Problem - TBL Boxing trial of smoke

many of the tbl zones are really poop area for nav type stuff - the areas you're talking about in the smoke trials is like that - the meshes would need huge amounts of really specific edits to make a zone like that not feel like a pile of poop :(

sorry you're having a rough go - just know it does get easier

Well I have no idea who these are so easy for everyone else. I give up. I am trying to move everyone around on lava island. Toons get stuck (yes they are shrunk), stuck in lava. They are all following my tank. Some pop and reappear on the other side of the zone. "Come to me" works, but then they get stuck at the gate and CAN NOT OPEN IT. Clicking like crazy on the gate because all the other trials are locked so the gate does not open. Total mess and $#1Tshow. and CoH does not work because that would solve anything.

I guess I suck at this. Sure I can pull and tank and spank trash in GD, but that doesn't let me complete any missions. Even Griklor, sure Sic makes it look easy on youtube, but my toons are running all over the place just a bunch of rejects. "come to me" "come to me" come to me" getting stuck everywhere.

I only started boxing because I could not find a group. DP doesnt want people to box so they make these POS missions and zones that screw with boxing. Boxes add more money to thier pockets than single toon players.

This game was frustrating enough as a single player, now trying with six its worse. I would love to try to beat all these trails of smoke to open up some of this xpac, but I just keep dying too much. Having to summon corpses, res, resummon, rebuff and head back out takes way too much time.

So now IDK what to do. What is fun? What can you do with redguides in the game that is fun? Certianly not trails of smoke. A flying carpet at the end would be great. But not going to happen.

So what zone is wide open, no terrain, outside, no hills and perfectly flat.... other than beasts domain?

I just checked, and my mesh is the default from the mesh downloader/resource here which worked ok for me (almost a year ago that i was there last)

One thing to check to help reduce being stuck/running off of the island, can be bard speed and background performance > ie either using mq2eqwire and/or setting background FPS high enough.

When I run some of my afk macros, I found when I had added a bard my chars did more crazy stuff/stuck type behaviours/running off of islands in TBL. So I turned it off for them times.

For what it's worth, I didn't do that trial or the cyclone trial until after ToV. Part lazy and part because they were actually more difficult then some of the other stuff in TBL.

Make sure your background fps is set to at least 30, preferably 60. This might help with them running about like loons.

Cause, none of that should be happening

First I suggest doing as much tov as you can before finishing tbl. Grillot is easy. Before starting trial move group in and just left of the opening to arena. Setup camp there. Take one toon and get ready to start event. There is tree on the ground to the left and inside opening. The instant Gril is over that tree start the event. Gril will drop right next to you on the second lap. He will keep dropping there if you can't kill him on first drop. Keep in mind that you'll get a bunch of adds if you burn him down, I think 6 or 8. All missions in tbl and tov have tricks to make them easier. I have zero raid gear and finished both xpacs by myself.

problems are more than that due to getting stuck in lava and toons winding up across the zone, not being able to come back because all the gates are locked.
First off, make sure you are updating your Mesh's pretty much every day or two.
Grik is super easy, couple key points. 1 setup your group at the small hill just north of the log(to the right inside the gate) but before you get to the second log next to the wall. watch grik pass over, the yellow SMALL circle should pass right over the top of your group. When he is ALMOST to the gate you come in trough wall at, trigger event. Now every time he picks a target he will automatically get the trigger as he passes over. set everyone to assist at 100 or 99 and to switch targets with MA, BURN him. IF he makes it to go up again start burning the adds. make sure to mezz any you arent fighting. SOON as he drops again, get off the adds and mezz them and back on him. rince and repeat till he dead.

As for TBL trials, they are a major PITA. key to them is to beat 1 (wending ways is easiest, run each toon individually to the correct named) once done there go through to next zone. you can do mercs in all zones after that, just dont gate out and drop a campfire everyday when you log in(camp out IN the zone)

Seeking Sorcerer is another one that is a super simple fight, specially with mezzer. There is a hotkey posted here on forums that makes it even easier. but already was easy. pull the first guy back to pool where you zone in. kill him(save burns) mezz the add that comes but look for the pile of straw and pick it up. save it for next named. Soon as first dies look for second he will come runing. LOCK him down click that pile of straw and drop the target ring well away from group. BURN the named. Keep looking for straw(he will say something like spiting at someone in group, thats where it will appear). redrop it when it comes and keep burning.

Restless assault. Harder and time sink. use eqresourse and make a /target button for each name. use it and use map to find them. On huntmaster save 1 of the wolves he spawns, drag it back to river where you zone in at. kill it pull final named onto river. EASY dps him. when he splits take 1 at a time and dps SLOWLY, WATCHING for the blue circle to appear change target as soon as it appears at the feet of the mob. the one you can dps past 70 without a blue circle appearing is the one to kill, main named respawns, dps him till he splits. rince and repeat. task done

Aventer,

Breathe. These missions are hard for an individual, let alone orchestrating a box crew to do it. Hard for 1 , harder for 6. To borrow an analogy, Ginger Rogers did everything Fred Astaire did, just backwards and in heels. You are learning the event mechanics AND the boxing mechanics. Box strat is normally different from 6 hand played character strat. All of these missions are ’Lite’ versions of the Raid. For raiders, complicated mechanics = content = fun. They don’t want tank and spank. So, this is what we get - hard stuff.

For Ashes Trial. If moving and nav is the problem, solve that. Set your whole team in 1 spot and DON’T move anybody (No one gets stuck in lava or blown off). Pet pull named. When crust_05 comes past your camp spot attack him.

For Griklor, it is about movement control. stick, clear target, and come hither are the keys to success. Use MQ2Events, cut and paste. Offload and automate what you can.

For GD and AOW, it’s about DPS control, turning DPS off and on (while leaving healing on), and changing target.

Dynamic boxing is harder than static camp exp grind boxing. The satisfaction in overcoming the challenge is where the fun is. Or so I am told.

I was going to out a long winded response and try to give helpful advice. But honestly, I think you're just venting, and/or trolling, so I'm not taking the bait.

If only there was a Mac that would do the three at once achievement lol

three at once isnt too bad now, but since the nerf its harder. I do it with a 110 sk 115 warrior and a another 115 warrior with a cleric and shammy and rogue to do the dps. The main trick is they still have to die in the right order or the event resets so i have 1 115 warrior and the cleric engage the first mob so we dont get booted, then once stable i take the shammy and other 115 warrior and aggro a second mob, and once they are stable move in the sk and shammy to engage last mob, I then figure out the kill order and the rogue and shammy get each one to 10% health each and then burn first mob that needs to die then second and then last, the last 2 mobs only need to be killed within 1 min of the first mob dying. you can sub and class really at 115 to do the off tanking, done it with 115 bard and a 115 monk as off tank, just know that the earth mob will randomly stun people so keep a group hot going and spot when needed

I just finished all the Trials. Box mechanics on the Eternal Cyclone were tough to figure out but I got it after scouring RedGuides for tips. I can't imagine the challenge of the Trials without being over geared (I'm in TOV). Well done to everyone who did it a few years back.

Trials are a pain even with T3 CoV and maxed 115s.

For eternal cyclone, I parked wizard at the top and left 5 below. Alt tabbed back and blasted him down. Slow but it worked.. I need to do the others.. I want that flying carpet 😍

Ranger on /autofire or mage pet + mage nuking or bard twisting 4-5 dots on the boss is plenty. I'd tab over to the toons on the boss when adds weren't up to nuke/burn mo' harder to shorten the fight. Unfortunately, it's uber trivial.... just long.

No dice, not enough DPS. They combine and then I poof...ill keep trying. When the pet tanks the mge can't run macros hey? I have to run the mage manually. Sorry for my ignorance. I am still learning.
Not sure if someone answered, I didn't read all the posts. ranged or nuker/dotters at the top.. should take 2 of the group the other 4 stay down and fight cyclones.

2 rangers preferred as they don't run out of arrows over the mana dependent casters.

I have done this with 4 down stairs, 1 ENC and merc WIZ upstairs, I even did it with 1 DRU and merc WIZ.

Just did this and another with 3, yay ranger but Jesus it's long, got worried at the very end bc he went inactive at 0% and knocked 2 toons out but not the 3rd so was afraid it would be bugged, but it all worked out when I found chest.

Did the one with the arena pedestals too and despite knowing the order for ach, I forgot to start on the right color clickie lol. When the boss leashed and healed at 50% the first time I was worried he'd keep doing that but figured I'd reset and fix the order, but the next time was 8% and then I got him dead(didn't coordinate DPS to kill faster since it's old ) so I never did fix the kill order. If this happens because of mercs or whatever, don't worry, it is beatable.

Just glad the leashing is random enough to kill him without burn since that's when he's gonna leash , Murphy's law and all that. (No MQ, just kept toons on follow and clicked fast, they stayed on follow np)
