I need some help and input!

I would like to grow the in-game FAQs and remove a lot of the of the "placeholder" settings-based FAQ text, especially now that settings tooltips are searchable.

Issue... I've used mercs so long I don't even know where to start.

Does anyone have any input on things you stumbled on, especially if you think that thing may not be obvious to me?

Specific entries that should be there?

I would like to get it usable and reliable.

Note that these entries can also be ported to an out-of-game system eventually, so it will help with out-of-game documentation as well.
 
Would you mean like helping to fill in ToolTips with more examples that will also be in a web page faq? Or the FAQ section with the search bar? As I'm typing it, I'm guessing the latter?
 
Just what kind of FAQs newer users have, what they need direction on

It took me an hour to figure out how to x is a very broad example

Setting up some basic systems is a gimme, but I'm sure there are some things I will overlook

Ill preface my statements with im quite new to rgmercs and MQ to begin with, and regardless, its an amazing tool! I could very well just be mistaken on most anything.

I personally find issues finding certain things like a modifiable assist on HP%, or why my shadow-knight puller doesnt sit between pulls.

I will say the searchable settings aspect is great! I just feel many things need fine tuning. Looting for example.

I am surprised to hear you say that the assist percentage was difficult to find.
If the search is failing you, it can be found under Combat > Assisting (I am pretty sure a search for "assist" would reveal it).

Meditation and Pulling settings should also resolve themselves with a look through the options window. We have settings for when Medding will start and stop, and also minimum thresholds a puller will check before pulling. They are fully adjustable.

RGMercs isn't a loot script. We have some support for directing LootNScoot on emu, but you would need to take issues there to that author.

You said many things, yet listed one. I'd be happy to hear any other feedback you have.
 
Ok, I have one. Under clickies, when I go to select use, which one is for the mob? I take main assist for tank and I think auto target let's it pick who ever it wants? Is auto target for mob the tank(main assist) has targeted? Just confused. Thanks

The latter. The autotarget is the RGMercs assist-assigned combat target. I will check the verbage and tooltips to see if we can make that a little clearer. Cheers!
