Hey I am that guy who loves to grind but know the importance of Partisan task… just coming back and have a lot of progression to figure out. What is the best way to accomplish partisan task?

That's too broad a question. The sheer volume of the tasks and the individual requirements makes answering you impossible. In general, you need a group that doesn't suck, which is leveled, geared, and AAed appropriately. It helps if you coordinate mercenary and general group missions along side your partisan tasks and complete them in the correct order. I understand that there was an issue with a lot of bugs but I don't know if that's been resolved. The only other thing I could say is to use resource boards/forums for information and tips. I don't know, but surely there are probably some walk-throughs posted here somewhere. Hope that helps.

I am curious what you think the importance of Partisan tasks are? It also takes mercenary tasks to get the Heroic AA and progress thru expansions.

I just do which ever, mercenary or partisan, in what ever expansion strikes my fancy that play time. Or if there is a bonus that ties in with what I am doing, like increased rare spawns.

Some players will take expansion by expansion and finish that way. It all starts with COTF.

I use eqresource as a reference.

"How to do the quest" is a pretty weird question.

Follow the steps until you complete it

Make sure to grab all the mercenary quests you can and then work on the partisan lines. Often times you'll complete most of not all of the mercs while you're doing the partisans

Use EQ Resource like said above and make a goal to complete 1 a day or whatever your playing style can dictate. that way the content stays fresh. I hate when I fall away and forget where I was working.

When I finally started working on Hero's Vitality, Resolution, and Fortitude, I found this page: https://everquest.fanra.info/wiki/Hero's_Special_AAs. So I went to COTF's beginner zone, and using https://eqresource.com/ (as @Sic said), click on the +Older Expansion on the left, choose Call of the Forsaken, and click first zone Ethernere Tainted West Karana (on the left, bottom), then at the top of the new page click (I use the) Quests and Missions (By quest name)t and start with the merc quests, then the partisan, then the group. Once the zone is complete, go to the next. Rinse repeat. I would actually read the text and descriptions while talking with the NPC's and I found it really immersive. It was a nice change from Hail the NPC, say a word, kill the thing. I actually experienced the expansions as I worked through CoV over a 2 year'ish timeframe. Your play time, style, and goals will help determine how fast you get through things. And how close you are to the level of the expansion, and the level of your toons, gear, and AA.
Speaking of AA, I used to get the new cap in an expansion, and then grind the AA. Now I get 10-15% into level, and then turn AA to 100%. Grind the AA, and then continue on to the next level. It gives me a break and I get to see actual progression. YMMV.
