Question - Stable XP farming for RoS (110 AA in Droga is horrible)

Has anyone found a good spot in RoS to grind XP yet?
I'm not worried if it's out in the open or if it's Droga 2.0 I've sort of hit a roadblock and having issues getting AAs.

At 110 right now the AA XP in Droga is HORRIBLE.
I got greedy and leveled some of my toons to 110 before getting AAs, i'm sure not to make the same mistake for the rest of them but it still leaves me in need

Group:
SK,Bard,Ranger,Cleric,Zerker x2

Mages outside group:
Currently 43 but another 12 (Possibly 42) are in the works. (The mages are all level 105 and don't start attacking until 90%. Only about 1 in 300 mobs seems to go to some random Mage the rest of the XP is sucked up by the group)

I realize that having 43 mages screams "BAN HIM!".
I may or may not bring them all. I may keep them in Droga and continue to level/work AAs minaly on the other hordes of characters I have so I don't run into this problem again.

Anyone who knows a spot and is willing to share it would be much appreciate.
Anyone who has an idea at this point im more then willing to run my group + 3-5 mages and try it out.

(I scrolled around in this section and only saw posts for EoK, if I happend to miss the RoS spot I apologize for making an additonal post about it)

While I appreciate the nod to my mages HELP ME WILLIAM!!! Where do I go!?!?
The AAs were flying and I regret getting to 110. I almost am willing to kill my characters back down to 106 to get AAs again.
I guess if there was an open enough zone... with 43 (85) anything should go fast. I was just spoiled by the greatness that is Droga mage zerg.

Stop drawing attention to yourself. Bribe William for his HA macros and go do 1 group in HA's......they are good exp since they level up with you.....

Yes, the point of my post was because I want attention from strangers on the internet. Never ceases to amaze I suppose, heaven forbid someone asks a question for the sake of needing an answer. Isn't it the typical thing to do, get on the internet and find a random post in attempts to talk down to someone? One might think that you actually needed the most attention.

I have (had) Williams macros in the past. I have nothing wrong with them.... for what I'm doing I was looking for a non-HA XP. I eventually found a new spot.

Note: No one really gives a shit about how many characters someone has, where did you post even come from in the first place? You have yourself a nice Christmas, take that lump of coal and shove it up your ass.

I haven't found any good spots in RoS where you get more experience than in EoK zones. You can probably find a spot in HS where you can pull never ending mobs, but the experience just isn't great. I'm sure that's not helpful, but you're better off EOK grinding.

I allways followed the rule of staying 1 expansion back for exp, on my end just seems to be better
i would love to see 45 mages melting things away lmao

Made the same mistake as you. Leveled up instead of maxing AA's each level and now I'm getting shit exp on light blue cons.:bang:

Could try a CotF heroic and see how exp is, since the con of the mobs will be +/- 3 levels of your level.

Ok here is some solid info kill rate = xp grinding i put any xtra toons i have outside group main xp group gets all kills then just melt through .. best xp in game is in droga or kor-sha next is hs or the zone past it just kill everything ..

someone on my server also does this... or more likely you are this person... but maybe two people had the idea to 40+ mage zerg army not on TLP. Either way it's extremely enjoyable to watch every now and then :drink

I'm not sure how its efficient to have 40 mages attacking the same mob, is that what you are doing? That is not very efficient at all if so.

Your kill rate would increase if you split those 40 mages up into 5-6 groups. 40 mages on 1 mob will mean more than 20 of those mages won't even start assisting till mob is below 20% health most likely or not do any dmg at all even. Even if you had your assist % set to like 99%, the time for the macro to kick in on every bot to assist it would just be inefficient.

Isn?t that many mages abit overkill? I mean with the group I had sk, cleric, bard, shaman, zerker and rogue mobs lasted like 9-12secs? How faster would 40something mages make it compared to like 6 or 12 extra?

I've found several easy spots in Overthere (south wall, near either of the small ponds) and Skyfire (tunnels, or along the east wall) to sit that are safe from roamers and I can pull to, group does fine for 24hr+ stretches. But with that many bots, I think you'll get banned operating in any current expac content honestly, I get at least 2-3 people a day that swing through my camp and just watch me or start chatting me up.

How much money do you have to burn to afford 50 accounts??

In RoS ... 50 x $35 (or whatever the expansion price was).

That's a lot of dough.

Depending on the money you make that isn't very much honestly.

I mean yeah a lot of spend on a video game, but if that is your hobby... not really lol.

While this is an excuse I have used in the past to justify spending hundreds of dollars on accounts or items, $1750 ONLY for expansions for your 50 toons (and the OP mentions 43 + 12 with a possible additional 30 accounts on top of that AND his main group of 6) is just ridiculous. That doesn't include krono for AA'ing (if you're into that kinda thing... thanks william12), which would be another $500 at a reasonable market value of $10 per krono.

For that amount of money you can buy a REALLY good set of golf clubs... but those clubs will last you years if you take care of them. If this guy keeps this up, it'll be $2250 (at least) annually.

Of course, if you're a multi-millionaire I'll just go f myself, but if you were, then what the hell are you doing playing EQ? Go play real life.

If theyre all popping off a quick nuke, probably 1-2 seconds per mob ;P

That is still not efficient. Because the pulls get longer or you will have significant downtime waiting for mobs to spawn. If he split them into 4-6 groups at different camps, his kill rate would increase per hour. I think about 8-12 toons per camp is more than enough to get the job done, the problem becomes how quickly the macro realizes to assist even if you have it set at assist at 99% - like 30 of those mages won't even engage till the mob health is like 20% because the first 10 mages already got their first nuke off before the other 30 realized the hp% to assist at. This is effected by how powerful your computer is (vid card and cpu speed most likely the most important here), how close to Daybreak servers you are (i.e. latency) etc. I know I talked to someone who lives in Oregon and they load into the zone (im not talking about small zones like guild hall or lobby) in matter of 8-10 secs because their so close to Daybreak servers, think they said less than ~60ms latency. Probably even less if you are in San Diego.

*shrug*. More power to him if he spends that much on EQ. Who am I to judge how people spend their hard earned money. I mean there is a market for people buying iPhones worth $15.3 million

This is a hypocritical of me since I bought 6 accounts worth of RoS, but the best thing I can tell you is to avoid giving Daybreak more money than you need too, for putting out garbage expansions as of late, only advice I want to give about how you spend your money.

I am not filthy rich or anything, but I drag a 2017 modded Hellcat lol. The amount of money I have dumped into that car should be illegal. Annually $2250 wouldn't even cover my tire bill.

Oh and I HATE golf. I don't see how people play that boring ass game so much.

Totally get it, but one example is also a physical item and the other is a virtual one literally living on DBG servers (and due to what we do, constantly at risk for banning and total loss). I also don't golf, but I knew it was a relatively expensive hobby, so I threw it out as an example.

Very true. I run 6 accounts but nowhere near 50+ lmao.

I will say in my younger days EQ saved me a lot of money and trouble though haha.

Use the money you made from EQ to do some options trading to make some real money:dance:

I'm big into Scuba Diving and our boat. I broke my back a few years ago and can't golf anymore. I know it sounds stupid but I enjoy walking past the computer room and watching the minions killing stuff. Maybe i'm living out a childhood dream? You do some weird shit when you have too much time and the means. I hope you all are enjoying EQ for whatever reason you play / watch your little guys play, cheers!

Nice, if you lived in FL i'd offer to drag your Hellcat! but being serious for a moment... cool cars for what they are! They did some nifty things with the Demon to get it to run that sub 10.

Thank you actually.... most people are gigantic assholes when they find out about the situation. I try to keep it to myself in the real world (minus someone that might notice me getting out of a car) I guess on the internet I tend to be a bit of a kankle.

It is a sad state indeed, I don't get time to see the raids anymore but reusing content to the extreme they have is getting too old. The dungeons are meh, the missions are meh, class balancing (from my limited view) is still meh. I'm a bit upset I changed a character's race and I lost all my RK III spells, it's a "known bug" but he still said bugger off more or less.

I picked another zone with a greater mob count but even then I was running out of mobs w/ other players around so I scrapped that. I ended up splitting things into different groups like you said and it works better, thank you!

Bard, it's fast enough that the main groups wasn't getting the XP part of the time and or no longer then a few seconds. As someone pointed out it got to be just silly (although it was oddly satisfying at the time)

Aspire2008 , about the mistake of leveling up.... i've found it's actually faster to de-level and do AAs at 108 (if toon = very low AAs) and then re-level. I tried it out with a group and was happy although it's probably impractical unless you have XP pots / outside dps. 105-110 is just a few hours now, i'm sure people who are very skilled at EQ/MQ can do it faster though.

lol, if only it were that easy!

I did a bit of options trading a year or two ago... I stopped because it was a lot like gambling, unless you were using the options positions to offset risk incurred in other trade positions. Even then, the types of people who would be doing that shit are using a LOT more money that I would be, and therefore it makes sense for them to do it. For me... meh. It just seemed too risky lol. But you're right... if you pull it off you can make out like a freakin bandit.

Yes its extremely risky and it is gambling not investing, your right. I got royally fucked by investing in GE, but bounced back slightly by some options I put in Nvidia (bitcoin craze) and Apple.

Keep getting wrecked in HS, any tips?

Tank has 250k hp and 6k AC, we have a cleric and bard in group with t1 group gear and level 110 but any pulls greater than 3 or and the tank is going down like crazy even using discs.

Autocleric and autobard (latest versions) with modification so it uses the lvl 110 mez on bard.

I think the bone curse from the skellies is causing the issue, as the cleric is using a cure curse heal on the tank.
