Question - Tank not picking up adds

Just curious, I have KA working fairly well, but I cant seem to get my SK to pick up any adds. Bst pulls a mob, occasionally gets 2, and the SK will pick off the first one, no problem, but never go after the 2nd mob.
The aggro could be cured by using AE taunts such as deceitful deflection or repugnant bargain, but I cant seem to get my SK to use those spells. Still cant get SK to attack the 2nd mob, so the other characters wont assist.
Any thoughts?

That is by design. That is why Crowd control is so important in your group. Need an Enchanter or Bard to take care of the adds.

Is your SK targeting himself of best (puller) when starting KA? You need to have your MA(TANK usually) targeting themselves when you start KA. If they target the puller they will be waiting for the puller to target something and the puller is waiting for the MA to target something and neither will because the other won't.
 
In your sk ini go to this section add your aoe aggro and the number of mobs u want it to be cast at, my sk burns through mana so i just use the AA aoe

Without the ini it's difficult to answer your question, there is just too much info missing.
What role is the sk in? Tank or assist? Something else?
The bst, what's his role? Puller? Is he also main assist?
Who is main assist?
I can tell you one thing and it's something I feel strongly about, if a char is set to tank, that's his ONLY job, just assist the main assist. If a char is set to puller, he should JUST pull. If it's set to assist then it should ONLY assist.

Never at any point should a char for ANY reason check for adds in camp (exception: main assist is dead) That is the job of the main assist.

So unless your sk is main assist... He shouldn't be checking camp for adds, and he should absolutely not engage any other mob than whatever the main assist has as target...

I guess there might be some conflict arising if you have one char as a pure Puller and it's not the main assist as well, I never tried that my sk is the puller as well as the main assist... But ideally, the puller should only bring mobs to camp and then the main assist should grab them and the rest of the group should assist him.
 
I think I figured out my problem. I was using my Bst as my puller, because I had a few lines messed up in my SK's INI. I started fresh, and he seems to be acting correctly now. Also, using him as puller/tank. Bst and Bard are assisting at 95%. If it does it again, I'll post my INI to see what the problem is.

I'll give this a try. I thought for some reason you had to have someone else targeted? Maybe I'm making that up, lol.
I'm still getting used to KA. So far, I love it. Very simple to use. Bard and Bst are happy as can be, just my sk that is being picky.
 
SK seems to be back to his old trick, ignoring a second mob if they are added or if they came with the original pull.
He was doing great until today.
Any thoughts?

I did just notice that if my group is parked on an incline, the SK seems to act up, not picking up 2nd mob. Flat ground, seems ok though. Is there anything to that possibly?

you may need to bump your AERadius=50 out a bit, the incline could be pushing the mobs outside of the 50 units. The check for distance is a 3D check not 2D so the incline matters.
 
For them not picking up other mobs in camp, why would it be AERadius, not maybe a larger camp radius ( CampRadius=40 vs CampRadius=25)?

Well he might need to expand his CampRadius a bit as well, but even if he does and the mob is outside of his AE radius, and he is depending on the SK's AE to grab agro? He will never cast his AE spells. The AE radius and AE routine is not tied to the CampRadius in any way. What all this is dependent on is how and when he is trying to pickup the adds. From what I can tell he want to grab the agro on incoming when he has more than 1 mob. If 1 of the mobs peals off to pound on a healer or debuffer before the add gets with in AERadius, the SK will never cast his AE's.
