Well since I am a no good dirty whatever I was called that is only good for trying to steal your accounts and give you key loggers and viruses which by the way is the same exact program you all ranted and raved about only a couple of months ago, I guess ill just be gone. I do not take to flaming at all. I don't do it and I don't take it.



I was told that the program had viruses, I did a scan with AVG which in my opinion is the best on the net, and it came up clean. I was told it had hotkeyshooks in it, my program loads no dll's.

lmao noob hotkeyshooks.dll is what lets ur keys get binded as hot keys lmao almost all trainers use it . sigh why don’t you do your self a favor and do research before you make post that make you look silly.

I tried to do something nice for you all but you all and some of you realy trashed me hard. I am at this community for one reason and one reason only, Because I like the community.

I don't like some of you newer people.

I saw your program, but you didn't say what it was so I didn't think twice about it. I just went on to another post. Because of that, I won't even comment on the program.

However, I will comment on my opinion that you've been a good person to have around these boards. I've liked reading your posts and enjoyed your comments. I don't know what words were exchanged because I never saw replies to your post, but all I see now is POSSIBLE in that message. I don't see anything saying you did this or that.

In addition, I have to agree that we've been very lax lately in letting some people flame, which has never been allowed on these boards. I've sent people PM's about their flames and even posted in the thread asking to reword their post or delete it, because the fact remains that people pay to use these boards and shouldn't have to take shit from anyone but Redbot. The majority of these flames were changed, but some were left and are still up right now. I've received PM's from people telling me how much they appreciate me helping keep the flame level low because it bothers them as well. If people are going through the trouble of actually sending the message saying that, imagine the people who are just thinking it without sending the message.

I don't think we need more policing on these boards, I think it's just a few weeds who need to be plucked regardless of their help level on these boards. I have come to the point where I don't visit these boards as much as I used to simply because this is going on. It's just not something I like to see and the lack of it made this a great board to read.

We were strong without them and we'll be strong when they're gone. There's a reason people like these boards and I like to think it's because of the lack of flamage.

came up with 6 different keyloggers. and they were listed as key loggers not as the hotkeyshooks, granted that was in the mix amongst the 6 keyloggers listed.

that file was malicious, and that was no flame, it was me protecting the rest of the redguides subscribers, and I stand by what I said.

one virus scanner is never enough, and as computer literate as you have proven yourself to be, you can not for one instant expect me to beleive that you didn't know that the file had keyloggers on it.

I am not sure what you used to scan the file.. but the site posted on the thread.. shows diff info than what you posted ...

BTW i scaned the file also .. and it came up as keylogger files... But i am not smart on those things.. so i rely on a program or website to tell me its good or bad

but in the end its your decision

I've always found you to be helpful Bandrent, but he/she had a point:

that file was malicious, and that was no flame, it was me protecting the rest of the redguides subscribers, and I stand by what I said.

Thankfully I did not run the program. My Norton picked up nothing initially, but after his post I ran it through several other programs and found what appeared to be very nasty things. The mods have it closed and locked pending investigation. I'm not as computer savvy as a lot of other folks, but hopefully it was either something mostly benign or you were clueless about its contents.

To me, a relatively uneducated shmoe, it looked pretty ugly. I hope to god it either wasn't or was completely unintentional.

To close, I'd like to repeat my initial statement: I've always found you helpful and enjoyed having you around. I hope this was all a big missunderstanding.

then download a good spyware program and run it too

I suggest not logging onto eq and not using a credit card or online banking of any kind, not untill you have checked this web site and followed the directions for virus / spyware removal

I'm not here to flame anyone or cause drama, I am here to help people, and post exploits with EQ. Please do not think of me as the bringer of drama, I just scanned a file, found 6 keyloggers, and wanted to protect the other subscribers here at Redguides. I felt I was doing the right thing, and I still do.

Let's see, you posted a precompiled exe with with no description....
Folks scanned and it came back as it having keyloggers....
Then they posted their findings and bitched a bit....

Things you should have done.

1) remove the zip file from your original post
2) apologize, investigate and explain

None of that happened.

Instead a moderator had to remove the post and you post a "Dear John" ...

I completely missed the thread, didn't see a single post of it. All I say was the deleted thread..thing.

But reading what happened here, posting an exe with no explanation wasn't the smartest thing in the world to do.

I know you weren't attempting to link us a file with a virus, I know you better than that. So all I have to say is....get a better scanner.

You get flamed, boo hoo, your thread gets deleted, noone says anything, you post like normal...NOT post a "Dear John" letter.

I am sure what was posted was a mistake. Bandrent has been very helpful to the community maby times over. Bandrent has even helped myself and everyone here by providing a hosting site for My UIs and The MQ compiles.

BUt I am going on the record now. IF you flame the post is getting removed. Do NOT flame. IF there is a problem state the problem and report it to the Moderators. Each Moderator should have email or PM enabled to recive a message about a reported Thread.

The thread in question tonight was blaocked due to

1. the Link to a hack/spyware program. ( I am very sure this was an accedent)

2. The Main Reason the FLAMES. This is not an open community or the MQ boards. Flame will not be tolerated.

I can Only hope we do not loose you Bandrent. MIstakes happen I have made many myself in my time here.

Oh I am Also locking this thread, no more he said she said. IF bandrent returns great. If not we are sad to see you leave. But the matter is closed. For the people that flamed hard core the matter is in the hands of the Admin now. For the bad link that was psoted that is in the hands of the Admin.

We moderators jsut moderate the Threads, move things around, delete if needed and escalate to admin if need be. This matter has been passed on.
