Question - Removing spell rank check in KA

Could someone point me in the right direction on how I would customize my KA macro to not cast the highest rank of spells?

I am currently having a severe problem with my maxed out Enc, that is now back to silver. He is spam buffing his Rk. II spells and only the Rk. II spells which is causing him to not want to mez mobs on time because he is in mid-cast when the my puller comes back to camp with some not so friendly friends. I am using the bard to compensate for this atm, but I do not want to run the group this way.

I do not mind typing in Rk. II in each of my inis. I don't know if it is just a bug with the enchanter as I have not confirmed this on other silver chars, but I have tested this on my enchanter and no matter what ini I use, he will spam buff ALL Rk. II spells in the ini, so I had to take them out and manually cast before I run KA to prevent this. Not a problem for the 2hr+ buffs, but for runes and auras it's a major PITA.

I want to test this theory, but I need a little guidance on where to change the code. Thanks!

Just FYI, I bought the Rk. II spell unlocker from DB cash, so I think this is having something to do with this.

He is only spam rebuffing the Rk. II spells, and not any of the regular spells. ONLY RK. II

I currently have 3 gold accounts, 2 fresh 105 heroic ftp (haven't popped kronos yet), and two silver accounts that both have bought the Rk. II spell unlock, so I cannot check for myself.

Im just going to add my bit here ... most of my guys run ok using KA, except my chanter.. he seems to be the least likely of the group to function correctly within KA.. if im fighting multiple mobs, i notice there's no msg for mezzing (about 1/3 of the time) so i flip over to chanter, he's sitting there targeting himself, doing either nothing, or buffing mid-fight.. this is using that KA ini that has been provided recently by Emerica. I've gone through the ini itself, and it doesnt appear there are errors at all, and kisscheck doesnt hit anything either.. but he's super inconsistent..

There might be holdovers from something else affecting you, as well. I use a modified version of Emerica's and it works GREAT.

Are you restarting your computer periodically? KA starts to run oddly when my guys have been loaded and doing stuff for more than 3 days straight.

dont have to restart comp just /unload and refreash injections when ka starts acting weird and doing random errors. and i just delete all rank parts in my ini's and they work fine.

Its really quite odd.. I've tried running fresh from a reboot, also re-downloaded mq and rebuilt new ini for my chanter, then copied over the individual lines (DPS, BUFF, etc) from emerica's ini..

I'm going to have to go through it again with a fine-toothed comb, see if I'm missing something.. no errors in kiss though, but he's got to be stumbling on something..

They say Voice of Precognition for example I have no ranks associated with them. Again, I do not mind putting Rk. II in the ini for example. I am wanting to test this on the enchanter, so I would like to know where in the KA macro I can adjust this so that I need to type the rank in the inis.

In my group I drive the war, KA the ench, AC the cleric, EoKnuke Wiz, KA bard, so I don't use KA for other group buffers. He is the only one cycling through buffs. <---And I bought the Rk. II unlocker for the bard NOT the enchanter, so the bard is fine.

CAN SOMEONE VERIFY IF YOUR SILVER CHAR IS MEMMING RK. II OR RK. I IN THE SPELL GEM PLEASE?

Well aware of this, however something is causing the issue and the only way to test it is to change it to see if that fixes it.

The below ini has the VoP and HoP in it, however I manually cast these as he will literally recast these every 15 secs, so I took them out. Put them in as they are when the problem occurs.

Pretty sure I am using the latest version. Let me try that first.

Guys, I understand what KISS is doing, but it is not doing what it is supposed to do on this character. IF that is the case then the only way to fix it would be to change the mac on my computer. Unless someone can give me an alternate option.

Three people have said the exact same thing. I know this already otherwise I wouldn't be on the forums asking for someone to point me where in the mac I can change this to test it.

BUT, basics of troubleshooting start simple. Will verify I have newest compile. I usually run the updater twice a week, but let me check and I'll let you know.

I have no problem with the fighting portion of my enchanter now that I took out the Rk. II buffs. Mezzes the adds before they even get to camp sometimes. With those buffs in, I can I have to tab over and spam click deadening wave because he is mid VoP/HoP buffing. Took them out and no problems.

The rk. II is not being stripped from my spell book. I am memorizing VoP Rk. II and casting it, but VoP is the actual buff, so the enchanter is thinking that I have Rk. II so he is trying to buff that spell.

Same with HoP. KISS is not doing what it is supposed to on this char. I want someone to verify if their silver account is memming Rk. II or Rk. I in the spell gem.

II unlocker on this guy and used it, however DB says I did not, which leads to the problem of this bugging out. I am memming Rk. II and casting RK. II, and Rk. I is the actual buff in window<----Can someone verify that their silvers are doing the same?? IF they are meming Rk. I then THAT is the problem, ON THIS PARTICULAR TOON.

I'm not doubting what KISS is supposed to do. I don't care what buffs he is casting I, II, or III. It honestly doesn't make that big of a difference. I care about him rebuffing every 10 seconds (it's not the timer). I want to change my personal KA mac on my PC so that is stops. Looking for the line to do so, or I am going to take a baseball bat to the engine, so to speak, and I definitely don't want to do that.

I will ask someone in game what spells their silvers are memming? If it is indeed regular ranks, then that's the problem right there. If other silvers are memming rk. II and rank I are sticking then that's not the problem as it is happening for everyone.

IF silvers are memming rk. I, then that's the problem right there and my shit may be bugged on the back end between EQ and MQ2, so in that case the only way to fix it is to change it on my end.

All I am asking is for someone to point to the lines of code to change that. That's it. If I screw it up, I will just reinstall it.

FYI, the game shows me memming Rk. II, and casting Rk. I and Rk. I is the buff.
So that is not the problem. Can anyone guess why he would only recast Rk. II buffs?
I think something got jacked with the Rk. spell unlocker. Dunno but I am going to have to take those buffs out of the lineup and cast them manually.

If you have RK. II spells and have GOLD subscription you will cast RK. II spells and the Buffs will show RK. II, but if you have RK. II spells and have a SILVER subscription you will mem the RK. II spell,(That's because that's what in your spell book) but what is cast is the NON-RK. spell, there is no RK. I spell, there is only an RK. II and RK. III spell.

You can try the dual tag and try and fix this issue, use the Buff1=MY Spell RK. II|dual|My spell. If that does not fix the issue, then capture a debug log and post is here.

This didn't fix it either. Totally lost now.

I've tried different ini's....Recast RK. II buffs on both of those.

I guess there is no way to fix this. Will have to wait for autoenc I guess.

Will manually buff in the mean time.

I can't get any of my characters to replicate this issue. I have both a Shaman and Enchanter with Rk. II spells and they are both silver and they work fine. The Dual should be working, and since you say it is not working, then you need to check your Kissassist_buffs.ini file and see what is being recorded for each character in your group. Sounds like the Kissassist_buffs.ini file is read only or is not getting updated.

I don't have it on my mobile and not sure I would know by looking right away either. KA is quite complex. If the game says you didn't purchase the unlocker but you feel you did. Maybe do a petition to get that resolved while your waiting here?

I did, DB said they have no record of me buying it. But I did because I bought it the same time I did on my bard.

Every other component of KISS is working great for me, it just wants to recast Rk. II over and over again.

I also want to clarify that I have been using KISS for over a year now! This just recently started happening.

Make sure you are using the latest version of kiss first. Just for a test drop all your buffs on the toon that has the RK. II spells and is Silver account. Cast one of your RK. II spells on yourself. Look at the buff, does the buff show the spell name with RK. II? what is the exact spell name when you look at the GEM, .VS. The Buff in your buff window?

I do have the latest version of Kiss. I've been hitting the updater about everyday now this week in hopes there is a tweek somewhere to fix this.

In regards to the spells, one for example, He mems Voice of Precognition Rk. II, casts Voice of Precoginition, and the buff is Voice of Precognition. Same goes for all of the Rk. II spells that I currently have.

On Ward of the Enticer that is still the regular spell, never ended up getting the Rk. II. Now when he casts this spell he will wait on the timer and recast. Timer is set to 20.

But, ALL of the Rk. II that I use to buff, he will go through the rotation, then sit for about 15-20 secs and then go through and ONLY RECAST THE RK. II buffs, then this becomes an endless cycle, so I have had to take out all of my Rk. II buffs, otherwise he's picking his nose casting VoP and HoP when I have 4 to 5 mobs in tow to camp. Just thankful that I'm beefy enough to tank them until he decides to stop picking his nose and AE mez. <---So I manually cast ALL Rk. II buffs on enchanter now to prevent this.

I am truly amazed that NO ONE has either said, "NO, you can't change the KISS mac to manually type Rk. II spells in the ini." or "Figure it out yourself".

The silence on this is mind blowing.

Gigantic pain in the ass this has become.

The enchanter is spam rebuffing ALL Rk. II spells, the regular spells are fine and properly go through the time rotation as intended by KISS.

Rk. II spells on this character are either not being recognized that I am now silver OR KISS thinks this character is still all access and wants to cast Rk. II and when it doesn't stick as Rk. II it will recast.

I'm going to insert this line because I'd rather here it from myself "You don't need to specify Rk. II in KISS anymore".

BUT THAT IS THE POINT!!!! I WANT TO SO I CAN FIX MY ENCHANTER! hahaha

I really do appreciate your help CTaylor, I just don't know what else it can be.

Has the update been fixed to actually get the latest Kiss version? This latest update when it was dropped wasn't downloaded the latest KA. It was 2 versions behind I think.

Might be a good idea to open it and make sure your running 9.2.3.

Yeah I reinstalled the updater when Rebot purposefully broke it as he stated.

I don't think the old updater evens connects to be honest, but yeah all my files are current and updater are current.

Thanks, I`ll check for 9.2.3 then.

Oh well, manually casting shit isn't going to kill me.

I'll have to live with a broken Mac (maybe!, I need to try out CTaylor22's advice from the other thread, thanks man!)
