Problem - Pulling with Rogue not working very well

I have had rogue pull with a bow, and with an aa dagger throw - and for some reason the rogue doesn't come back to group all the time. I also notice that KA is changing my camp radius to 180, which would explain my rogue is going ALL over the place

Also, my rogue is pulling one mob, and when it does bring it to camp... Pulls another right away (if I'm using bow), before it even engages whats in camp and is engaged.

I would set:

Role=puller
CampRadius=35
MeleeDistance=75
PullWith=Ranged Item Name|Ammo Name

Make sure all XTargets are set to auto. make sure your puller is NOT the MainAssist of the group.
 
Bottom line your puller should never be MainAssist(MA). I am referring to any character that pulls and does not tank the mob. You should have a tank and that is who the puller should /assist. If you are manually playing a character have all in the group should target your tank and start kissassist. Create an assist hot key that does /assist nameofyourtankgoeshere, then do your thing.

Pull a mob and the tank should engage it when it gets into range, at that point on the puller hit your hot key and your all set.
 
I've actually had those setting in there too, I"ll run it tomorrow with those exact settings. My warrior is the assist, and I use the line /mac kissassist puller but I will change it and see how it goes.

Something I also failed to report is that the rogue was pulling double... when I used bow|arrow name, it would bow something, it would come to camp, rogue would target something else and pull it too.. chain pulling wasn't on, etc.. some times after the first of 3 aggro mobs would die, rogue would pull another =\

I was thinking they were probably all related.

I see, thanks. Unfortunately this precludes the use of /chaseon when manualy playing a char that doesn't tank.
 
So to be precise... my group consists of my Rogue who is the puller (The ini has her as assist, but I use /mac kissassist puller - which should work, right?), and a warrior set as tank using /mac kissassist tank.

The rogue will pull one to camp, tank engages, rogue pulls another mob anyways. Sometimes when the rogue comes back to camp, the rogue doesn't come right back to where camp is... almost too far away for the tank to engage.

When watching the rogue pull, the pull range gets set to 180, regardless of what I have changed it to in the macro - that's what it changed to when I was using arc|ethereal arrow, I changed it to an aa dagger throw, and that didn't make it any better, and I changed to to melee, and the dam thing said pull range auto changed to 15.......

something in that code is messed up. I can't even pull mobs 200 units/feet in front of me.. ever...
 
I *think* it's changing castradius and not camp radius. I believe it's drawing a circle on the map that shows how far your pull tool can reach (bow: 160, melee: 15, etc.)

I would recommend the following changes:
MeleeDistance: 50 - this is how close a mob has to get before the character tries to melee, with it at 150 as soon as the mob is 150 units away the character tries to go melee
CampRadius: 30 - the smaller the camp is, the easier it is for mobs to be melee'ing on you but outside of the campradius and prevent your group from engaging

If your puller is going past obvious mobs you may want to up your MaxZRange, 10 has worked for me on concrete like surfaces but any outdoor zone with any terrain at all (and if you add in lev) it is easy for a mob to be too high or low and get missed.
 
OK, Rogue still training group (pulling when there are already mobs in camp) Deleted my ini file and generated a new one. It defaults with CampRadius=30 (I don't see how that will effect pulling while a mob is in camp).

Don't worry about what you see CastRadius set to. The Pull routine uses the PullRange field to check if your within range of the mob you are pulling. In your case the 180 sounds about right. Your PullRange should be 90% of your ranged items(Arc) range.

It sounds like you puller(rogue) either does not see the mobs in camp. or does not have your tank set as his mainassist.

Try and capture a debug of kiss starting up and see what it says about "I am puller. Kissassisting >> Tank Name Here << at 98%

The puller will only take off to pull another mob when all Xtargets are cleared and there are no mobs in combatradius. If he takes off to pull a mob then check and see if there are any XTargets active, you need to make sure ALL XTargets are set to Auto just to test this.

The other thing to test is the Kissassist_info.ini file and find the zone entry for your current zone. Make sure MobsToIgnore=NULL and MobsToPull=ALL

It's just playing whatever song was last being twisted, still doesn't play the song that is in spell slot 3 (which is mana song)
 
It will only play the song when they need to med.. Not that familiar with bards...

I forced it into med mode a few times by hitting fading memories.... it sat and med, but did not twist song #3.. it twisted whatever song was playing last.
 
I will have to get me a bard and see if I can figure out what is going on. Want to give me a few tips on playing a Bard?
 
lazy box bards equal /melody (Warmarch of ...), (Aria of...), (Arcane ...), (...song of suffering), (pulse of ...) line up can change due to group setup ie. mostly casters or mostly melee. Lively crescendo and Dichotomic mixed in when available

epic/quicktime/fierce eye clicked on cooldown, can pretty much spam all his DPS AA's too

Boastful Bellow and Displacement aa's and fading memories will be all you really need to pull if you so choose to pull.

selos sonata is the speed buff, some of the bards mez spells will push or pull so careful with those.

insults and fading memories are the mana drains, unless using some of the niche spells like the accelerando line or using craptons of mezzing

and dont forget about the aura's, they replace(to lesser extent)/supplement the (Aria of ...) line or the (pulse of ...) line
