Question - Paladin Aurora oddness

I have a paladin that is casting Aurora of Morrow (level 80 paladin smart heal) when he should not be. I have his ini set to Heals2=Aurora of Morrow|75 and he is casting it when he is at 98% life. No one else in the group has taken damage. Any ideas why this might be happening?

1) I guess no one uses Paladins! Regardless, this is still occurring. I changed the line to Heals2=Aurora of Morrow|75|Group and it still starts casting way to early.

2) Also, something else that is odd is that for some reason, when it casts Aurora, it targets me. Aurora is a group heal and it does not require you to have a target to do its thing. Any ideas why either of these things are happening?

3) A third thing that seems to be happening that really causes issues is that if the paladin casts this spell, he targets himself and then keeps them targeted for the rest of the fight and wont reassist the MT. I have tried it with targetswitching=0 and also 1. This behavior occurs with both settings.

I double checked. It is not in the buff or combat section. The only other place Aurora occurs is in the Spells and Myspells section.

Just for completeness, I am posting his entire ini. A few more observations to give more data. I am not sure that the problem detailed in 3) above is associated with Aurora only because the very same thing happens when he casts Solemn Cleansing. He targets the person needing the heal, casts the HoT, then keeps them targetted instead of reassisting the MA. This is why I commented Solemn Cleansing out below, but then the Aurora targeting takes over and does the same thing.

Here is the complete ini:

I think it has something to do with it being the entry with the highest HP's being checked. Try changing:

Heals4=Aurora of Morrow|85|Group
Heals5=Wave of Absolution|75

to:

Heals4=Aurora of Morrow|75|Group
Heals5=Wave of Absolution|85

and see if Wave of Absolution becomes the spell he casts.

What about that ; in front of heals 1? I don't think that should be there.

Any heal spell I put in my pally ini causes the pally to target the main tank but follow the mob like it's attacking, but not. Take the heal spells out and everything works.

Yes, melee is on, Pally will try to melee with the MA targeted when heals are active. He is out side of the group, but haven't tried with him in the group.

So, I threw him in the group with the main tank / MA and working as intended. So something bugged with paladin being outside the group assisting the Main Tank.

This did not change anything. He still targets himself and casts Aurora of Morrow. He never casted Wave before it in a bunch of fights.

The ; comments out the spell. I have it commented out because it is hogging all my mana. Also whenever the casts the HoT, he never reassists the tank...

This is my experience too, except it is only the Heal over time spells or Aurora that causes this. The fast instant heals seem to work fine. This is in the same group as the tank, the tank, main assist and puller are all set.

@Jalerian Have you given KA 12 a try on your Pally? Your KA 11.005 ini file will work with KA 12. Just make a copy of your files, because KA 12 will move some sections around in your ini file. There were changes made in KA 12 that fixed some targeting issues.
