Problem - Problem with tap spells on pally

I am running into an issue with kissassist heals labeled as |Tap on my level 85 heroic Paladin.

I have the spell in my ini as follows.

Heals4=Aurora of Morrow Rk. II|99|Tap|Cond6

(for reference Cond6=(${Group.Injured[80]} >= 2) )

When I am fighting mobs and the condition is triggered the pally will start casting the spell and then interrupt it over and over again. The message I get in the MQ box is

"Aurora of Morrow Rk. II interrupted. Target is an NPC"

It will spam that over and over again.

Any idea what I am doing wrong?

I dont think Aurora of Marrow is a Tap.

Have you tried any other syntax?
Something like:
Heals4=Aurora of Morrow|80

Heals1-15NULLSpellName|%Health|FlagHeal Spells must use the following syntax: Spell Name|% health to heal at as seen below. Not using flags will cast that spell on anyone if they meet the spells casting criteria.
|MA - Specific to just cast on the MA
|!MA - Specific to everyone EXCEPT the MA
|Me - Specific setting for just the healer
|pet - Specific to only cast on the pet
|tap - Applies to lifetap spells and drain spells. Forces KissAssist to target a mob to cast.
|Mob - Applies to Heal Nuke spells.
|Class - Requires list of class shortnames, see example in the Buffs section above. Use with single target heals.
Rez Spells
|rez, |rezooc, |rezcombat - - Declare your rez spells/AA's/Items.
rez = In and out of combat.
rezooc = Out of Combat only
rezcombat = In Combat only.
Examples:
Heals1=Devout Elixir|75
Heals2=Devout Light|70|MA
Heals3=Devout Light|50
Heals4=Drain Soul|70|tap
Heals5=Frostbitten Gift|70|Mob
Heals6=Blessing of Resurrection|0|rez

As @Szazor said and posted in the docs, taps will target mobs and according to the spell data Aurora of Morrow needs to target yourself so I think if you replace Tap with Me it should work. Final result being: Heals4=Aurora of Morrow Rk. II|99|Me|Cond6

Old player anecdata: I'm not a pally expert, but I believe a lot of their older spells suffered from being self targeted so they were constantly switching targets between mobs and themselves. I'm pretty sure that's been solved in recent years and you won't have to worry as much about the Me stuff, but someone can correct me if I'm wrong

Aurora is not self targeted. When I play manually I can definitely cast it while the mob is targeted, but maybe the game thinks it is?

So I tried this using the me command and it does the same thing. Keeps the mob targeted and spams "Aurora of Marrow interrupted. Target is an NPC". Also tried it with no extra tag and it still did the same thing.

Try the Mob tag.
Heals4=Aurora of Morrow Rk. II|99|Mob|Cond6

Ignore me. I was thinking of Burst.

Looking through the ini library, it looks like others were using |Tap with Aurora types.

Still doing it with mob tag. Here is the whole ini in case I am overlooking something else.

Huh. Well I'm stumped. I checked my Paladin's ini and although I haven't verified that he actually casts it and it works, he has the same things as you:
Code:
Cond17=(${Group.Injured[70]} >= 3)
[Heals]
HealsOn=1
HealsSize=7
Heals1=Gift of Resurrection|0|rez
Heals2=Shield Flash|35|Tap
Heals3=Lay on Hands|20
Heals4=Marr's Gift|20
Heals5=Hand of Piety|50|Tap
Heals6=Expiation|20|Tap
Heals7=Aurora of Morninglight|99|Tap|Cond17
AutoRezOn=1
AutoRezWith=Gift of Resurrection

I'll try and test it tonight or tomorrow to see if I can come up with anything

I tried to test around on my pally and I couldn't get this to cast. I tried manually casting with a mob targeted though and it worked fine. Can you tell us anymore about the situation you're seeing this happen? Are you grouped, tanking, etc? Also just as a sanity check, I noticed there's a Burst of Morrow spell too.. nothing is accidentally getting the two mixed up is it?

For what it's worth, I'm seeing the same thing w my shaman.

He uses this to heal:
Heals4=Gotikan's Mending|65

A scenario where I saw the spam today was as follows:

Two agro mobs are pulled into camp with no CC.
The shaman casts malo line (AA) on mob 1
The shaman casts turgur's insects (AA) on mob 1
He then began to spam the Gotikan's heal message while having mob 1 targeted.
Once mob 1 was dead and the tank moved to mob 2, the shaman began to behave normally

Still havent gotten this sorted. I was able to make it function "ok" by putting it in as a DPS instead of a heal but it basically just spams the heal every few casts regardless of whether anyone needs it (works okay for agro hold and generation though). I have been using it while grouped. It definitely works manually while having a mob targeted. I have noticed it does the same thing with Burst of Marrow when I have that labeled as tap as well.

What does ${Spell[Aurora of Morrow Rk. II].SpellType} return. When casting on an NPC the heal interrupt routine is looking for a Detrimental type spell. In the past a TAP type spell was a spellType of Detrimental. The spell Aurora of Morrow Rk. II is not returning Detrimental.

@ctaylor22 At the risk of necromancy in a paladin thread, to respond to the question:

What does ${Spell[Aurora of Morrow Rk. II].SpellType} return?

I checked the regular spell and it reports:

Beneficial

Still havent found anyway to get Kiss to allow this to cast with a mob targeted. Can cast it fine with a mob targeted when playing manually but KISS interrupts it everytime
