Overseer Automation

Release Overseer Automation (5 Viewers) 1.9

No permission to download
Just minor correction to the section. Rewards needs a tweak:

Setting index = 2 means: "Get Tetradrachm, if avail, else Character Experience".
(or Index=1 to just get the currency.

INI:
[Rewards]
index=2
1=Overseer Tetradrachm
2=Character Experience
3=Mercenary Experience

If you want it to purchase like Overseers Tetradrachm's so I can get my rez stick is there a way to set it to do that?

Rez stick?

Edit: Ah, the brew, I'm assuming. You do need to pass the appropriate raids + Naggy & Vox monster missions to unlock it. But otherwise, gotcha.

Hummm! 4 days ago I was showing a percentage to character exp. This has only happend since the update on the Jan 1st. I was just wondering if something in the update could cause this to happen.

Zeb
take screen pics. I thought i had some unexplained aa's on my guys. I thought overseer character exp went straight to level exp and was not affected by aa's slider. Was you aa slider on and did you have your mercs out?

The exp should be unaffected by the AA slider.
And since a few patches ago, merc will receive the same exp whether suspended or not.

I haven't noticed what you're describing on any char (some low, some high, etc) but will look more specifically for this.

overseer has stopped working for me since patch, starts to run, beeps and then pauses
I haven't seen this. Have run twice on at least 7 different characters with no issue.

Do you have more information? Is this a character that's been using Overseer for some time, or new? Is there any output in the MQ window?

1642648465740.png
get this on 6 toons, been running overseer since it started. Launcher, macros and plugins all updated and just switched to Next

On a fresh install of MQ2 mine stopped to Claim the rewards.
And yes I do know that the reward system does not work 100% :) But for me it used to work.

Solved: It help to do the conf ;)

I downloaded the latest overseer macro, cleared old ini files, but now it wont auto reward collection dispensers anymore..i changed ini files for all toons, even set claimreward =0, but it still auto rewards expereince? anyone have any ideas?

1. If you have a default "Overseer.ini" and the flag exists "useCharacterConfigurations" = "0", then it's not using character configuration but this one.

2. Paste one of your configurations here, if you don't mind.

Make sure you only have the ini files in either config or macros, if both places you may be looking at the wrong one.

If ClaimRewards is 0, it should *never* claim the rewards. It will [Complete] the Overseer quest, but leave it in the rewards window.

To claim Collection Item Dispensers, you need ClaimRewards = 1 and

[Rewards] index = 1
Index is how many you want to use so this should be 1 to only use Collection Item Dispenser, or 2 to have that and Experience where appropriate.

Thanks, ill change to index is 1 then for now…i did have claim reward on 0 but it still auto claimed :) ill check all inis and change to index is 1, thanks for your reply!

Currently having an issue with getting it to constantly run. Before after it ended it would say that next overseer check is in XXX Time. now it just ends and i have to go through and run it again when the time comes and or manually check for the times.

I would check to see if you have another macro running, or plugin/Lua that requires a macro to be running. mine runs continuously as long as something else isn't interfering with it

One other option is if the flag indicating how to repeat was changed:

Code:
[General]
repeatTimeMinutes=-1

Value of repeatTimeMinutes dictates how it restarts:
  • -1 == restart when the next quest is available
  • 0 == do not restart at all. Just end with "Ending Macro." text
  • > 0 == automatically restart X minutes after ending
Check that your value is not 0.

This is my current Overseer.ini
The only toon i dont run this on is the bard because of KA. But all others are running CWTN and have no other mac running.

I have a strange effect, my config is

[Rewards]
index=4
1=Collection Item Dispenser
2=Character Experience
3=Mercenary Experience
4=Claws of Veeshan

and he takes from time to time tradeskill items fomr

Seeds of Destruction

despite I never use it.

Has anybody a clue why he jumps over Character Experience?

I can try to experiment to see why that is the case. That does sound odd.

However a much safer answer would be to change your entry to only process the first two. EVERY Overseer Reward has Character Experience so there should never be a case where Mercenary Experience comes to play.

By making index=2, worst case is it skips Character Experience and leaves that item up. You can manually click or it'll grab it next time around.

I personally have never seen this before, that is odd. If you do make this change and it leaves an entry up, I'd be curious for a screen shot of that reward.

Code:
[Rewards]
index=2
1=Collection Item Dispenser
2=Character Experience
3=Mercenary Experience
4=Claws of Veeshan

To verify, this is your "Overseer.ini"? So you run this same INI on all characters.

When the macro ends on its own logic, it displays: "Ending Macro." in orange text.

Are you seeing this? Or is it just displaying the standard MQ "The macro has ended" in white?

When the macro ends on its own logic, it displays: "Ending Macro." in orange text.

I normally end the macro, i simply let it run for the night. to gather different tradeskill items, I liked to e.g. use the line "Claws of Veeshan" (... Artizans Prize is a pita).

This is how the last cycle looked - ending it after a couple of hours with /endmac and had SoD tradeskill stuff littering the inventory.

Are you seeing this? Or is it just displaying the standard MQ "The macro has ended" in white?

mh.. I don't see any end cycle. I run that on a couple of accounts. I searched all who got Sod TS stuff (its ALWAYS the first tradeskill option) and there are a couple of error message, perhaps that helps:

1643768301733.png
I found this on a couple of toons who got that tradeskill option.

The questions about macro ending were for a different thread.

For yours, I don't see that it would ever get Mercenary Experience or Claws of Veeshan - as every reward has a Character Experience option.
The [Rewards] section says, take them in order, whichever you see first, get.

I can't see how it ever got Seeds of Destruction, but I also can't see how it ever got Claws of Veeshan. Something odd. So my suggestion to just say index=2, would ensure that you only get Collection Item or Character Experience for sure.

Many thanks Durango/Sic. Thought I cared about that issue but oversaw a name. *bow*.

@GoldenFrog:
Thank you. I will dig a bit into it. But so far I will stop the autoclaim. I always used Character Experience and Collection Item Dispenser. My future plans where getting tradeskill items for artisans prize, that was the reason why I included the last lines but you are right. It is a logical error from my side. Nevertheless it jumps sometimes (sporadically) into that SoD-Tradeskill-Routine. I assume it has to do with that lines. I will look a bit deeper into it.

I just figured out what the Conversion was about is there a way to set the ini to run just conversions over a over?

If you have a ton of agents, just running the script should do conversions until no more can succeed. Just running this for days on end after that will have no benefit I can think of.

To accomplish this regardless, ensure 3 flags are set:

Code:
[General]
ignoreConversionQuests=0
questSelectionType=Exp
minimumQuestExperience=100.0

This says to only run quests that give more than 100% exp. Since the highest I've ever seen is around 3%, no quests will run. It will only do conversions every rotation.

This srarted happening on one of the toons I run.

WARNING: Undefined Variable CWTN used on line [email protected] /declare rewardDescription string ${Window[RewardSelectionWnd/RewardPageTabWindow].Tab[${questName}].Child[RewardSelectionDescriptionArea].Text}

Same machine, macro, MQ2 install, EQ install, 1 out of my 4 characters gets this error. Deleted the mac, ini's, anything I could find with Overseer in it and reinstalled. Same 3 characters work, while 1 received this error message.

Any ideas?

something is trying to use the Variable CWTN and the macro is picking up the problem, maybe you are trying to display something with you HUD and you dont have the CWTN plugin running?

As Robban said, this isn't the Overseer macro at all but something else happening while it is running. HUD or hotbutton or a /bca or Dannet message coming in or something like that.

Apparently, the error was related to not having the MQ2Reward plugin loaded.

Edit: Macro worked for the first cycle and then after that it stopped working again. Still my 3 other characters work just fine.

WARNING: Undefined Variable CWTN used on line [email protected] /if (${Window[OverseerWnd].Child[OW_OverseerActiveQuestsPage].Child[OW_AQP_CompletedLabel].Text.Find[10 / 10]}) {
Macro Paused.

Through a lot of disabling and reloading of crap. It ended up something to do with MQ2DanNet plugin. As soon as I unloaded DanNet I was able to run the macro without an issue.

Now the question is what inside of DanNet would be causing this type of issue...

Have a toon with over 900 common overseer agents, how do I run the macro to convert them all without crashing 4 or 5 conversions in?
