Well the group gear is better then TDS tier 1 group gear and some better than tier 2 and its not prestige.
Kind of, you only get one heroic and you trade AC for HEM or vice versa. At least from what I've seen.
The group gear is not near TDS tier 3, and reports from beta are that going up in tiers doesn't scale the same way TDS tiers did (it's much less). I guess we'll see as more gear become available.

Don't buy the merchant armor. No matter how you aug those, TDS T3 is better. There are dropped armor and those can be aug'd to be better than TDS T3 with some trade-offs. Like for my warrior, I am going to be losing anywhere from 80hp to 200hp per slot, but will be gaining much more A/C and a WHOLE LOT of +hdex/hagi. I already have one slot5 aug that is +40hDex, but it's lore. I have another slot 5 aug that is +32Dex and can put that in every slot. So we're looking at some really big numbers for +hstats here, what that actually means I am really not sure lol.
Weapons are a huge improvement for me as I am only group geared. Went from a 118dmg/22delay 1hs to a 136dmg/20delay 1hp, with better a/c, slightly lower hp and whatever. But then got a 1hs that I think is better for a tank 139dmg/22dly 132ac 2800hp. this is the info at lvl105, not what it shows for lvl110. Still looking for a slot 5 aug for it.
For the currency, do Faith in Relife as much as you can. Especially if you have a rogue. Run the rogue around for 5 minutes to click some stuff, kill three mobs you spawn, hail Mayor West, run the rogue down to hail Bokon Karass and done.I think you get 500 Remnants for it, not sure. Might be lower. You get 333 remnants for it. For me that's, 333x6 @10 to 15 minutes to complete
Here is the really big thing about this gear. None of the TBM stuff that I got that will go better than TDS T3 (with trade-offs) says prestige on it. I even put a type 7 prestige aug on and the overall gear still does not say prestige. Not sure if that's normal. But it would seem that the base components of the TBM gear is not prestige. Maybe they just haven't gotton around to it yet, who knows.

Um, all of the group armor is much better then TDS t3. However at the moment you cannot put type 9 augs into any type of jewelry, or charm.

There's certainly gear and classes that make out better than others. The PoTranq merchant bought armor though is not worth getting for a warrior as it is a step down from TDS T3 no matter how you aug it. The dropped visible armor a warrior can use is pretty good though. Will lose some hitpoints, but the gain in A/C and hStats makes up for it compared to TDS T3 group gear. Also, the 2hb aug seems to have been thought out for a 1hander as no way that will work out to be comparable for hitpoint/mana/endurance. Not sure on dmg/dly ratio as I was just trying to aug it out for my enchanter and enchanter is better off keeping his Armellium from TDS.
Another really easy HA is Under The Robe. You just need to kill 18 mobs for first stage. I like going to the area @"The Heights" and killing everything there because that's where the named/ph will spawn after you kill "an aggressive bokon". Move over to the area next to it to finish up the first stage, hand in emblem to Mayor West then run my group down the stairs in the pit where Bokon Karass is (think it's the very first ledge...not same place as regular zone). Stage my boxes by the stairs away from the steps before the door, med up, hand emblem to Bokon Karass and he will calmly walk to the steps by the door and turn into "an aggressive bokon" x4. Hit defensive on my tank because no raid gear so just playing it safe and kill the 4 bokons. Hail mayor, loot chest and kill named if it spawns. Takes @30 minutes for 500 remnants. I usually do Relife, then Under the Robe, take a short break and repeat Relife. Think Under The Robe is a 3 hour lock-out. Relife is just 1 hour lockout.

750? been getting about 400 at most

make sure you turn the feather back to Bokun .. not the optional endings... they don't pay out
