Okay, this might fall into a major grey area but I checked the rules and I don't think this counts as warez or service theft. I've done this more than once and unbanning my account is not the only thing you can do with proper phracking.

Phracking is using the phone and lying your ass off to get what you need done. Here is a simple phrack that will get your account unbanned if timed properly.

"My 14 year old son evidently got some hacking software e-mailed to him and used it and got MY account banned." Play it to the end of the earth, you are a professional, an adult, and a gamer who has enjoyed Everquest for blah blah years now, you belong to a guild, you play twelve hours a week, you are respected in the community, maybe you're a raid leader and it's important that you log on. Add all your twists to it but make very clear that YOU, the person who BUYS the expansions and PAYS FOR the subsciptions did not do anything wrong no matter what a GM or tracking system states, your underage son who EULA says can use this software, THEY did so and they will no longer have access to your account, blah blah blah.
 
This use to work, got an account unbanned a year - year and half ago using this approach. Have to figure that it is probably getting old lol...you will probably get the following response "sure, we will be glad to un-ban your account once you send us your 14 year old's birth certificate, family photos proving the child is yours and three references" haahaha
 
All of which could easily be forged since they don't know what you look like, if you have a single friend in a hospital you can get one of those crappy birth certificates that mean nothing with the stupid foot print that most people think is the real birth certificate but really isn't...but I do realize it was a joke, even though someone might decide to approach it in such a way hehe.

But yea, I'm sure they are getting tired of hearing it, but thankfully its not their job to decide if they are tired of hearing the same excuse of bad parenting, rude siblings, or mean friends. All of which i have pulled and gotten many accounts unbanned/unsuspended while in the middle of an investigation, and so forth. Yes, it works, but no you shouldn't try if you weren't smart enough to think of it on your own since you probably wont be imaginative enough to make it work.

This isn't the only way, this is just an example, what I wanted people to know about was the phracking principle. The early days of hacking was a glorious one and the intelligence agencies were determined to secure their systems from people who knew more about computer technology than their own agents so they hired hacking comminuties to test their systems. One day they wanted to test their system at Department of Defence or Pentagon or something and the person who got in the fastest was a phracker, not a hacker. She used the telephone, called the systems administrator pretending she was his boss and these computers are such a pain in the ass, that it wasn't taking her password, yes she's god damn sure she's using the right password she has it stickied to her monitor, long story short he told her the password. She then called another desk saying she was this system administrator's assistant and needed to record the mac addresses of each desk, had the person flip over her box, read off the number and thank you very much have a nice day. Long story shorter, she got into this network in under five minutes.

phracking is actually the hacking of phones such as free cell phone service, triangulating your ex girlfriends phone(or in kevin mitnicks case getting the feds stuck on you by a fellow hacker) and so on.

social engineering is the politically correct term for a con artist... still works real well too. had a monk account a friend got banned.he wrote a letter saying he was off in irak and a friend was keeping up account and had used hacks not to his knowing. got account unbanned shortly after.
 
The hacking of phones for long distance calls etc was referred to as Phreaking.

Yea, this is the correct term.

Good example is in the movie Hackers, Dave Murphy aka Zerocool calls the security guy"who dont know anythign about computers" gets the modem number from the guy at the tv station, and takes over whats on the tube.
 
Actually I tried this once, its against the EULA to let anyone else play your account, personally i don't think this will work too well. The CSR's for ban department are basically paid to tell you no and get you off the phone so you don't bother anyone else. My advice would be email a GM who actually has some pull in the decision such as Dean Graf, or some other GM, just make sure its not the one who banned you. Just my two cents.
 
It's against the EULA to let anyone outside of your immediately family play your account - however parents of minor children pay for the account, and their children are able to play. I think that's what the original post intended to state; you can get accounts unbanned if you blame it on your non-existent children.

Nope you cant let anyone play, you can pay for your kids, but then you cant play it, there EULA states only 1 person can play an account.

I have a accout for both my son and daughter and when you sign them up you have to aggree to NOT ues their account. the saying someone else was using your account will get it perma banned. But what you can do Is say someone stole your account (Questionable in morals) that might work :rolleyes:
 
Well you could have a mass of small claims court for the funds that are not returned to you for the money SOE retained. Once you no longer have access to your account by SOE's choice, I am pretty sure they have to refund your unused funds. Course it would cost to file the claim for such a small amount, but times that by 1000 and this would be a serious cost to SOE in the long run. The cost would not be worth my time, unless I had payed for several account for a yearly price. Yea, it was social engineering in the old days. ^) Those were the good old days when people took pride in good coding.
 
fatal wins :) lol yeah phrack had the autistic guy who was arrested lol. though phreaking doesnt always mean hacking of long distance calls. thats just where it started. its a far bigger art than just tones for dimes and nickels anymore.

This is the best working system for GK'n
You level up monk , get prepared to GK, when ready to fug the server up hacking like crazy, you use a laptop and wireless connection, start hacking, rape server and report your monk stolen,,, the ip address that the wireless leaves behind is un trackable, also, its NOT, your IP, so they have prooof, its not you, LOL but in reality it is you, and your raping them,, Now, if you get banned thats fine also, the information they get, looks like your telling truth, Now, before you hack and get banned, offload all gear hacked onto other toons, leave mnk with shit, if hes banned, you lose nothing but also, if you unload everything before they catch the stolen account hacker, you can get a partial reset also, and get all that gear too..

Your welcome for this info, it works like a charm but, only a few times as how many accounts can be stolen at one ip address, best to share friends making monks and do once and a while, or always use laptops and wireless and they got no IP to point any fingers at and no info about whos where logging in what account, the ip is made up differnt everytime you log on wireless, its why so many scam are on ebay also, the wireless ip is un trackable and cant find the guy who just scammed you )
No i dont do it on ebay, its a top federal crime and people get cught due to GPS in their phones even though they didnt know its there, SOE aint gonna send out tracking on IP wireless phones for GPS location, lol

Perma banned accounts, btw one of our monks was permabanned, dont ever TALK to us again about this account the GM said 4 times, and the account isnt banned anymore after ten days, FV server, Why i dunno, the owner just tried to log in, and hes in, he didnt mention hacking his account ot get it back, so, if YOUR NICE WHEN BUSTED, they can be nice also, DO NOT SWEAR AT GM's EVER, if you do, your just stupid and dont deserve your account back anyhow, if you make someone mad, anyway what so ever, your done, so think, before you speak, most GM dont give two shits about hacks, but its their job to enforce the cuaght people....
 
The EULA clearly states you must be 18 or older to play. If you let your Kid play, you have admitted to violating the EULA. CS reps are not stupid, they KNOW your using MQ2! You want your account unbanned? Be honest and very very very nice to them and pitifully apologetic. You will get it back because they want their money.
 
Sallyjoe we just talked about this, you can let your kids play as long as your a guardian that is paying for it.
 
Well, here is a little story on how this worked for me, I had an account that I had to verify belonged to me after my sister returned to Afrika to college they assigned the account to me, I "somehow lent it" to a friend becuase I could not pay to keep it up & his mother ended up getting the account supperbanned, I made 3 phonecalls over the course of three weeks. on the third call I referred off handidly to the trouble the new Emails S.O.E. had just assigned for internal use, & he chuckled & had the account ready to go in 5 minutes.
 
WOWs EULA states you can let a member of family (just one) play on your acc also
