Bug - Pullertank not attaching mob when pulls with pet...

Been working a couple areas where pulling with a spell or range item doesn't work well due to terrain / line of sight issues. So I decided to try using the pet to pull (because we all know that pull with melee blows).

Pullertank (SK) would run out, send in pet, call back pet, and return to camp just fine.
However when mob gets to group the tank doesn't attack consistently. Sometime he will immediately jump into action, but most times he stands there watching .
Pet has a DS, so as the mob beats on the pet it takes damage. When the assist criteria for the rest of the group is met, they attack and proceed to kill the mob.
When watching, pullertank will sometimes join in halfway thru the fight, but more often than not he just watches...
Played with campradius, meleedistance and assist at #'s to no avail.

Am I missing something?

I created a downshit to cast my usual pulling spell when mob got close. It works well but should I need it?

I use mage and we do still stall out sometimes, but it was so much better then it was a month ago that I have not reported the stalls.
 
I think with pullerpettank you target the pet but not sure that is doable with pullertank.
And I don't know if it was a stall or a non-detect / missdetect issue. When I used a downshit (I know, plugin vs. macro) there was never an issue.

Most of the time this problem has to do with who is MA and who is targeting who, when starting KA. In this situation, the PullerTank(SK) should target self when starting macro. Everyone else should be targeting the MA(SK), not the pet, when starting KA.

That's what I did, pullertank (SK) targets self and has the "hang". Never did the target pet.
 
Post your INI. There could be an issue with CampRadius and/or MeleeDistance. When using a pet to pull with, you may need to increase you CampRadius a bit more than usual. If the pet never moves into campradius after the pull, the pullertank will just stand around waiting. Might need to add in a buffer that includes the pets distance added to campradius, for when the pet is on the fringe of camp radius and the mob stops to beat on the pet.

Mind was pulling from less than 200 unit, and down would fire when they were within 50 so distance shouldn't be the issue.
 
You need to change the following:
Role=pullertank
ReturnToCamp=1
CampRadius=50

and report back.

I usually use a hot key to start mac:

but for the sake of trying everything I did this.

Mind I thought this was a fix, ran about 45min before I realized I hadn't turned off the downshit...(note downshit fires off before mob gets to the pet in camp set at a range of 50).

With the downshit off and your suggested changes it still did what it did before I created the downshit..Sitting on his weapon/shield watching his pet get wailed on.
If I don't have a DS on the pet so the mob doesn't loose HP, the mob will continue to beat pet till healer(s) go OOM, then kill the pet, then attack healer after pet dies..THEN the SK takes action
 
If pet has DS (so the mobs HP% drops to the necessary level for the others to assist), SK wont react untill someone/thing other than his pet (other toon or other pet) draws agro..And then its go time.

Still...all is same as twas before.

Note: SK has mob targeted entire time, pet does not (pet goes to ghold after it agros mob), but pet 8s mobs target, and SK will hold till mob changes target or dies.
 
If you can get a debug log when this happens. I can tell you where your SK is hanging up. But this sounds like the SK does not see the mob while waiting for the mob to get close to camp after pull. The puller waits till the mob comes into campradius before engaging, but it sounds like the mob never gets close enough to camp. so the SK stands there waiting.
 
Im sure the mob is in camp rad, but i think its not recognizing it because HIS pet has agro, as soon as the target changes to someone else (or someonelses' pet) he activates, and attacks, but as long as his pet has agro.. he waits....

but will try to remember to run a debug nextime i try it.. off to other things atm..
 
Ok, with the new compile the pull with pet seems to be working well, 45min-1hour constant pulls, no hangups. Will monitor more, but I think the issue has resolved...
