Thanks for the events actions, and just to confirm if anyone didn't already know since i'm late to the party. You just need to kill off any adds for the first phase , once he moves up top finish off any adds then you can burn him down and not worry about any adds from phase 2. Hope that helps make this easier for anyone.

that doesn't always work btw - it is supposed to, but you can bug him out where even if all of the adds from P1 are dead, you still are locked at 5% until you kill some of the P2 adds - it is pretty stupid.
i know - done the mission a lot - even with the emote i've had it bug out many times - enough times that i don't even bother trying
If you burn through phase 1 , the spectators from that phase will be ported to the avatar in phase 2. The avatar will be locked at 2% until those spectator adds are dead. You will have a lot of adds from phase 2 also.

Ok. I burn on first phase but still hit all the adds dead. Just cleaner. Lot of times these days I let avatar kill as well for achievements.
How does this work exactly? You just wait til he grabs axe and kills spectators, kneeling along?
So you kill the giant adds down to about 25% and when he enrages he’ll kill them. It’s a bit time consuming unless you want to tank 2 or 3 giant adds at once. But ou just knock the giant down to a low hp level and then wait for Avatar to kill them - it’s on a timer I think 60 seconds might be 90.
