Hi,

I turned off MQ2 labels (I forget exactly how I did this, but there was a thread about it somewhere), because I wasn't able to turn PC and pet names off in game, which was getting very frustrating.

Now I can turn them off, but anytime a new player or pet zones in, their name is displayed until I toggle the option again in EQ options. Anybody else have a similar issue/know a fix? Thank you!

If you want to change caption for the pet section this is how i do it inside macroquest.ini to hide pet names

This is under the [Captions] section in that macroquest.ini which is in your MQ2 --> Release folder

Old-Code
Pet=${If[${NamingSpawn.Mark},${NamingSpawn.Mark} - ,]}${If[${NamingSpawn.Assist},>> ,]}${NamingSpawn.DisplayName}${If[${NamingSpawn.Assist}, - ${NamingSpawn.PctHPs}%<<,]}

New Code
Pet=${If[${NamingSpawn.Mark}, - ,]}

Thanks, hopefully that will help out a bit with the pets. Any idea what I can do about every PC name popping up when a player zones in?

Still encountering the same issue. Any other fixes out there?
IMO, you should turn back on mq2labels, and just change the macroquest.ini for the pet to hide the pet names and use the alt-o in game options to turn off if you want character names
That's what i do here
