Hey!

I wanted to screw around doing AoCs and such in my off-time since I don't have much to do as it currently stands on my main server. I haven't done this since Fippy, where I boxed 24 for the early expansions, and was wondering if I could get people's input on the best strategies for doing something like this.

First I was wondering if 18 would be enough, I know 24 will work but I was wondering if I could do most content feasibly with 3 groups as opposed to 4.

Second, how do people approach leveling now-a-days? Is it still good to throw them all in a raid group and go zerg a zone or do folks do groups individually?

Third, are there any good plugins or macros folks use for doing this sort of thing? Experienced in scripting and already use things like KA etc. but wanted folks input on anything else they may find useful for this sort of thing.

Fourth, do y'all think 22-28 Kr is enough to get me started as far as gear/barrier of entry? Was thinking of buying 40, already have 6 active accounts so 12 to 18 would go to putting accounts up depending on how many I chose to use.

Thanks for any input! :) It's well appreciated

The issue with raid boxing on an early TLP is the mitigation of the mighty buff. Raid bosses have been given crazy HP and DPS to tune them for a raid of 60+.

You can absolutely do previous expansion raids with 18 or 24, and easy bosses from the current expansion, but you'll need to team up with other boxers to beat end bosses in era. And you can expect really, really long fights, like 30+ minutes. Bring necros and clerics.

You'll want 2-3 Warriors to cycle defensive for awhile. A bard for every group. 5+ clerics to maintain a ch chain long enough to kill MotM bosses. A shaman, enc, and ranger for buffs. And a lot of monks. Basically.

For starter gear I bet the 22-28 krono is enough. It won't be enough to get all your monks epics (which they need), however.

This for sure. You do not need "class diversity". I would bring 1 mage for CoH, 1 rogue for corpse dragging, 1 wizard for TL's, 1 enchanter for tash/buffs, 1 shaman for malo/buffs, and 1 ranger. 1 bard in each group, 1 healer in each group (might be able to use a paladin), and stack monks. Shadowknights are worthless. The hard part is figuring out how many necros you need for feeding your clerics and how to manage it. Later on your army of monks will be very durable too.
