Guide - Ring of Scale - Some Stuff you may have missed

There are a few items in Ring of Scale - Veeshan's Peak that i had to go and get again for some toons. So I thought I'd share this guide.

The Items are:
1. Jeweled Sarnak Focus of the Elemental Deathseeker - (Permanent MOD ROD - Useful)
2. Jeweled Apothic Dragon Spine Hammer (50K Splash Heal - Useful)
3. Jeweled Skull of Null (Annul Magic 0.5 Casting Time - Useful)
4. Jeweled Hoarded Blood Orchid Katana (Jump Forward -Very Rarely Useful)
5. Jeweled Hoarded Worker Sledgemallet (AE DD, and Summon a Hammer which procs to OT - Not So Useful but It looks good on the wall)




And now to the Quests:

Zone in to the Regular VP Zone in Skyfire Mountains. At 125 I still take 2 groups - just to kill trash faster.
Trash is Light Blue - but they do Summon and some see invis so its just as easy to clear everything.

You can COTH in VP and the Mesh can be a nightmare in places. Especially in areas where there is a bridge over the Lava. No idea how to fix the mesh so what i do is:

/dgae /boxr pause

/dgae /tar MyNAME
/dgae /follow
Cross the bridge
/dgae /follow   ( Its a toggle: Everyone will stop following)
/dgae /boxr unpause

STEP 1 - Get the Item and start the Quest.
There are 5 Named mobs that you want to kill: There are no PH - but they do have about 3-4 hour respawn.

• Travenro the Skygazer - Drops the Faded Apothic Dragonspine Hammer (CLR DRU SHM)
• Kluzen the Protector (Watch the Mesh around this guy - its dodgy) - Drops the Sledgemallet (No Classes Listed)
• Elder Ekron - Drops the Faded Skull of Null (All Classes)
• Ellar Stormcloud - Drops the Blood Orchid Katana (WAR RNG BRD ROG)
• Milyex Vioren - Drops the Faded Sarnak Focus of the Elemental Deathseeker (NEC WIZ MAG ENC)

Once you go and kill these mobs and loot the item - (BTW it Doesnt always drop the Quest item. But its about 50%) then you go and find the Quest NPC:


Hand her the Faded Item, and she will give you the Quest.

Step 2: Of course the Quest is different for each item.

1. For the Apothic Hammer: Deliver 1 Skeleton Essence to Ingisitorma Calcesa.
Kill 20 Sepulchre Skeleton, Arisen Bones, Arisen Mentor in Howling Stones

2. For the Katana: Deliver 1 Empowered Blood to Ingisitorma Calcesa.
Kill 15 KARZOK Mobs in Gorwyn'.

3. For the Sledgemallet: Deliver 1 Transiting Stone to Ingisitorma Calcesa.
Kill 25 Golem type mobs in OT or Skyfire

4. For the Sarnak Focus: Deliver a Spirit Energy to Ingisitorma Calcesa.
Kill 15 Ghosts in Howling Stones.

5. For the Skull of Null: Deliver 1 Iksar-like Skull to Ingisitorma Calcesa.
Kill 25 Skorpikis Mobs in OT.

Step 3 - The Raid Part.
To update each of the Items to the Raid version (Probably not necessary to be honest) You can place it in a Forge and combine it with a Smithy Hammer, 2 Mana Battery - Class Six, and a Flawless Conflagrant Diamond which is obtained from a raid.


Which raid to do?
Fell Foliage is the quickes raid to do at lvl 125 - Ive never tried with a single group but its probably doable.
Allah has a good write up - but you will mostly ignore all this and just kill everything and ignore ae.

I dont have a Lua for this - because Lua wasnt invented back then...When I was young!
But I do have an Event for mq2events. You just need to set yourself up a Waypoint called AE and your toons will run to the waypoint and not kill everyone with the ae.

Thanks! I've had those diamonds floating around in my packs for a while now but had trouble finding the quest instructions for the last part.

My zerker still uses the skull click! Helped a ton since no one in my group had annul and those mean old NoS mobs have nasty DS's sometimes.

In era, the trick to moving around VP easily was to have a mage that hadn't killed anything there yet (or maybe in RoS at all? I can't remember) and use them to invis/CoH to where you need. Once you start killing, your faction with the mobs there tanks fast, but if you haven't killed anything they leave you alone until you do. I want to say it still works because the devs only addressed it by removing any way to raise that faction back, but I might've missed something.

Nice write up! I was still using my Depowered Jeweled Skull of Null for clicking in the Close the Gate raid in Terror of Luclin Bloodfalls. Clickable from a bag!

No, you are absolutely correct! I still have a mage who never ruined his faction there and can run around and coh at will!

The priest hammer however is single target 50k heal not splash from my observations. It's basically the manisi branch from EoK but in a different form (and same timer).

This item shares a timer with modern BP's clicks limiting its full effectiveness.

To get Flawless Conflagrant Diamonds, you can easily 1 group the End of Empire raid in skyfire. Just pop a dragon scales glyph, pop lifetap clickies for group, ae aggro all the trash and burn it down. You can get fancy and loot the shield clickies to block the ae too. Takes like 5 minutes.
