Question - ROS - Hoshkar Raid

Talking out loud here...I am trying to box this raid - but have some problems automating the whole "Mount the Drake to fly up to the top level"

Has anyone done this that may have some pointers?

I was thinking I could use Autoloot to distribute the Harness clicky thing automatically to toons, But how could you automate to click it when a Drake fly nearby?

Would a React work? ie If Drake on top of me....Clicky the Thingy?

I also heard that one strategy was folks could put a banner up top - but I dont see how that is possible since the path up to the top is completely blocked off. My Guild never did this raid - so I have no clues about it.

BTW - the Mesh for TOV really sucks ass in the area around Kluzen the Protector. I am planning on updating the Mesh - how do I distribute it to the depository of meshes?
 
Assuming you have more than 1 group, you take a second group up the top before starting the raid. Use the second group to kill the drake/wyvern and the ones the throw the bombs. Once sorted, shrink, duck under the fence, drop down and help kill Hoshkar.

It is a bit tricky to get past the rock that blocks access. If you push hard and low at the bottom left you can squeeze through. Having a mage do it is the luxe option coz they can COTH the group up.

I haven’t done Hoshkar with 2 groups, only 4+. The next event with silverwing and Xylog is pretty hard with less than 4.
 
Getting up top prior to starting the event is not hard. Just duck and wiggle, unduck, rinse and repeat until you get through. Doing the event, however, is no small task if you're short handed (2-3 groups). In era, this was a burn event where you try to beat the boss before the mechanics overwhelm you. Playing short handed, even with level 120 characters, you're going to have to deal with the mechanics, which are very movement heavy. My guild occasionally does this on off-raid nights in order to get people the mount. We usually bring 20-25ish and it's still pretty hectic. Easily winnable, but everyone has to be on their toes. And that's with live players playing 1 character. Automating the movement is going to be a pita.
 
I am playing 54 @ lvl120 so dps on Hoskar wasnt an issue. I killed him and sat there killing the guardian mob over and over and over while i tried to get some folks to fly up.

If I can get my mage through the rock it should be cake and I wont have to worry about flying drakes. Lava is the biggest risk - more than a few folks burned to death - cos the mesh there really sucks.
 
could make a hotkey for /useitem saddle and mash it when drakes are near -- i did this on the wine quest in BF -- /bcaa //useitem wineskin

Having done this for the achievement that requires you to use the harness to fly up, I have a theory that you have to do the flying while Hoshkar is still active. So yeah, run you mage up, crouch/stand through the wall and then coh a group up top.
 
So here is a helpful hint.... Hoshkar and friends can be pulled up top. Allows you to completely ignore the movement and pool mechanics, Wyverns still spawn but you can kill them pretty easy with 1 group of 120's while the other group(s) handle Hosh and friends (get Hosh under 80% then burn the guardian down). Easiest way to do it is start the event, kill the first guard dude, get a saddle piece and take 1 toon up top, put down a banner / CF and gate everyone. Reset the event, bring everyone up top through banner, have 1 toon go down below, have a ranged puller at the edge, pull first guy up kill quickly, hosh spawns have a ranged puller (preferably SK or Pally) tag him while up top, give it about 30 seconds Hosh will warp up, tank him and guardian like normal but now with none of the movement mechanics (though still have to kill Wyverns). Let me know if you need more than that =P
