If you have a friend that's just starting EQ, or you'd like an alt for rezzes / buffs / heals or whatever, this is currently the best way to do it.
Required
1. High Level Class with lots of HP & Damage Shield Spell (60+ Bard or Druid works best) If you don't have one, ask a friend if you can borrow theirs. You'll only need it for a day or two.
2. The alt character must have an Area Effect spell or song. If not, the alt must hit every mob individually, which is still a good method, just a lot slower than AE.
Strategy
Basically damage shields aren't counted as damage by anyone. If a mob dies to nothing but a damage shield, it will disappear. If someone does one point of damage and the mob dies to damage shield, whoever did the 1 point of damage will get the XP and loot rights.
Instructions
This can be done in many zones, so our suggestions aren't set in stone.
Pull all of the undead pets in Toxx forest to the high level character (if you are using the high level character to pull, don't do damage to the mobs)
The high level character should now get aggro any way possible without doing damage. My high-level bard has an insta-cast regen item I spam on people to draw aggro. Other methods would be to buff the puller, heal the puller, or an Area Effect de-buff.
Once the high-level has aggro, he should sit down and let the mobs hit him while the damage shield does its work.
The low-level alt must hit all of the mobs once, without drawing aggro, and doing at least 1 point of damage. AE spells or songs are the best way to do this.
It should only take a few good pulls to get lvl 6. At that point you should take your little due to the butcherblock chess board and do the same thing with the pawns.
After that, Unrest is a good zone for the massive XP bonus and the fact that the high level doesn't need to sit down, aggro is easy to hold. Once you hit 20, head to Sol A and do goblins. At level 25 start pulling gnomes in Sol A until you hit 44. At this point your alt should have only 10 hours of /played time, depending on how powerful the main character's damage shield is. Sol B or Lower Guk from 44-50 should be no problem.
