Release Overseer Automation 1.9

An issue I'm seeing...

In my config, I have the quest priorities set as (character is All Access)

INI:
[QuestPriority]
Priorities=Levels|Durations|Rarities|Types
Durations=12h|6h
Rarities=Elite|Rare|Uncommon|Common
Types=Any
Levels=1|2|3|4|5

I can see it go through and look at all the quests, but it's not picking my available recovery quests (which are currently still level 1). I can't see why they would be specifically skipped.

This happens to me sometimes when I start MQ2 after an EQ session is already running. Shut everything down, reboot, start MQ2 first, then load the game and everything will work normally.
Will give it a try, thanks for the suggestion.

Don't think this has much to do with your macro but one of my account just starting asking for confirmation to start all missions and I have no idea if the macro accounted for that before and something is up with that ini or if it is new? Out of 5 accounts only one does this and I can't find any kind of setting for it and is making it so the macro will not run correctly.

The prompt is always there, but there's a bug in MQ2 core where sometimes that dialog box is not "seen" by macros. There's unfortunately nothing we can do about it from a macro perspective. As you said, restarting EQ or at least logging in/out is the only remedy. It won't go away on it's own otherwise.

... it's not picking my available recovery quests (which are currently still level 1). I can't see why they would be specifically skipped.

Recovery quests are never run. When they were added, nobody was able to explain a situation or logic when they'd actually want them run. So it was never added.

If you have specific scenarios or rules (or just allow them to be added to the list explicitly), then we can do that.

This is such a beautiful macro, thank you so much for writing it. I could have an issue where I need to RTFM but I've noticed that if I have 3-2-1 instead of 2-2-2 of any conversion tier that it will skip.
No big deal and not even something I would describe as a minor annoyance.
Have to admit, not totally clear what this is specifically referring to - 3-2-1 in the config file? Bit more clarifiction.

Do you ever reread something that you wrote and then wonder if you were awake at all?
Conversion quests only seem to be selected if I have 3 separate agents that are duplicates (2 of each) and are skipped over if I have 2 agents with duplicates but could still convert (3 of one, 2 of the other).

Trust me that happens all the time...

Conversion quests only seem to be selected if I have 3 separate agents that are duplicates (2 of each) and are skipped over if I have 2 agents with duplicates but could still convert (3 of one, 2 of the other).

There are or were certain types that cannot be converted against themselves. I think if one is disabled? I'll check to see the situation.

But you can always validate by trying to initiate the conversion manually and seeing if it lets you. (Checking now to refresh my memory but there were situations that it wasn't allowed).

I was able to manually run the Rare Conversion when I had 3 Ognit and 2 Overvolt literally seconds after the macro skipped over them. I'll.

The only info in my log is: Not enough duplicate agents for Rare Conversion so I'll update to run a debug log.

Started to reduce the tedium of claiming overseer collection dispensers. Far from complete and still manual interactions.

I want to it just do those missions that really have collection item dispensers for rewards and I guess some of the recruiting and or such, is there a way to do that?

In your ini

Any ideas? I'm getting this error consistently on one toon, but not necessarily on others.

Looks like the overseer window is bugged out. Check if your common conversion quest is available. Some reports on DB that it vanishes..
looks like it did a few conversions, claimed, then tried to do another conversion and cannot find the quest.

It's there and available. It actually puts all the people in but errors out when its time to claim. I can "start" it myself manually after the mac ends.

That's interesting. Hadn't heard this one (but then I'm not reading the forums lately). Is this a "thing"? Or just sporadic rumors at this point?

I'll look into what Jande said and do some tests. When Overseer was new, there was sometimes a delay between completing a Conversion mission and it re-appearing in the "available" tab. Maybe that delay has resurfaced or is so long it seems like it disappeared.

That's not the point at which the mac bugs out. It adds the overseer dudes to convert, hangs before it hits "start", and then the mac ends. It never clicks start.

So, I deleted my .ini and let it rebuild, and that seems to have fixed my issue.

Awesome tool! Is it possible to NOT run recruitment quests? I have plenty of agents and I would rather have it run something else in their place.

That is odd, the config should not cause a error in clicking start

Can confirm this is happening for me. For context, I ran the macro the morning after being on in the GL all night. It will set up the Common Conversion, but won't start it. Just hangs and eventually the macro "times out" and ends. In the case this morning, even when I watched over the macro and started all the quests manually, one of the agents blocked it from starting (failed to start, verify your agents...). Restarting the macro yields the same behavior. But the macro only "worked" if I directly selected Yes on dialog. The code in error is the same as reported by Sum1 above.

I've been using this macro almost since it's inception. I love it!

I've also been doing recruitment quests since the beginning. So I didn't realize how many Elite agents I had accumulated!

Someone explained to me that you don't really need duplicates so I manually retired most of the extra Elites and I was able to Maximize every type of quest experience! I kept 2 of each type of Elites so that if one is questing or incapacitated I'll still have another.

Then I also decided to change the Conversion logic to 3 instead of just 2. I figure I'll eventually end up with so many duplicate agents that I should be able to run any quest > 90% success ratio!

So far I've nearly maximized my Merc AA on all my primary characters. Then I'm going to finish their collection pieces. By then the new expansion may drop new Overseer rewards worth pursuing!

Doing it to me as well. Not clicking the Yes prompt and bugging out after a couple of tries. If I am fast enough to click start and yes on my own it continues on. Only on the conversion ones.

Having an issue when its done counting overseer, my wiz crashes to desktop. Only happens on one character.

Suspecting too many agents, suggest you manually retire some agents.

This is due to you having too many (more than 390?) agents. I have a test that'll filter it but more likely we should just turn that off. I think it's no longer necessary with recent changes by Daybreak or ...whoever makes this now.

Until then, comment out or remove line 49:
/call ValdiateMinionStatus

This will prevent the crash...

You are right - and I am sad. My main is up to 650+.

The counting is really cool - but since the only way is walking the UI deeper and deeper down the recursive path, I haven't found a way to work around this.
I have an initial MQ2Overseer plug-in that I aborted. Maybe it's time to work around this and solve it that way. (Once that rewards one is done... >grumble at my distractions<)

Could you make a setting to retire ultra rares once you get so many of them? I find the fact you cant use more than one of each agent ridiculous even though you can have 200 of each one.

/gripe
My initial thoughts was oh cool can retire them for xp. Then when I did I saw oh only overseer xp. Pretty pointless now as I have all the agents all overseer xp maxed and their use is now /puzzled.

@GoldenFrog

Code:
    /declare agentNode string Window[OverseerWnd].Child[OW_OM_MinionList].FirstChild
    /declare agentNodePrev

...
...

            /if (${agentType.Equal[Elite Iconic]})  {
                /varset eliteIconicDup ${eliteIconicDup}${agentName}|
                /echo \agRetire \aw${agentName}
                /invoke ${Window[OverseerWnd].Child[OW_OM_TopPane].Child[OW_OM_RetireButton].LeftMouseUp}
                /call ClickConfirmationYes
                /delay 5s
                /varset agentNode ${agentNodePrev}.Next
                /goto :nextAgent

...
...
    /if (${${agentNode}.Siblings}) {
        /varset agentNodePrev ${agentNode}
        /varset agentNode ${agentNode}.Next
        /goto :nextAgent
    }
Make sure to put the retire at the duplicate count spot, I made a mistake at first and retired a few of my nondupe heroes by accident /oops
big warning label (e.g setting in ini by default not retiring) about this code, have not tested it for all the funny business the windows throws at us

edit:
whoops there goes phini. rofl @others dont use this
seems need to wait a bit after removing something for the list to update

really? Have to try to retire some to max out all the stats then.

Conversions are really jacked up. It's like a game of wack-a-mole to get it to continue. All 6 of my toons are struggling with them. Conversions is the only thing I see the macro struggling with. It works perfectly otherwise. Why won't it click the yes prompt?

I've noticed my overseer automation is counting fippy darkpaw as a common, and not an elite cause he's at the bottom of the list I assume.

Yeah once in common agent set it assumes all is common, bit weird that he is at the bottom.
Can you post a screenshot please.

PS is the retire button for him enabled (that would be real stupid since you can only get him through the marketplace)
PPS is the overseer started bundle available still on the account with flippy ?

or /reload
So since /reload crashes my toons do I need to unload VV, then /reload, and finally reload VV? How long will that work for since you said it is a common problem? I am using the standard UI that comes with EQ, nothing fancy. CWTN MQ2 stuf, mq2autoloot, and of course this awesome macro. Nothing else that doesn't load with VV as standard.
