So i have been hearing some rumors about another PL spot with mages other then beaming anyone wanna share the details =D

Doubt with the nerf it will be as affective as beaming, unless you have a full group of mages.

But if there is a new trick in town I am all ears 😎

I wonder if some combination of deflection/weaponshield and PBAOE spells would still get it done. Obviously you'd need a PL group built for it, though.

I mean... you can always do the old school way. a couple of enchanters, 4-5 mages/wizzies and a cleric or two. Put the PLee in the mage/qizzy group and pull the whole zone.

Do enchanter AE stuns still hit max targets? I assumed there was something which prevented the old chardok-style AE groups from happening anymore.

If that's the case, 2 enchanters, 1 cleric, 2-3 mage/wiz, and a puller who can FD is how they do it on P99. Cleric heals the puller once they get to camp, then puller FDs and the cleric DA tanks the swarm until all mobs are in camp and the encs start permastun and call nukes.

yea i was thinking AOE stun group from my days in seb! some one on my server is going to show me a new trick. says its faster then beaming....

The only thing preventing chanter stuns now is that they have level limits. (As far as I know anyway). And the chanter(s) really don't need to be in the group since they do 0 damage. If your cleric is good enough to heal outside the group, you can maximize dps with 5 PBAE casters and the PLee in one group to make things go faster.

EDIT: Also, they have increased the number of stun-immune mobs, so there will be a good place to do this and many bad places I'd assume...

In a zone with a 20 min + repop, burn timers can be used on zerks and/or wizards/mages along with a deflection to hold them long enough to die. Are the wizard self-destruction PBAE spells unlinked?

PBAEs whether it's enchanter stuns or wizard pbae's only hit about 100 mobs... However, if you're going after dark blues or higher mobs the chances of successfully being able to pull more than 100 and kill them all is rather slim to begin with.

I'm thinking VOA T4-ish mobs might be optimal, with about 1 mil hp each to burn through. Maybe SS/MC HoT if not?

Why do they only hit about 100 mobs? I was under the impression that they didn't have a target cap. Is there some other mechanics problem that causes this?

Even if this is gonna work on VoA T4 mobs, this is in no way a faster way then beaming.... just saying =)

Like AnonymousHero said, the changes this is gonna work on darkblue or higher are very slim.

I think the cap is something insanely high like 104 mobs... Usually it's impossible to pull that many mobs before you lose a bunch or whatever. Most big pulls were always something like 60-80 mobs. However keep in mind that 60-80 x 1% a kill and yeah.

I don't think it's mentioned anywhere on the boards here, but you can try the Working Overtime task. One of the variations has you to collect pollen; clicking on a purple flower spawns 10 'a nibbling mole' and they only hit around 600 points or so. You can get the task, click each of 8 (I think) flowers and wipe out the mobs. Then drop the task and re-get it.

The requirements are 2 other Heroic Adventures and its average-level spread limited. But its a nice way to PL toons that are at level 85 and higher. It just takes a lot of zoning, and not being too bored doing it over and over (and over and over  )
