Question - Raid leveling

I have been doing setups in different areas and am just curious if using 2 groups to level let’s say a group of 105s to 110 how would the exp be is 1-2 groups are in raid max aa max exp and 1 group (level needed group) is getting exp, would it be worth it to just bring the 2 groups together to dominate everything in sight instead of splitting them up? Gonna set up a trail run to see how it goes just thought I’d as as I’m sure many have tried this before.

Being in a raid cuts exp to about 33%-50% of what you'd get in a group. You lose the "grouping" exp bonuses of +20-80% per kill based on group member total and an extra division bonus for full group.

It is very fast kills, but I found the real restriction is finding areas you have enough mobs and getting KA to pull fast enough for 12-18 toons. You have a lot of down time due to pullers only waiting for camp to clear before getting more. Even with chainpull on, it's still pretty slow.

If you've got two groups worth of toons and want to PL, use the fellowship vitality bonus (+300% to AA, +500% to exp.)

Thanks, tbh not really looking to PL just looking to make sure if I’m not paying attention my groups don’t die due to names pops while leveling my alt box’s. Was just more curious as how much it actually effects the exp gain but if it allows me less time to recover i feel it might be worth it to do like this in the long run, gonna give it a good full day run on my next day off and see how it goes, if very noticeable might just switch back to how I been doing it.

Cool. It does give you that "invincible" feeling, that you can pull back to back Named and not even worry if anything is on cooldown. Also a great way to do hunter achievements and get bags for a bunch of toons at once.

What I have tried is having the 2 groups located together, and pulling but not in a raid.
The buffers use Mass group buff, and healers have tanks and healers on xtarget, and all clerics rez everyone. And the mezzers mez for everyone.

The problem is that the groups steal each other's mobs, and only one gets credit, but more total experience.

If you're using one group to PL another this makes sense, otherwise you'd have little mechanism but dumb luck to actually smooth out exp gain over the two groups.

Don't make a raid. You have the experience group, and individual dps toons which are not grouped. Since the individual toons can't outdps the group all the exp goes to the experience group. Just make sure you have one or more high dps toons in the exp group.

@sl968 If the DPS group has 45% of the Damage, and the individual characters/other groups have the other 55% but everyone has less than 50%, who gets credit?
And is the amount of Exp that group gets the same as if they had 51%?

I like to run my tank + healer + Cc + 1 real dps in a group with two “PL toons”. Then I run as many “extra” toons that are solo with a healer merc assisting the tank. Typically a healer merc on reactive does a fine job of keeping a single dps alive thru AOE’s which is all they should ever see

I dont think mercs will heal unless a member of the group has aggro unless that has changed

Cleric Mercs always heal, DPS mercs do nothing unless you have agro.

If the dps group does 2% damage and 49 individual characters with healer mercs each do 1%, then the exp group still gets all the experience. And it’s the same as if they did 100% of the damage.

The DPS toons are not in groups Therefore no one toon will have done a significant amount of damage enough to take the experience away from the experience group. Trust me it works.

Yeah right now I’m just running a group of tanks, heals and cc then few oog dps and a group of 3 dps and 3 levelers assisting tank group and must say it is crazy fast.

Yes you can use Eqmules plugin Xassist with out group group who will assist your first group. It is what i use to run 4 groups to ensure my main dont die them self. They will assist who is added to extended target window. So as long as your main dudes you need on that list they will assist them.

Oh hmmm know if that works with mq2berzerker? I am running 3-4 zerks atm
They would need a main assist iirc in their group not sure what all chats has added i know it had raid assist and main assist group roles. So if thats still case you could put them in group with someone who slows or malo etc the mob and set them main assist for the zerks to assist.

You can also run mq2berzerker with a macro. Like make a basic KA ini that just does the melee engage and let mq2zerk handle all the DPS stuff.

I have tried that but when I try to kissassist I haven’t got it to work with mq2berzerker for some reason. Gives me a bunch of errors

Omg ty so much! Can’t believe I didn’t think of something that small lmao
