PL'ing With a Bard.

Last nite I was fooling around with my bard and a new alt rogue that I have started and I have noticed that I was able to pl him with a lvl 70+ bard. Might be a narf or might have been posted all ready, but im going to post this little trick anyways for all of you out there. The one thing is that this is all about the right timing.

First thing was to group the two.

Second put on /follow for the alt so the bard follows the alt everywhere.

Third start twisting Anthem de Arms / Hymm of Restoration / Psalm of Warmth.

Once all three songs are on your alt toon start attacking. Once the mob is around 20% or less disband group and let the alt finish off the mob and reinvite and do this over and over again.

In 30 mins I gained 10 lvls just fooling around. Once the alt gets little bit higher than you can start switching up different types of songs to twist and keep lvling your toon quick.

Unless you're above level 50 that is a whole lot of work when there is an easier way.

Use DS, AoE snare, aoe mana reduct, and haste with more DS songs. Depending on the strength of your bard you should put out close to 200 in DS damage.

Just gather a train of like mobs or mobs that don't run when low hp and play the AoE songs with no damage to build agro. Have your alt smack each mob for damage once and then turn on the DS portion. Took a ranger form 1-50 in 7ish hours of mild work.

Selo's Assonant Strain comes to mind. Generates a nice amount of agro for what you want to use it towards.

Selo's Assonant Strain, Denon's Dissension, and Largo's Melodic Binding as well as playing aoe regen and aoe resists. The more people your power leveling the more effective the aoe buffs help since you get agro for each person you buff each tick.

This works great! I noticed Mantisknight stated he was able to get his DS close to 200, my bard is currently 70, i twist psalm of veeshan and one of the haste buffs cant remember the name, anyways i seem to cap out at 89 DS. Is there anything else i should throw in my twist?

Make sure you check what instrument modifier your DS songs are using and have them equiped to get the most for your DS songs .. that might increase your DS from 89 to a little higher .. they make a big difference.

Anyone who plays a bard should have there 1.0, its very easy to get. I max stats everytime I toot my horn with my aa's and insturments. I hit 175 ds with 68haste and plasm. if your lacking AA's I would suggest running the TBS scouting mac from Captian Pete. I never thought to PL with my bard I am going to give it a shot today, unless MQ2 gets up and running.

You need a horn for War March (ds) you'll want to get the item voice of the serpent for the singing skill buff, if you can't get it, there's a singing skill buff song, you can twist in.
with those 3 your ds can get upwards of 250 (depending on the level of the bard, skill level, items, songs, etc.)

thats fine and dandy if you like doing a lot of work. BUT here is what ya do with a 70+ bard
head to netherbain lair.
turn on AE slow and train EVERY netherbain (they dont run at low hp if other mobs with them, the other mobs will)
stand in a corner with your back to them so you dont kill em all reposting.
take rog and toggle npc and hit every mob once. after you have hit every mob turn on Veeshans for the DS and start sitting down repetadly.
10 lvls in 30 mins? try lvl 1 to 25 in about 45 mins and i was slacking cus i was pling GFs zerker at the same time.

i doubt with just a bard u can go 1-50 in 7 hours since i've used my SK + Druid+ cleric+ bard to pl a toon and it took longer than 7 hours pulling trains in the hole while it was a hot zone. You group the 70+ cleric druid sk and bard, and u can get the sk's ds to about 300+ use the AoE agro spell u get at 70 to hold agro and stick a non weapon in primary so u don't riposte at all. and just whack each mob once. You can level to about 60 int he hole this way and it will take around 12-14 hours +, it's relatively fast, from 60+ up i just stick the toon in a 70+ group and let him leach exp.

I had a druid enc bard cleric shaman sk PLing chars think it took around 16 hours to get a group of 5 ranger 1-50 velks is pretty good place too if your SK has the ac those mobs just don't hit that hard. When they go to 50 I put them in a group with my top rog and pulled trains from velks castle and had my 4 rogs assist the warrior stuff died pretty fast.

Ahh the days when I did 10k dps with my hydras.

Don't forget to use Skinspike potions. This will add 20+ points to your DS and stacks with all your songs. Also, if you can get a druid/wiz/mage or type one clickie (e.g. blazing vambraces) DS that also stacks with song DS's and Skinspike potions. Also, make sure you have the best damn brass instrument you can get to max out your DS.

Thats not true, i did 1 to 50 in roughly 5 hours with the Throw stone ability, on a lvl 1 drakkin monk *also the AE breath* and a 75 bard and 75 druid both with well over 10k unbuffed hp..

-Edit, this was done in CoM btw... pulling roughly up to locked door in 2-3 pulls.... each time

lvl'd a bard from 1 - 55 in about 6 hours with a pally. Could also use a mage doesnt matter. Bards and wizzies are easiest to PL anyway.

Take your bard, get the best damn horn you can, get skinspikes and any other type 1 DS (i.e. druid or wiz ds). Max out your IM aa's and your DS should be over 200. Start a level 1 cleric and get him to 9. Group him with your PLee and use his PB aoe spell. Now, go to unrest and pull the entire yard with HoS. Generate some aggro with your PB slows then have the cleric sneak in and cast his weakest PB aoe. Rinse and repeat with the mansion. You'll hit 20+ in like 15 minutes. Next go to Timorous deep and find the fallen deckhands. Apply the same strategy. You'll hit 30 in less than an hour. If you have warp, then warp back and forth between the two camps while waiting for repops (or you can also run back and forth with selo's song of travel but it's a pain). Lastly, go to Dulak and find the area with a house and some drogs and shrooms outside (one of the drogs is an epic1.5 mob so avoid him). Pull all the drogs, then all the shrooms, then the outside guards, the left room, then the right room of the house. Use the same strategy. By the time you finish the house the drogs will start to repop. These mobs are all social so only the last one will run (but makes sure you only pull one type at a time). You can do this to 50 in like a couple hours. Oh yes, and on the lower level mobs you have to sit so they can smack you and kill themselves on your DS.
