Is there some trick to dealing with this a/e? I've done trial of three twice now, done wending ways 4 times, and the a/es there are rough but managable, but I'm trying to take down this named and that a/e in particular seems to be overloading us. Just keep spamming spell rune and group rune and try to heal through?

This is from the dudes in empyr and mearatas right?

Group hps are important, if your dudes are in conflagrant they're gonna die.

Just need to heal through it - I don't think this is one of the detrimentals that has a trick like running away or anything

Yeah mostly conflag, I have 1 T1 piece and 1 T3 ts piece, rest conflag and non vis from Gmm.

So in other words, we have to be in the gear they drop to be able to farm the gear they drop. That makes sense.

And yes, emphyr.

TBL was very poorly done imo - the barrier to entry if you don't have a tank in raid gear is super poopy. this is why my cleric ini is so aggressive. it sucks

Yeah I use your cleric ini. I agree completely. Going to finish up what I need for brass palace so I can put that on farm along with three and wending.

Put the cyclone smoke trial on the farm list, too. It takes a while, but it’s super easy.

that's actually one of the few missions I haven't tried yet - hopefully should be doing TBL missions soonish with my new crew

It's not hard, as long as you've got some ranged dps. I could see the zerk/zerk/zerk crews having a few issues, though.

I roll with a ranger, so I stick the ranger on /autofire and my chanter up there to nuke. Between the two of them they whittle down the boss from range while my SK, Zerk, Wiz, Cleric stay at the bottom and kill adds. The boss locks hps whenever adds are up, so it behooves you to kill them quickly and get back to dps'ing the boss.

Pro-tip: Put all your toons on mounts to negate the really fuckin annoying push/pull cyclone effect. Once you do that, it's trivial.

I tried it a few times and haven't been back yet, Where is the best set up for the below team?

I guess I'd have to alter the ini to start nuking at 100% and put another char on KA assist?

Ok New question, Had 2 people die when killing the ambass, didn't get kill credit, rest of group did. Can we just respawn him or do we need to completely redo the quest?

What’s your group?

War, monk, sham, enc, clr, zerk. Have a wiz too. Figured wiz for cyclone.

War, Cleric, Zerk, Monk for adds, Wiz and Sham for cyclone. Or Sham and Enc and just accept that it'll be slow.

We still do wending slow because I wait on discs between bosses. Plus the inevitable death that requires a lobby summons because the teleporter dropped someone for 200k and an unretrievable corpse.

#ShadowKnight #SummonRemains ;-)

As if we all needed ANOTHER reason to go SK over Warrior...

<step 1: lob sk/war grenade in thread>

Trial of three is the one that's been giving me fits lately, even though it's the easiest one (imo). I ran it flawlessly the first couple of times, but since then afollow will fuck up or something crazy will happen and all of a sudden a toon is dead to the blind mud thingies and another one falls over the edge and pops back at the zone in.... and then can't get to the group because of those mud fuckers..... it's a real pain in the ass. When it goes smoothly it goes VERY smoothly, but when it goes badly it's fucking annoying as shit. Wending Ways takes a little bit, but the macros here that do the movement for you make it pretty trivial.

for me some of the biggest problems with trialofthree was getting aggro/engaging too early and a toon being outside the room.

now i pause everyone, invis to the mob, set camphere, unpause/uninvis then kill - once dead I immediately pause, camp off, invis and move to next mob

I haven't had any of the rando blindness deaths since then

ahhhhhhhhh........... it would make sense if an early engagement caused the blindness mobs to spawn and fuck up my world. That is definitely happening to me. I haven't been paying attention to my lagging toons to see if everyone makes it into the room properly before tagging because I'm afraid of the trial ending because I took too long to engage. That's happened to me once or twice.

use your find "Johnny in group" button on the blinded toons if that happens. Works like a charm!

You also have to watch mounts. In particular the carpet, it screws up a lot going into the rooms.

My toons that mess up are generally the ones on mounts, so that makes sense.

Before I request that event I put all toons on autofollow on the requester. (Find me works if you have all that going but I keep it simple) Figure out the riddle then gently get them where they need to be and engage before the timer boots you. Quickly I highlight the task bar window to see all of the toons windows at once to see if anyone is left behind and blinded. If so I window them up and hit find one of the players that are engaged in the room. Always works unless your lagging toon ended up in the water.

I use the trial of three macro here, which automatically has the requesting toon determine the mob order, and then invis, and then moves everyone to the right spot. Where it sometimes messes up is if I try to augment the nav command with my own command, or if I forget to /end the trial of three mac upon engaging the namer (I run my tank).

I think it would be helpful if I paused the cleric before moving, as she's usually the culprit who uninvises herself and scores early agro. That bitch. (I love her, though)

I use that as well but I kill it the moment I'm in the first room. By that point it's spammed the order in chat so we're good there. I use the default follow button for all moves

I've had them fall to their deaths or just end up under the room when moving with a carpet so I pause/mode 0/dism everyone, invis and do a quick 360 to make sure in particular the cleric isn't doing something stupid to break invis, then move. you get 1 minute or so in between kills, which provided you aren't in a panic rush, is plenty of time. Head to the next room and move the cleric away from the tank, then hit the party on hotkey that unpauses and sets mode 1. Then after engagement I'll tab to the individual casters to resummon mounts, and move them away from the mob. The cleric i just hit immediately after a heal so it's summoned while the gems are refreshing.

I don't use /camphere really at all though I plan to try to start with my chanter. She continually moves around and I've had her aggro other stuff because of it, especially in brass palace.

Has anyone gotten the achievement where all 3 mobs die within like a minute of each other? How the hell does that work here when the mobs are leashed to their locations and you have the blinding bullshit up?

Thats 20 seconds a mob, minus the time to get room to room. Correct me if I am wrong but you would have to be a group of GMs to make that happen lol!

I think this was the achieve which was exploitable/exploited at xpac launch - and I'm not sure it is do-able since they changed it. I've seen people post on official boards about it, but crickets seem to be the response

To get the 3 at once achievement you basically have to split your group up. The advantage is all 3 npcs can be pet tanked and will hold aggro over players if pets are on taunt and such. I've done it with sk cleric beastlord zerker mage and monk. Took a bit but still doable.

I find that hard to believe... the AE's and mob damage output isn't terrible for a group to handle, but split between three mobs simultaneously...... I don't think so. And there's no way to go help a struggling pair out because of the blind/dot shade things that spawn upon engaging.

I have SK, Cleric, Enchanter, Ranger, Zerker, Wiz ...

Can the cleric heal one section from another? even if they're hugging the wall as close to the center as possible?

The strat that I see talked about the most is to fight 2 mobs at once with a split group. Slowly balance them down so they die at the same time and then rush the 3rd and hit all your burns then.

That seems more doable than splitting the group up 3 ways.

Amazing the difference 3 weeks makes. Spent the past couple days camping center of mearatas. Only named that's an issue is the ine that mezzes.

yeah he can be a real pita --- if you have a pet class you can set pet to taunt when that mob is up, or when tank is mezzed --- really helps fill that gap if your cure doesn't clear the mez

Bah, setting pet to taunt .... I shoulda thought of that!!! I just Zerg it and hope for the best :) ... only died once on it, but my ranger (herro, weaponshield) tanked it the rest of the way.

Found nothing that cures it. Max RC, group purify, etc . first couple of times I spammed everything and tank stayed mezzed. Enchanter usually ends up tanking and just chains rune lol.
