns off attack

Oh wow thanks for all the advice guys!

-I might have to use a glyph actually, not a bad idea
-Concordant expanse... I had that turned off from the DH mission, so I'll use that again. Great idea
-Moving mountains-great idea! Also, bunching then maloing will do wonders too. I think I just need to settle down a little and not panic.

How do I manually add a mob to xtarget?

How do I manually add a mob to xtarget?

I have two keys
add (while targeting mob) adds it in first open xtar slot:
/xtar add

remove, removes last added:
/xtar remove

or:
with mob targeted rightclick xtar slot and select "current target"

or
/xtar set 1 ${Target}

If you know the mobs name you can also pre-set them, like this what I do in the ash trial to get the right swirley.
/xt set 10 a_swirl_of_disturbed_crust05

sets your 10th extended to the 05 swirl. so depending what your trying to assign in FF you could use the same concept.
