Problem - Problem using custom config on ultimate eq

I'm using the eq might config as a base and it was good until I got to where I needed to swap out songs as I started getting new ones beyond the scope of that config. Specifically I got the level 70 song "Fiery Requiem I" to replace Requiem of Time. So I checked out the faq and did the following:
1. Clicked Create Custom Config in the class tab
2. Navigated to that file (not the backup)
3. Added the new song above Requiem of time in the ['slowsong'] section using the same formatting
4. Saved the config then hit reload current config, then rescan loadout in-game

It then keeps the old song, am I doing something wrong?

Also, is there a way to make it show 12 spell slots? Looks like even the live config only shows 9 when I load that one.

Edit: found a post with a similar issue as this. Ran a rescan with log output set to debug...no mention of new song. Not in the spell gem loading part nor the missing spell search part. Checked the config to make sure the added line actually got saved, it did. Need to find more spells to check to see if it's just this one being a problem.

Did you change what config you had loaded in the drop-down? Or did you just hit reload with eq might selected?

I changed it to the bard config it created.

I don't know what you mean about 9 slots. The script will fill up all available gem slots with the spell list in the config.
You may need to select more options/spells to use.
For example, if you don't have slow enabled in the options, we won't memorize the slow spell. Bard is highly configurable because it spans numerous uses, and as you said, you are using a config tailored for another server.

Ultimately, if you still aren't seeing it, I would make sure you edited the correct file.
Custom configs are found in your MQ config directory (/config/rgmercs/class_configs)

So I ran into some issues with the custom spells there for either paladin or beastlord, the ancient spell at lvl 70 was memming over the custom level 70 spells so i just deleted the ancient spell from the list and it seems to have resolved that issue for me.
Is this the intended way? Probably not, but it got the right spells memmed for me.
