cant figure out how to even make 150k a day, currently im running 105 bard,warrior,cleric,necro. bard and warrior both have TBM others have up to TDS. and another thing is how are you people getting cotf rares and such? off of which mobs im sitting here trying to and I haven't for 4 days now. If anyone has a good "safe" spot for my group to camp comment below, just put in thought theirs an ass hat that runs around and such looking for people. I go to common places and hes always their watching me.
At work might not answer right away any help is appreciated.
 
Ultra rares are ultra rares for a reason. I actually had 2 UR's and one Purity of Chastity within 15 minutes in TDS once, but they more commonly drop every 10-15'000 mobs or so (estimated guess). Tradeskill items are a good way to make lot of money, or just farming expansion tokens (remnants of tranquility go for about 50-100p each on FV, not sure if they are vendorable anywhere else) and I can easily make 50k remnants a day.
 
Also if your goal is steady plat intake you are going to want to be farming for frequent drops. Older zones with good diamond drop rate and cash drops with relatively fast respawn a or high mon density are best bets for sustained earnings.
 
The only way I make 150k is over a weekend (not a day) and usually it's with collections or tradeskill items on a trader in the bazaar. Befouled silks and pelts, tainted feathers, relic fragments, etc.
 
You could split them up. Send all 6 chars to different solo spots. Can easily pull in 40-50k easily a day in vendor trash per toon in almost any mid level zone. That'd be 300k per day and you are a bit more inconspicuous as a single character.
Move around a bit. I've got a few out of the way spots with a vendor close to camp so I just run em over empty bags and start auto farm over again.
Biggest challenge I have is keeping food and drink on chars.
 
for what it is worth, I have on again-off again luck selling mage pet toy packs in the bazaar. Sell top level packs for 2k, mask for 1k... every few days someone buys me out. Depending on how many toons I load up ( I just fill up the empty places) and if someone is trying to undercut me (usually the only dude selling, since it uses up valuable bazaar space) I can make 50-500k a night. Folk buy it through parcel, so it stays there waiting when they need it at what ever convenient parcel vendor.

Or as was suggested before, load up on TS bags/big capacity bags, then turn loose in lower levels zones. Put the TS bags in your upper main slots to filter that stuff out, and soak up a mess of stuff. The TS stuff can go for decent amounts, especially if you have large quantities of it (or there is always the barter crowd to sell to on the fly)

Can always work on tradable drop gear. Right now RoF T1 stuff/CotF T1 armor been selling decently, though you have to maintain a decent stockpile to make it worthwhile. I honestly make more cash selling mage toys then that stuff... but hey if you happen to be working toons up that can get XP on that content... no harm in collecting drop gear while XPing =)

Most days I have to consider buying bigger bags to hold all the gems I get, not sure why anyone is ever short on plat.

LOOK UP ANY ZONE THAT DROPS DIAMOND OR BLUE DIAMONDS AND GO FUCKING FARM THERE!

How many times do I have to tell people, you can find a level 80-95 zone that you can kill in that drops those and make around 200k a day in trash, I do it all the freaking time!

Of course I don't fuck around with classes that don't max my profit, war, cler, chanter or bard, wiz, wiz, wiz.... no waste on mercs and max on damage. But don't take my word for it, I have no plat... lmao! mwahahahahahaa!

If you are just trying to get rares, that is a numbers game, they are a set drop percent so ya just gotta kill in the zones that they are available in and kill a lot! There is no magic mob for them.
 
What Razkle said, there are tons of zones 50-95 which drop gems/plat/cash items. In the old days before /advloot you had to create your own loot routines, but now it is so easy with /advloot .

Just an example: I was making 100k+ a day basically killing a few mobs slowly in one of the HoT zones (not Grounds! Grounds has decent plat drops but is not suitable because of traffic).

You can do much better than that. Basically, find an empty zone and destroy it and see what advloot gives you (hint MQ2Items gives you sellback prices when you right click on the item under Value:)

3x 85 mobs will give more plat than 1 105 mob.
 
For instance my group of 3 (no mercs) in morels gets me over a mill a week in vendor trash, every week! I use them to pl 3 toons at a time while making me PLAT! This last week it was 1.3mil in pure trash and 400k in sellable drops, as in SOLD the drops too!
 
another handy thing to farm, gear for under lvl 80, i don't know about other servers but on Drinal there is rarely every any gear for under lvl 85, spending a few hours in a 65-75ish zone can net you a chunk of vendor trash, especially diamonds and blues, as well as ores, silks and pelts and those sell in the bazaar for quite a bit depending on what else is out there for those skilling up tradeskills. and as a bonus you can net a few handy items that can sell for a decent amount to the right person

Easy Peasy
Group 1 Morells Castle
Group 2 The beach (morels castle)
Group 3 Not tellin, my secret hunting grounds..... but 2mil is low for a week there....

I cannot say this enough times, there are 2 magic words in plat farming! BLUE & DIAMOND.... look where they drop from the most mobs in a single zone and go the highest level zone you can kill very fast in and you WILL make plat! It is not Rocket Surgery! lol

The sweet spot is a large area with tons of mobs that are all light blue or green to you, fast kills = fast cash! I do it with 3 man teams, 4 man teams and even a 6 man team, no fucking mercs, that is wasting the plat you are after! I guess I will have to start selling pre-made Box Teams in the Baz!

I could be interested in a pre-made BOT team. Razkle has inspired to try and set up a team to farm with on my own. Yesterday they made it level 52 after a run through Lichen Creep. I wanted to play with shadow knight so team will be SK, monk, cleric, enchanter, wizard, wizard. Had to keep the monk, so far my monks are better dps then my wizards and really wanted a druid in there but...

Anyway, what I really need is good camp in zone my team can handle at level 80ish with crap equipment. Someday I will have an uber team of high levels. My highest character just made 95, sigh.
 
ive got a 100 monk and 87 sham im lookin to afk farm while im afk. nothing major just hoping to get a few mill a month really anything lil to help with kronos.

currently im trying the grounds with 100 healer merc and 87 tank merc. monk is pulling mobs to camp while sham just slows and nukes. it seems to work fine but after a while i get overrun and die. i think i just need to find a better spot in the zone to setup camp so i cant pull too many mobs and kill myself.

any other spots/tactics that could fit what im trying to do? the grounds seems like a good place for gems and plat trash items with little traffic

FASTEST way to the beach is have a rogue and wiz or mage - have the caster attack something at the start of the zone, have the rogue hide/sneak and drag his corpse to the boat.... Then rez him with rez token - have him bind and then teleport bind the group to the beach...
