So here's my situation, I run 3 characters, Shaman, Bard, SK, and I prefer to actively play my sessions and move around a lot vs a fully automated and camp based KA set-up. Mostly I want to fully focus on the SK with the shaman tossing out malo/slow/cripple/Canni/heals and the bard tagging along keep songs going and melee some.
:bang:
Anyone have any recommendations on what macro's I should use and maybe configuration pointers to get them set up appropriately?

run all 3 on KA.

set returntocamp=0, chaseassist=1 on the bard / shaman (and start them with SK targeted).

start the SK using /mac kissassist manual and then turn on buffs / dps / etc.

setup eqbc and create hotkeys for common things: telling toons to MQ2 autofollow (which should make them follow your footsteps and click doors / etc.), telling toons to switch targets, cast group perfected invis, etc.)

as for how to configure the KA .ini for each class, the wiki should be a good starting point for ideas.

I've been trying to crack the nut with movement and camp locations, lately. In the past using /mqpause on and /mqpause off worked well, but now afnuke2 and autocleric don't work as easily. If I'm not camping one spot I'll clear a section, /end on all my toons, move up to the new spot, and then have a hotkey to target my tank and /bct to tell each of my toons to start their macros.

Not the most efficient.

Have you tried using `/camphere` to update your camp location? What you do is you just `/bcga //camphere`, move to the new location and do `/bcga //camphere` a second time.

In my experience, you cannot use the /camphere command without having KA running and Un-Paused. If it's paused it simply will not work.

/camphere does work wonders when KA is running. That and the /chaseassist toggles I use all the time over pausing MQ2.

I find it is best to use just the 1 macro until you are more comfortable with the use and manipulation of MQ there PinkWonder.

KA is an all-in-one style macro bot. It can do pretty much most anything dealing with group activities. It also has toggles (switches) to turn stuff off if you prefer to handle X thing yourself. Up to and including the "/mqp" )which is shorthand for "/mqpause") command that will pause any running macro at the line it is at.

I would recommend taking the time to learn what you can do , and what limitations there are, to the macro and how to manipulate it to achieve what you want, before attempting to mix in other macros. As Sum1 has illustrated, sometimes there are quirks you will run into when mixing macros.

But to give a little insight to it, the other macros are more specialized in function. They can do X job a little (to a lot) better.... depending on what you need/what you are trying to accomplish. They each come with thier positive and negative aspects that effect your gameplay. While you are still getting used to things at the moment, I would say stick to the 1 macro ( a general purpose one) until you have a driving need to make X toon work a little better, and can't seem to tweak the general purpose one to meet what you want to do.

I had a thread were ppl posted a lot of the hotkeys and group handling methods they used. Pausing the mac, as you elluded to, can kill your grp. The one's I use today are listed somewhere in that thread.

I do this:
[Ensure everyone is returning to camp]
/bcaa //chaseoff
/bcaa //camphere 0
/bcaa //camphere

[Ensure everyone is chasing]
/bcaa //camphere 0
/bcaa //chaseon

The only catch with this is getting afnuke2 (Raz's wizzy macro) and Autocleric to do the same things :) ... they very well might, mind you, but I haven't looked into that!

Autocleric instituted KA's chase commands, and works perfect. AFN, I don't remember, but I always have it tethered to the cleric, so it follows along blindly.
