Guide - Raid Boxing Strategies - Boxing Old Raids

I went and tried The Summoning of Droga (Raid). With my two groups it was pretty trivial. I just set everyone to Raidassist my warrior and took the 2 groups and kill the trash, the the high priest and the moved down and killed the main mob. I ignored the adds and killed the main guy. The adds depopped when main guy died.

Beat Griklor the Restless (Raid) with 2 groups of 125s and 1 group of 120s. All toons are running CWTN plugins except bards, which are on KA.

Prep:
- Set Raid Assist
- Turn on Raidmode
- Turn off BurnallNamed
[BGCOLOR=initial]- Turn off BurnAlways[/BGCOLOR]
[BGCOLOR=initial]- Plant superior banner for the extra stat boosts. Usually I place it on the right side and pull Griklor there when I can, and definitely pull him there nearing the 30% burn mark.[/BGCOLOR]

MT is in "Manual" mode while everyone else is on Chase. Using the map, I keep in front of Griklor with the entire raid force so doesn't matter who he calls out. When dervish adds pop (get aggro with MT, but won't kill until Griklor is on the ground. Less risk of missing AE callout that way). Then I switch off of Griklor to kill them quick and then switch back. When he pops back up in the sky, self-target with MT to get everyone back to following. Also, make a hotkey to /backoff the bards to get them back to following as well. Rinse and repeat this 4-5 times. I ignore the AE's and do not bother with running to Bethun for safety.

If lag causes me to miss too many callouts, then I'll reset and start over. Once he's down to 30%, hit burn hard and pop glyphs. The adds may get a little hairy, but they despawn upon Griklor's death. After he dies, log in whatever other toons you want and bring them into the raid and dz for the alt coin.

Hotkeys that come in handy for this event:

1. You'll want one to toggle your BurnAlways on when he hits 30%
2. You want one to backoff the bards and get them following the MT
3. Have a hotkey that immediately calls everyone to your MT. This comes in handy if a caster stops following to buff or something and was at risk of missing the AE callout.

Group makeup is just 3 well rounded teams each consisting of Tank, Healer, CC, and a few DPS. I put the tanks on the healer's extended target window and turn on healing for that so all healers help keep the tanks alive along with their respected groups too.

TBH you might have been able to use a group of pallys.. i know you can on Zland (the SU thing).

I recommend you check out Chasing the Bifold Focus. I was able to complete with two groups but my mq2events had a typo when I looked at this thread so hopefully when I do it again it will let me avoid the gaze.

I was able to get the Mirror, Mirror achievement by doing the following. I had a 125 ranger group gear start tanking King Xorbb. The ranger had no damage items equipped in primary and secondary. I also removed any damage shield buffs.

I had cleric in group to heal but this was probably not necessary as Xorbb was not hitting hard.

Everyone was paused but had the LEM loaded I made for the event to look away for charm emote.

Ranger offtanked until 4 adds popped, killed 4 adds quickly and looted 2 of the clickies needed for the mirror mirror achievement. While killing the adds, Xorbb finally started to move to mirror and raid just followed and once he was behind mirror, click the item looted and was successful in reflecting spell.

Once Xorbb was active again, the raid just burned down Xorbb and adds. Got all 3 achievements in the fight.

Yesterday, me and a friend did the Tower of Rot raid. Why do that you ask - Chasing the Shield of Immaculate Light.

He played the role of ranger. He tank Bayle from the start of the fight. I had cleric in group with the ranger to heal. Ranger switched to non damage at 90 once the adds popped. You do not want to get 75 on Bayle because adds will stop.

I ran 1 group (War, Brd, Clr, Shm, Rog, Ber) and killed the adds that pop at 90. They pop 4 at a time and have a short repop time meeting. Do not damage Bayle while killing adds so you get enough to kill to get achievement. First attempt had second group but due to ae from Bayle, the mage swarm pets aggroed on him and took him to 75.

I killed adds until 32 killed so 8 pops to ensure get one achievement. Then DPS Bayle down to 75 and he is no longer in fight and 3 named adds pop, they need to be balance killed. If not balanced they reset to similar health. DPS one down a few times to get imbalance while above 70. This gets you second achievement. Finally, kill them in alphabetical order to get third achievement.

TBM Raids - Sul Vius Life Raids

There are two raids in this zone. You get the raids from Lashun in Plae of Health by zone-in. You zone-in to the raid zone by clicking on the coffin used to click into the Demiplane of Life.

The first raid was simple, Vim and Vigor. It is in the pit. You have 2 mobs to balance down to kill. They out of balance mode than 5% then they heal to highest level of health. It is a tank and spank basically. You get an achievement killing Vim first and keeping them balanced and completing the raid before the ritualist complete their task. Kill the ritualist, you can de-link the health of Vim and Vigor but I kill them to stop them for the achievement. You need to kill them within 55 seconds.

The second raid is Anashti, Lady of Life.

The components to this raid is simple. You kill Anashti. At certain Health, a hero's coffin will spawn on the level above. You have certain amount of time to destroy it or a minor boss pops out. If you do destroy all coffin'ss before a boss pops, then you get an achievement. The coffins pop at 91%, 61%, 41%, and 26%. Another component is Anashti casts debuff called Holistic Health which if you do not cure by running into the Lamplight, you will die and an add will spawn. There is an golem add that will pop every once in awhile just kill it.

For the Holistic Health debuff, I create a LEM to get cured. It need mq2boxr to work properly. Make sure it is loaded for everyone. You get an achievement for not dieing to this debuff and spawning an add.

Fell Foliage
I have completed this raid with 2 125 mostly group (TOB or LS) gear groups. Everyone assisted the main tank, and I switched to kill adds when they popped. There are 6 types of adds:
  • a surreal succulent - this is first to be killed as it can charm
  • a pitiful succulent - this is second to be killed as it can mez
  • a renegade succulent - This is third to kill as it has big ae if it does not die in time. At 125, you should be able to heal without killing it.
  • a spiteful succulent - This is just a trash mob.
  • a burgeoning succulent - Killing this mob will spawn one of each surreal, pitiful and spiteful.
  • a sprouting succulent - This is a non-aggro mob but it is linked to two achievements. Either you kill them all to get the brown thumb achievement or let it sprout and it will spawn one of the surreal, pitiful and spiteful mobs and you get the green thumb achievement.
Boss spawns HP% adds at: 83, 67, 51, 35, 19 - one of each surreal, pitiful and spiteful.

To start the raid, you need to get the quivering scion from Hortulanus in the raid zone. You need to plant it in good soil which is away from her in another part of the zone. I use the following /nav locyxz -1868.18 683.60 3.50 for my camp and plant it there by clicking on the quivering scion. This will create a monstrous succulent. It takes awhile to grow but once done you kill it. Once dead, it will some the Boss - Cactiikii. You DPS down and switch to adds as they pop. The difficult part is at 30% when the Boss starts to do an emote on 2 toons. If the dot lands while the toons targetted are need the raid you get an ae that can wipe the raid: Accumulated Spines. It is not the damge per se but the Set Healing Effectiveness to -100% which can cause a wipe.

I have created a LEM which you need to run on everyone for it:

It will run to points far enough from the raid, if you at the camp I put up above to avoid the AE hitting the raid itself. During the final 30%, you still have to deal with adds and if more than 7 are up at a time, the boss becomes invulnerable so you have to kill the adds. For the last 30%, I avoided killing a burgeoning succulent as I would only have one to three up during final stage and just means less trash to kill if you kill it and spawn the 3 adds on its death. Adds disappear once boss is dead if any are up.

End of empire (ros) is a pretty easy raid to box, basically just tank and spank after you get the green guys down, probably the most recent raid I have one boxed, good for getting mangling rk3 for zerk
I have trouble getting bounced around and getting knockback into DT areas of zone. What are you doing to box this?

if you do old raids and/or current raids, then your LEM library is essentially your strategy guide.

LEM is to Macroquest what GINA is to human player guilds
