it says : The destruction of Arcstone and the wild magics flowing through the grove will cause AoE healing spells to seep into the ground resulting in additional aggressive adds.

Which spells or AA or procs count as "AOE healing"? We have tried one by one all regular aoe spells including group heal and made sure they will not trigger adds. But after we resumed dps, adds come again.

Shamans, clerics, and paladins have splash heals.

The paladins were the culprit during our run. Once they got it settled we were good to go.

We didn't have any pally's to worry about - just turned off splashing on shaman and clerics.

How many adds are coming? If it’s more than 1 at a time it’s shaman swell heal that went off.

I think alliance also adds to it. Just ended up turning everything off.

Think the pie thing is more of a pain. Sometime it dips into the ground and you can't tell where the opening is.

Cleric Splash. Shaman Squall. Druids have an AA, don't recall the name. Pally Splash. And all priest alliance. Regular group heals are okay. MGB Celestial Regen and the shaman/druid counterparts are fine because they're a buff and not a direct heal.

Anyone know what the enrage option for these t2 raids give? Think I did one but didn't notice anything different.

Choosing the enraged option simply means that enrage mechanics are active and if you take too long on the raid you can hit the enrage timer.
Same as it's been for years. Only now we get bonus loot simply for having the risk of running into the enrage timer.
For Low dps you can run the raid without enrage and slog through it if need be for a win but with fewer loots.

Has anyone done the raids both ways? Interesting things to know.

#1 - What is the enrage timers and are they tuned to the top 10 raiding guilds?
#2 - What is the difference in loot between the two ?

Had a quick try at this and, after a quick fail due to forgetting about Druid Boon AAs doing AE healing, it was fine until the "pie" and we were swarmed by roots. I didn't see a "flower" and was a bit confused by the yellowish aura - which I assume had a safe "pie slice" in it somewhere.

What is the flower like? Is it big or on the ground? Is it targetable or have a name? Anyone know? If so, I could nav to it.

How big is the "slice"? I'm concerned about boxes on chase and ensuring they are in it.

Any advice appreciated! I guess I'll find out on the next try anyway - but any tips would help!

Thanks :)

The reason you look for the flower is sometimes the yellow aura missing due to geometry of zone. So there can be multiple slices missing. The yellow aura isn’t enough to follow, hence running to the flower.

It’s like a large (slightly bigger than a PC) red sunflower.

The slice is like a cone. So the further back you are the larger it is. Plenty big for boxes as long as the main guy is in the middle.

Most enrage timers are between 39 and 54 minutes. I have not seen this one taken to the limit. It is not based on top 10 guilds (can finished this event in under 30 min even with a general guild).
The proposed loot was a 70% value, I do not know what the final ended up being.

Do we have a name for the flower spawn yet? I am hoping I can hotkey /nav spawn flowername and get the toons over there pretty quickly.

Just FYI, for the Candlework Abolishion raid, you can do a /nav spawn soak00 02 (there are 3 hotspots you need 5 characters in)

We hit enrage on one of the new raids on accident, and I think it is now a 20 minute enrage timer from what I was told. I did not actually time it though, but I may be able to pull it from logs.

It’s root something can’t remember full name without looking at my script. Think I just use root to check for spawn first time I did it. Can post when I do the raid again if still needed.

This is mostly working, but doesn't seem 100%.

Lua:
local mq = require('mq')

local function condition()
    return mq.TLO.SpawnCount('Xanzerok xtarhater')() > 0 and mq.TLO.SpawnCount('a grasping roots target')() > 0
end

local function action()
    mq.cmdf('/%s mode 0', mq.TLO.Me.Class.ShortName())
    mq.cmd('/target clear')
    mq.cmd('/nav spawn a grasping roots target')
    while mq.TLO.SpawnCount('a grasping roots target')() > 0 do
        mq.delay(100)
    end
    mq.cmdf('/%s mode 2', mq.TLO.Me.Class.ShortName())
    if mq.TLO.Raid.MainAssist() == mq.TLO.Me.CleanName() then
        mq.cmdf('/%s mode 3', mq.TLO.Me.Class.ShortName())
    end
end

return {onload=on_load, condfunc=condition, actionfunc=action}

vorpal is not a tanking mode.

I would say maybe target self rather then clear target, as if you get hit by any AE or mob your going to retarget and engage. ( yes I see manual but can still have unexpected results)

also I would do a check on the nav, for the same reason, so maybe something like while spawncount and distance > 50 and not active nave then re-nav to flower.
otherwise people hit by mobs or falling boulders, etc. might not actually get fully nav'd over and be standing out in the open in manual mode.

Can I just check, is the flower called "a grasping roots"? Odd name but useful to know, if so!

If it is, I'm thinking of a LEM because navigating a group manually can be prone to error.

Is there a trigger for the enrage option? I’m going through TOB raids and I’m not seeing enrage option.

I haven’t really paid attention but I don’t think it’s available in all the current SOR raid either.

T2 and T3 SoR raids only it's new this xpac.
As for how to choose enrage there are keywords when you start the raid not when you acquire it.

Normally once you figure out what the actual enrage timer is, you would do a timer in EQLP for that countdown. I haven't done it recently, but did have those running for some of the LS raids in the past

Hard to experiment with a LEM unless in the raid itself. Anyone see a problem with this? It's intended as a Condition Event.

Code:
local mq = require('mq')

-- Do not edit this if condition
if not package.loaded['events'] then
    print('This script is intended to be imported to Lua Event Manager (LEM). Try "\a-t/lua run lem\a-x"')
end

local function on_load()
    -- Perform any initial setup here when the event is loaded.
    local moved = false
end

---@return boolean @Returns true if the action should fire, otherwise false.
local function condition()
    -- Implement the condition to evaluate here.

    -- If there is no flower up, set the switch to move when one reappears
    if mq.TLO.SpawnCount('Xanzerok xtarhater')() > 0 and mq.TLO.SpawnCount('a_grasping_roots')() == 0 then
        moved = false
    end

    -- return "true" if a flower is up and we are too far away from it
    return mq.TLO.SpawnCount('Xanzerok xtarhater')() > 0 and mq.TLO.SpawnCount('a grasping roots target')() > 0 and mq.TLO.Spawn('a_grasping_roots').Distance3D() > 20 and not moved

end

local function action()
    -- Implement the action to perform here.
    local my_assist = mq.TLO.Group.MainAssist()
    local my_name = mq.TLO.Me.CleanName()

    -- If I am the MA, target myself so other toons stop attacking and follow, otherwise target my MA
    if my_name == my_assist then
    mq.cmd('/tar $s', my_name)
    else
    mq.cmd('/tar %s', my_assist)
    end

    -- Pause any automation on any toon running this LEM
    mq.cmd('/boxr pause')
    mq.delay(10)

    -- Run to the flower
    mq.cmd('/nav spawn a_grasping_roots')
    while mq.TLO.Navigation.Active() == false do
          mq.delay(10)
    end
    while mq.TLO.Navigation.Active() == true do
          mq.delay(10)
    end

Personally, I'm not a fan of using pause. Your healers stop healing, your casters stop DPS'ing.

The other potential issue I see is it doesn't look like you're waiting at the flower or checkig if the toons were chasing. As written, if a toon as chasing its going to run to the flower, then immediately re-engage before the flower has despawned potentially leaving the "safe" area.

I didn't read your previous reply carefully. When I saw that you said as it has been for few previous expansions, I thought you meant the ability to choose. Thanks for clarifying.

Yes, I want them to re-engage. My SK is usually the group MA and will often have something to off-tank (not always). He is not on any plugin (I run him manually on raids) but will also run the LEM. So - he runs to the flower too (having targeted himself). The others go back to chase mode and should re-engage as soon as he targets and attacks something. As he will be by the flower, all should be fine ... I think!

However, I want them to at least run to the flower if he is dead. They won't re-engage in that case unless they are on raid mode and assisting the raid MA - who should also have moved. It might be a good idea to have them target him anyway - in case he has died and thus hasn't targeted himself. Think I'll do that. (EDIT: I made the change and edited the code above).
