Bug - T2 EOK Farming

If you're looking to farm some gear for your toons, you can grab the mission, The Summoning of Droga and run through it.

When the chest pops, do not open it until you have dropped the mission.

Drop the mission, open the chest, distribute the loot. After you are kicked out, you can get the mission again and repeat. (Task locks when the chest is opened)

Tip: If you're using advanced loot, set your alts to "auto loot all". Then when the master looter sends loot to the alt, he will loot it without having to tab over to do it manually.

Most pieces of gear drop from the chest as well as the Deep Mine Bulwark aug.

Thanks for this. I'm not 105 yet so I'm still pretty ignorant but EOK but what gear would you say you need to run this? Full T1 EOK?

Depends on your group and your current gear. It's about the same as other T2 named which my was able to handle in T2 TBM gear with a little extra effort.

This also works for the Lceanium mission Before the Siege. You can get Emblem of the Combine. I also believe this mission is T1

This is a T1 instance therefore you'll only get T1 gear. Also, EQResource says the task locks in the middle, not at the chest. I haven't tried it though.

Lceanium mission locks when you engage first named - so that is false information you can not farm lceanium -

They must have changed it, this did work about 2 weeks ago. can you do a /taskt once the mission locks and see if you have a timer? I thought you get the tasktimer based on different parts of the quest. I don't think its associated with when a task locks; however, I can definitely be wrong about that.

But does it give you a task timer/replay timer at that point? It shouldn't, since if you fail you should be able to go back and try again, right? The key is at what point it gives the task timer.

ive been doing this for a while. you get the timer once you OPEN the chest. Same thing goes for Kora Lab mission and Lcea. this trick does not work for Chardok Hero mission.
I've farmed all the augs and gear for a while now, this trick does work if you do it right. drop the task before you open chest. you will not get /ach, but im after loot and ill do /ach and get timer when im done for the day.

I can confirm that it does NOT work for the Chardok mission; Atrebe's Vault.

Another tip for the Droga Mission. You kill the 5 Priests at the bottom. If you have a bard in group you group song da and run past all the rooted mobs. Kill High Priest then drop down and kill droga. After Droga dies all those rooted adds depop. So literally if you have a bard you kill 7 mobs drop mission repeat.

correct or if you have a cleric and mage. don't kill the priest. DA mage... mage runs to HP. Call of heros group. Kill HP then drop down for droga.

You dont even need anyone else up at HP besides the tank, I run my SK up (don't touch a mob on the way up with riposte or anything like that or u will get summoned) and sham heals from the bottom, dps ... well they can dps right under the HP.

Just a little tip!

tried this, went to remove group from task and got "the shared task is not allowing players to be removed at this time"

was like 'wahhhh, they fixed it!' but then figured it out, brain fart.
Just have to quit the task on each individual toon and you're good to go, cant be lazy and just remove everyone from task leader box.

And to add to some of the tips on the mission. The bard one is best!

And little curious about this rhb

well they can dps right under the HP.

I tried this and no luck at all. Always kept caster/healers down below, they can get LoS on high priest just fine, but fidgeted with melee dps down there to no avail. there a little sweet spot for them or do you just mean caster dps?

I had no problem with zerk right underneath him, like you would a belly caster. Then again I haven't done this in about 3 months so it's possible they have changed it.

Did you try dropping the task manually from each toon? The task manager doesn't work.
