So, I've not received an inject fail for a little while, but I'm still getting this "Parameter is incorrect" crash quite frequently (after updating mq2 to todays patch). I attempted to start up windbg to grab a crash dump, but that actually is not an option, because the crash occurs before a PID is assigned to the executable. I'm able to systematically replicate the error however, with consistent results, so here's at least one way that causes the error:

I have 7 installs of EQ, each one runs a specific account. I start each one up sequentially, always waiting until each one gets to the Daybreak login screen, where you click on play, because I've had cross account login issues in the past if I do not. If I get all 7 to that point where I can click on play for each of them, and do so in rapid succession one after the other, I will get every single instance to crash except the first one loaded and the last one loaded.

If I load each one to character select individually before I start another process I do not believe I've had it crash yet.

I have another crash error that has occurred in the past when I was camping out, which may be related, but I haven't been in game enough since the latest patch to verify it still occurs, although it's possible it's related as I camp to desktop with /bcaa //camp desktop so they're all hitting back to that point plus/minus a short interval.

  1. Run your accounts without MacroQuest2 loaded, the crash may be caused by EverQuest itself.
  2. Make sure compatibility settings are off on both EverQuest and Macroquest2 (right click the exe/shortcut -> properties -> compatibility)
  3. Rename/backup eqclient.ini in your EverQuest directory and let EQ make a fresh one.
  4. Exit out of any graphics card, overclocking, antivirus, and EQ-related programs such as Innerspace or WinEQ.
  5. Use the default UI
  6. If available, try to recreate the crash on a different PC.
  7. Post the plugin section of your macroquest.ini, there may be a plugin that's causing your crash. If you have MQ2EQWire or MQ2SlotColors, make sure they're updated manually.

I had the same problem, removed MQ2Vendors and all went good, i might help you if you go through all other plugins that you don't need.

Same problem - removed Mq2Vendors but gave me the same issue. I'll try the steps above...
