Pretty brand new user here so maybe I just haven't found it the correct setting in my follow 15 minutes of trying.

When I click start pulls it sets whatever character I'm on as the puller even when I have puller role assigned in group. As in if I have my bard set as puller in group but I am manually controlling my SK and click start pulls my SK gets assigned as the puller and starts pulling.

Is this meant to function as I'm seeing or am I missing something?

Start the pull module from the character you want to pull.

You can broadcast a command to the bard if you would prefer to do it from another character.

Hail Algar, Loving this so far. I figured that was the answer and that's what I have been doing.

Have you considered making this an option/changing the behavior so you could click start pulls from any character to send the designated puller? If this is even possible anyways

Anything is possible.
I had not considered it.
I may consider an indicator that an RGMercs peer is pulling in your group/raid.

I guess I should have thought of this first but I'm assuming there are command line's I could send to pause and start polls to that client I will have to do some cooking when I get back online tonight that probably does all I need to do

99.8% of anything you can do in the GUI can be done via CLI.

/rgl pullstart /rgl pullstop are the two you are looking for. Broadcast to whoever/however you do. in the settings popout brought up with the gear icon, there is near the bottom an extensive list of commands in with the FAQs - it comes up with FAQs opened, commands on another dropdown above the FAQs.

Thanks I found them shortly after when I actually started thinking through the problem. Now my issue with my bard set to chain pull My tank does not always get aggro on everything for he sprints off again so half the group ends up following which is a huge mess. I've been playing around with settings but have not solved the issue yet. I suppose as my tank gets better AE aggro tools it become moot

setting a camp? And make sure tank has autotarget set on, as well as rest of group. for tank that lets it choose the target, for all others, it lets them follow tank as long as tank is set as main assist in group roles. Levels definitely help.

Since your new you should know if you're pulling with tools it's best to pull with your tank.
I have since realized this but I also still like having the ability to dispatch my bard for a pull.

currently pull with the tank primarily but have a hotkey to toggle pulling on bard who do I keep set to chain instead of normal. It just gives me more versatility and I really like how that has been working out.

I have actually been playing around with setting my ranger or beast to MA instead of tank. I'm finding that DPS jumps all over the place as the tank target swaps for aggro and frequently end up killing two or three at the same time instead of focusing

Your tank scanning for aggro is an option, and there are many other options that may address the behavior you are describing.

It is transient, later on, you will easily hold aggro. Good solution just keep in mind that it may not be a great forever solution.
