I would venture a guess that if someone figured out how to do this, they could probably make it work with 8 888 as well. If I get bored I may look into it.

It's not true.
You can edit what YOUR client see's as the # you roll, but you cannot change what the server see's and broadcasts to everyone else.
It's serverside.
