Question - Split camp. 2 teams, 2 x MA

In 2nd camp, is there a way to get mage to assist ranger on different target?

Running kiss on mage to assist ranger. But he just stands there lookin dumb....

So you want to be tanking two separate mobs at the same time in the same group? With a main tank and the ranger is the off tank correct?

I think the only way to do that would be to run the ranger manually, have the mage set to assist him , while the rest of the group assists the other tank. Turn your assist at setting on your mage up to 100 or 99 and see if that helps.

I tried to do something like this in a raid format. I could never get it to work efficiently because the MA from one group would stand around if the other group was killing a mob (and vice versa), thanks to xtargets.

The ranger wont offtank, but ranging a rooted target from a distance where the mage would be assisting him for added dps,
while the Tank/ MA would be killing other targets..

Have been playing the ranger manually. The mage to assist him. And the others to assist tank for the other targets.
But the mage wont do anything at all.

Two separate groups in two separate camps shouldn't have any issues. Would be the same as running two groups in two zones, unless they are close enough to be aggro'n each others mobs during pull phase.

Mage and ranger in same group? Is the ranger rooting the mob inside camp? If mob is out side camp radius, Mage may not engage.

Is this a raid setup? As Sum1 noted, if they are in a raid like to try to share Named kills for hunter credit, then the pullers and tanks will have issues from reading xtargets from both groups aggro. This issue was brought up awhile back with no way to fix it short of modding your KA code.

Also you can try this:

All are in the same group. Make the ranger the group leader. Have him mark himself as main assist on group bar. Run him manually. Have the mage /mac kissassist the ranger.

Have the ranger mark the tank in group bar as tank. Have him KA himself and everyone else in group KA the main tank.

Btw, this is for cyclone trial..

Never played mage much. Just leveled to 110. So havent even had time to setup a proper ini for much at all except grinding.

But working on a New ini for this as we speak.. Using fire pet for ranged dps. Will post when done.

all grouped in same Group. Ranger and mage are out of radius from the rest...

TURN off MA in group window

1) on mage, start KA with ranger targetted, now the mage will assist ranger , which you will play manually.

2) on rest of the toons in group, turn on KA with the tank targetted, so they will assist the tank

3) on tank , you target yourself and start KA in tank mode

Make sure MA is turned off in EQ group window ui.

That should allow everyone except mage to assist the tank, and mage should assist the ranger.
