Are you not using autologin? I still don't understand how people mistakenly patch

When you don't have the patch before it that mq is built for anyways. Shit happens. Outside of that..

Kind of scary to lock yourself out like this tbh. Too bad you probably don't have Shadow Copy running on the folder the exe is in. -> right click everquest file -> properties -> Previous Versions Tab, worth a try at least.

I guess I’ve just gotten into the habit of launching the EQ launcher first to update, then checking RedGuides for updates if they’re available. I don’t do this every day, just every so often, and patch problems don’t come up all the time either.

yep, that's why the banner is down and the ice cream cone is the correct direction

what is bizarre about this patch, however, is despite eq updating files - no contents of the files themselves changed at all - they're the same files just re-uploaded

Is possible they just transposed two characters? Like a spelling error? Redguidse vs. Redguides? A byte count or hash I think (probably?) would compute them as the same exact files?
